Lmao, I come here every year to watch the reaction and then I forget this guy exists until the next worlds song drops.
The lines "This is what you asked for" and "heavy is the crown" are so meta. they apply to League, they apply to this cinematic, they apply to Faker, they apply to Linkin Park, they apply to Emily. They carry so much load!
It really reminds me of my favorite line from my (now probably second) favorite worlds song BIAD: "keep talking, keep laughing, one day you'll wish you hadn't "

Mike was in the premier of Arcane, han he said to Ovilee in the interview (before the meme) that he is more of a Riot fan, so of course his friends with all the music team. Besides this song is in Arcane, so of course they knew because im sure the animation on that comes back way more.

i complain because it misses the point and hype for a worlds anthem. this song was a lot better than star walkin, but i still think it misses the mark just slightly. its still hype, but nothing how hard it is to hold the crown. Even Gods, has lyrics that says what happens when you become "God"

It is not just the FAINT strings. Linkin Park tried a lot of string in the album REANIMATION, which came just before.
Azzapp had the take that resonated the most with me. It feels like a song from the time period that league came out in, not 15 years later. If you were to send this back in time and play it for people no one would think this is music from the future and I'm 1000% ok with that.
