3:15 - Watch at 0.25 speed, the front left wheel gun already has the tyre being drilled off before its stopped. It's amazing how in sync they all are.

I grew up in the 80's so my Dad was watching sports in the 70's. I wish i had a time machine where I could bring my Dad and a bunch of his mates forward 35+ years and blow their minds with these pit stops! Could you imagine it.

Red Bull are the masters of the sub 2sec pit stop pretty amazing when you think there changing all 4 tyres, I saw a video from 1989 Senna did a 6sec stop and Murry Walker said "very quick stop by the McLaren team"

NASCAR needs to look at F1 for pit stops. Instead of guys hiding behind the wall doing work to maintain the illusion of only so many pit crew people over the wall F1 is honest and sets up proper front left, front right, back left, back right, front, back, leftside, and rightside crews to do the work simultaneously. The crews are safer because they only have a small subset of the car to deal witg and the crew doesn't need to move around as much as a NASCAR crew does.
2 guys put their hands on the car, hold there, then let go. Wow, what a job...
You don't get it
The job of the stabilizers is very important - If they don't hold the car, the forces of the pneumatic wheel guns and tyres being changed will shift the car to the left or right - moving it off the jacks and ruining the car/rims/pitstop
The forces from the two people pushing against each other holds the car in place while the tyre changers change the tyres
Remember, the pneumatic wheel guns deliver over 2000 lb. ft of torque
Those are the stabilizers. Without them, everything would blow up into mess.
