    I have a 2014 Trance 2, and was wondering how and if I could run internal droppers. So glad I found this video!

      I like the video. I tried using string trimmer line and it went around the crank spline when I threaded it from the bottom cable opening. This video helped me know what obstacles to get around, so I didn't have to remove the bottom bracket. Thanks!!

    Thank you so much! Managed to fish the cabling without taking away the bottom bracket

    Just got a contact dropper post but I didn’t know how to route it through the frame. I have a 2014 trance advanced 27.5 so it wasn’t too different at all. Great video explaining the process and how-to of the installation. Thanks!

      Thanks! Yeah, I think the advanced is a bit easier because the cable doesn't snag on the joints. Droppers are awesome. Have fun riding!

    I have a carbon frame Trance and found there was no need to take out the bottom bracket. Here's my process;
    1. Remove the grommet near the headstem (right side of the bike) & the grommet for the rear derailleur - slide this one along.
    2. Take a small nut - say M5 or 1/4" and tie it onto one end of a strong nylon sewing thread (strong means you can't break it with your hands)
    3. With bike on its wheels drop the nut with the thread tied to it into the top grommet hole, rattle it around until it reaches the bottom bracket.
    4. Stand the bike up on its back wheel, rattle it until you hear it drop into the seat tube. Lay it back
    5. bit more rattling and it will fall out of the seat tube
    6. Fit the grommet you removed from near the headstem to the cable - the correct way around helps...
    7. feed and pul the cable into the frame.
    8. You will see the cable arrive at the derailleur grommet hole - I had to cut and re-tie the thread as it had become twisted around the derailleur cable.
    9. You can then feed and pull on the thread with moderate pressure and that will bend the cable around the corner.
    10. then just hook everything up.
    took about 10 minutes (sorry Mr Lau...)
    Now - the ally frames may be more difficult due to the internal edges on the frame - might cut your thread - but this is probably worth a go before you pull out your bottom bracket.

    Bending the cable housing was all I needed to do on my Trance -- no bottom bracket removal, no special tools. I used a piece of solid heavy gauge electrical wire to fish the housing out of the down tube hole (a wire coat hanger should work).
