A beautiful tribute to my favorite place in the world.
Thanks for taking time out of your life to share a little with the world. My daughter and I are heading over to the garden island next Friday and making our own memories together. We will be doing the Napoli Coast hike over the course of four days and three nights. I hope it is a bit of a spiritual journey. The whole of life is a spiritual journey it is the love we share with one another that makes this life so worth living. Thanks for putting a little love out there for all of us. Mahalo...
I have viewed many, many videos on Kauai and all I have to say is that THIS VIDEO is by far the best! You did an incredible job editing and your music selection is spot on! Great job. I have been to Kauai three times, the first in 1968. You have captured what I remembered on the first trip when the island was a young state and not developed. It is my favorite island and the most beautiful. Your photography is great. Thank you.

Hello Natasha. Excellent combination of video, photography and appropriate music. Nicely done. I visited the Islands for the first time in Dec. 2011 when a family member and myself spent 12 nights in Kihei / Wailea in south Maui. When I got back home to Victoria, BC, I needed to learn more so I got a copy of James Michener's novel Hawaii from the local public library and that just wet my tongue for more of the Aloha state.Can't wait to return. Thanks.

I stumbled across this video again after seeing it a few weeks back, and I must say that you did an awesome job. The pictures you took were beautiful and I actually laughed out loud in a couple places, like the friendly tourist wave. Thanks for the 20 minutes of delight.

As a resident of Big Island, married to a local boy......thank you for showing the true Hawai'i! Not tv typical Hawai'i full of half naked people on beaches. This is a gorgeous video!

I flew to Kauai in '73 hoping to catch a west pac to Tahiti but when I came down that hill into Hanalei Bay it took my breath away and I stayed 4 years. I lived in a taro shack the old man Tai Hook (unofficial mayor of Hanalei) rented me fo $30 a month until it was swept into the sea during a big storm.

Great pictures you captured!! Gutsy gal travelling alone! We were there 5 months later and my husband ended up in the ER.. Our trip was cut short and his health declined for a year.. Then he started improving! We must get back. Thanks for sharing.

Lived on Kauai for 5 years. Best years of my life!! Your video brought back so many memories, especially the lighthouse. Very special spot in my heart....you made me cry....I miss that island sooooo much!

Lovely video. I hope you continue as a photographer. I was in Kaui during December 2008. I had a terrible time. It rained, it poured, no sunshine, no tours, moldy air...and I got pneumonia with black mold in my lungs, returning from the Marriot Hotel that had mold in the room. It was horrible. Your trip looked fabulous.
Kimberly Panfil I DO hope you'll try it again .. I had a most fabulous time when I was there (August). It's so worth it. Hope you recovered well.
It took about a year after I got home to get well 100%.... 103 fever 8 days~ 10 days on IV's in the hospital and steroids saved my life, but 30 lbs heavier, to get the mold out of my lungs and blood. A friend bought me Isagenix, shake and juice, some pills full of vitamins and vitamin B12...that restored my energy, thank God. I will try Maui~~but never again will I go to Kauai. I am so glad your experience was wonderful. I was not meant to go there.

You said you feel like you were going to die, and that was the spiritual experience? No! It comes from Akua (God), to the aina, for His people. I was born and raised on this island and I can tell you that EACH breath I took in that paradise gave me more hope, love, connectivity and pure love for humanity, this earth, its people and animals..
Wow I have been to Kauai like 4 times only overnight and have always wanted to get out and explore.. My family is headed there in June, also I am a amateur photographer .. Would love a list of spots where you took some of the shots! It was great thanks for putting that together...
Hello Nat , very nice and useful travel video of Kauai. We visited there couple of years ago and didn't get enough strong dosage of Taro chips and so the plan is to head back in October. You looked so sad during the final driving scene. We hope you made it back to the island as well. Take care. : )

the only bad part about visiting the islands (and it's pretty bad) is having to leave and return to normal life. great vid. makes me miss hawaii really bad.
OK, but don't forget Waimea Canyon lookout. And when you leave there, turn RIGHT to go up and see another famous (in calendars) but hidden spot. On your way back, don't miss the Shrimp Shack. And you GOTTA try the fried calamari at Duke's. And right by Duke's, you can sign up to paddle an outrigger. And so much more.

very enjoyable video! you got lots of nice photos! a bit unfortunate that things were foggy and overcast when you did Waimea Canyon though... and only 4 days? with that long of a flight you need to stay longer to make it worthwhile! every time I go on vacation now I take 2 weeks...
