- It is the 80th birthday of the Matriarch of Duro Ladipo family and today friends, family and associate are gathered in the city of Ibadan to celebrate the Iconic Woman. We at LibraTv join family and friends to celebrate her by bringing to you her most recent production, Moremi Ajasoro, written by her late husband, world acclaimed dramatist, Durodola Ladipo and rearranged by another veteran, award winning writer, late professor Akinwumi Ishola.
Starring many veterans both late and living like Adebayo Faleti, Akinwumi Isola, Lere Paimo, Yemi Eleburuibon, Lanre Hassan, Iyabo Ogunsola, Adebayo Salami, Yinka Quadri, Tola Oladokun, Gbolagade Akinpelu, Muyiwa Ademola, Abiodun Duroladipo, Sola Akinsola, Wole Duroladipo, Yomi Duro Ladipo and many more

wait no one is talking about Moremi son always being as joyous as his mother like it been long but i can't lie to you, I felt the pain of a mother for the first time even without me getting to the point it actually happened in the movie, me recollecting the story of Moremi and also seeing the way she was brave, happy and always putting a smile on her face not only that look at the way Moremi and her son danced in the second to third scene I won't lie to you am courageous but I don't think I can go to that length because I felt the pain of a mother loosing her child not even a child but the only child wow am speechless. I think we Yoruba's should wake up and remember what a woman has done for us we are just not anybody but we are someone among the Africans we are well known for our legends, stories of our forefathers and all that, believe me if Moremi son was alive he would also have had so many generations after him Yoruba's lets wake up a whole linage of someone that could have become even a nation on it own was sacrificed for our happiness hmm

I love everything about Ife and their beautiful heritage... My great grandfather was named "Adetufewa", (The Crown comes from Ife) .The Maporure of Aheri Kingdom in Ilaje, Ondo state. Kudos to everyone that made the movie possible. Awesome!
I remembered this film shown on NTA ibadan around 1979 to 80 with mama Biodun Duroladipo played role of Moremi, layemore played by Duroladipo may his soul rest in peace and akaraogun played the role of ugbo baba alawo RIP to him too. i wish mama Biodun Duroladipo Long life. kudos to the cast and Crew. i really enjoyed it

Seeing these old stars all in one movie just brought back the memory of our black & white colout tv, NTA channel & my late Dad who happened to be a big fan of so many of them.May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Better late than never,l believe that the teaching of history should be restored back to our primary and secondary school curriculum. It was through history that l got to learn about how our kings fought against the invasion of our country by the colonial masters great men like king Jaja of Opobo and Oba Overami of Benin among others.

Moremi ajasoro is an epic wonderful Yoruba movie that teach the history of Yoruba race.
I so much love dis movie , I had to write a lot of proverb and dialogues that are interesting.

My mom is from royal lineage in Ado-Ekiti, It's unbelievable to see those masquerades. In the 70's we always come out to watch them during festival period. I enjoyed this movie too much! Thanks guys!!!!!

A classic movie,watched an older version when I was a kid.
