Interesting choice for shopping area! Try to see Gotemba Premium Outlet too if possible, shopping while able to see mount Fuji is quite remarkable experience (despite of it’s premium name, the price is very reasonable there)
Did you guys buy a Japan Rail Pass? I'm planning 7 days in Tokyo and then (7 days in Osaka and Kyoto). And I'm not sure if it's worth buying the JRP ticket :(
We did not get the JR pass. We spent most of our time in Tokyo exploring Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Daikanyama, etc… so we just used a Suica Card! This was helpful because we can use other metro lines freely! The JR pass doesn’t cover the other metro lines where you may want to use to explore Tokyo and Osaka’s inner cities. I would only recommend getting the JR pass if you’re going to other out skirts of these two cities. Hope that helps!
