@@peterhugh3956 yea we add some preserved veg too to give it some sweet and sour taste to mix it up. It's nice with many things, sometimes add chestnuts too at the end. Delicious!!!

I love this video and I just love the positive energy coming from it. When you spoke Hakka, it brought a tear to my eye. Appreciation for our culture have often taken a back seat and it is so amazing to see that wonderful bond you have with your amazing grandmother.
Hakka people are often loud, brash, bold and hearty (in a good way) and your grandma's cooking wonderfully encompasses all those wonderful values. Your recipe differs from mine a bit probably due to our difference in dialect. Yours sound similar to "sim on khek" while mine is "taipoo khek". That said, you spoke Hakka wonderfully.
Send my love to grandma and wish her good health and happiness always for me. Looking forward to stealing more of her recipes (hinting hard for "niang tofu" @ stuff tofu)
