  • Every Friday, a group of us homeschool families meet and review the Exploring Nature With Children Curriculum. Even though it is not a Waldorf curriculum (I think it sways more towards Charlotte Mason), it’s a beautiful group and a beautiful opportunity to get together and study nature. We meet each week at the same park and we study a new part of nature and then take a nature hike looking for that new piece of nature to study.
A few weeks ago, I helped my friend who runs the group and I took over the week where we studied clouds. We learned about the different types of clouds and I told this story about cloud formation.

Oh I love this! We're planning on including the water cycle in our home school when we look at the wind and cloud week (we use the year of learning - slow down curriculum). This story time will be loved so much by my kids, I'm sure.
Have you done any other similar stories about nature?

I love this story on cloudy formation. Very engaging. I would love to hear more of the stories you do to go with exploring nature with children.
