This is 2023 , movie acted and story written 29 years ago portray education, awareness, information and moral lessons than most movies of today. TundeKelani is a legend.
This movie made me remember my late dad. He use to buy all dese movie as cassette back den when I was still small especially dis koseegbe, I can’t forget it. Rip to my dad 😢
Work of masterpiece.. Throughout the movie, no single utterance of spoken English, purely local dialect. Unlike today’s home videos that mix English with local dialect, all in the name of forming tushed and thereby making the movie lose it originality. Kudus to the good old days. I miss those
Thanks to Uncle TK for this evergreen work, funny enough, kósèègbe is my project's case study, supervise by Joke Muyiwa. Department of Performing art Olabisi Onabanjo university Ago Iwoye.
Professor Akinwunmi was such a prolific actor whose works continue to reflect current situations in the country. May his memory continue to be a blessing.
The situation of Nigeria made me come back to this movie and I wept over what the country has become now even our movie industry is not helpful ... .2022. #YorubaNationNow
Watching in 2020! Quite young when I first saw this movie, barely understand the storyline then. It portrayed and will continue to portray what goes on in our society. thank you Daddy TK for giving us this and every other evergreens, you made my childhood
This are the days where producers and story writers make reflections on what's obtainable in our society and this is what we need to consume in this generation in order to sustain our heritage. Excellent piece. Evergreen!
The sad thing is we won't appreciate the beautiful works of Tunde Kelani until he's gone. This seems ages ago, when I watched this in black and white TV with zero worries on my mind. Watched Owo Blow and Ti oluwa nile days ago and I had tears in my eyes. Lots has changed in our world. Lots!
I remember watching the very first version of this story back in the 70's, it was transmitted in 2 parts on Nta back then. This one is a redo, how things have changed, I remember those phones that u will spend a minute dialing and then u will get 'All trunks are busy' so u will dial again and spend the whole day dialing. The 90's looks hard when I look back but back then, it was the best days, we was young and healthy, how I wish I had it all again.
Tunde kelani, congratulations on your recent award, all your work done will forever be projecting you to the TOP MOST till you are aged. And my respect also goes to KOLA OYEWO whom I love watching in your movies. Great Heroes...... Never die.
whenever i watch mainframe movies, i feel kind of euphoric that something great like this is done in Nigeria and got me thinking why we couldnt honor this great men and women who have and are telling the African story in the African way like the Indian Government does with their thespians? Every year you see top indian artistes decorated as padma shri, padma vibushan, etc in recognition of their contribution to arts but als in Nigeria when the government helps it is either to cter for a dying artiste. it is saddening. Sir Tk, i pray God elongate your life and that you get the recognition you deserve. kindly help upload ayo ni mofe. thanks sir
This is my first time of watching the movie as we don't have access to TV back then. We only heard people talking about it then. Despite the fact that the movie is over 20years it is still very much relatable to Nigeria current situation.
2021 team here.are you there When people were watching this movie in my presence then.all i could understand and remember now is the pictures and the end.its because I was merely 3yrs of age when it was released.a great art that depicts the system we were born on that is still finding it way with us. may God preserve Baba Tunde Kelani longer for us.
A revolution cannot be a one-man affair! TK, has offered us solutions to our predicament along time ago through is evergreen movie series.. Yoruba firm industry needs to retrace their their lost track. I'm fortunate to be part of 19s century...Long life TK
NEPA did not allow me to enjoy this movie in our Neighbour's house when I was young. @01:80Saliu o mugbo.... bo lomo se wan go bayi o I cannot forget this statement
This masterpiece is exactly the replica of the current situation of this country. There are a few good persons out there wanting to make a change but the wicked ones are the one thwarting their efforts. May God deliver Nigeria from corruption.
I love the scene of Ogbeni Mako and Silifa. The conversations in the living room were so enriching, and the legendary actors acted it so well. The sharing of thoughts of the three crooks is also very interesting. It will be difficult to have another Yoruna movie to surpass Kosegbe. It's always refreshing watching it. Reformation is possible if we are determined to do so. There will always be a way. Thanks to all that made this possible.
You can never get tired of watching video like this, it always bring back those old memories and give a kind of feelings you have experienced in a while 😊😊😊 I LOVE IT...
To think I was just telling my wife that I have searched everywhere on RUclips for Baba's (TK) Kòseégbé but all was in futility. A random check as usual and voila!!! It's already uploaded. Whosoever that did this, may your work bless generations just as TK's masterpiece has blessed a whole lot. This is a film I can't be tired of watching, viewed it when I was 12 or so. Even with the age of the film everything about it was top notch. What we have in the nollywood now is iranu upandan. In a nutshell the synonym of this movi is NIGERIA! GOD help us. Ìwà ìbàjé ti wà ojó pé.
Salu ohun mugbo.... I remember we used to joke with this line back then in the mid 90's but am back here to watch again in year 2020 and will probably come back to watch again because this is an evergreen political satire. kudos Uncle TK
Imagine a 1996 movie nd the education system of Nigeria is already corrupt,d customs are already taking bribe nd implicating each others in other to to remain in power, the thugs have been used, children are hawking on d street nd until date it is still dsame thing. Now my question is what year gangan did Nigeria citizens enjoy good government???
This awesome. An evergreen blockbuster, very relevant even now. All mainframe productions are award winning movies. Thoughtfully prepared, professionally scripted and acted, and masterly delivered. I doff my hat.
Continue to rest in peace dad, this movie remind me of you when you are all dressed up in your uniform in the Nigerian customes. You met your untimely death in the line of duty.
Anytime im watching movie like this..i wish i could switch back the time to my childhood days,me and my peers sitting on the floor while my brothers and sisters on the couch watching together on that black and white TV😊😊😊😊

When will I be tired of watching this classic movie? It epitomizes Nigeria's bureaucracy, while providing roadmaps for how to navigate through the trubulent periods. Above all, it brings to fore the values and the enviable traditions that characterize Yoruba' s social snd political ethos. Awesome work!
It should be noted here that the Legendary (Tunde Kelani) is a film maker while late Prof Akinwumi Ishola was the writer of the story. The two of them did a very good job- Kudos to both of them. This movie and the others are fantastic.
Societal challenges are enormous;only collective efforts can reduce it to a barest minimal but bear in mind that they can not be completely eliminated.God Bless the good people in this Nigeria,& elsewhere. I like this production and its content.
