what is the difference in short ??? does it worth updating my car to have the follow assist ? i try a lot highway? from what year this started to be in mid cars like elantra and veloster and kia forte and their rivals from other brands ? does 2019 elantra or veloster or forte have this follow to center you in middle ?

To summarise one of them tries to stop you leaving your lane, and the other one tries to keep you dead centre of your lane… Unfortunately I’m not familiar with the models you have as you might be based in Canada or USA? But this feature became more common on most models from 2021 onwards.👍

There are so many ‘distressed’ markings on our roads that this can be positively dangerous. It even tries to follow the lines formed where they lay strips of tarmac

I guess ultimately the driver retains control at all times , but I can understand why people don’t always like these features but I guess there was a time where people didn’t like safety belts , most features even if annoying usually represent progress 🙂 hey thanks for watching !

@@doolanbrian it feels as though it’s trying to steer against you in my SantaFe. Quite unnerving when roads are narrow

@@herrtomas6729 totally understand what you mean , over time these systems will improve and become more autonomous and intuitive 🙂👍

I like the LKA on the motorway, but on countryside roads with potholes I always turn it off.

@@Nam3Iess I would agree with you there .. it’s not so nice on small roads 🙂

i’ve rented two Hyundais over the past two years and when i use adaptive cruise control the car practically drives itself on the highway
