This is a nightmare that you can't turn off. Even if you go to Setup and select "off", When you turn on the car again It will set itself up again. Just like a malicious software does. Every time you start driving It will beep annoyingly. Sometimes It will "help" you with steering when you don't want to. You have to manually turn if Off EVERYTIME you start the car. Amazing that Hyundai doesn't let the owner/driver disable the thing. I am seriously thinking of selling my brand new Tucson because of that. It's driving me crazy.
Hello, how can I permanently set my lane keeping assist to "warning only"? Because every time i turn on the car it's always on "assist" and i have to manually set it off from the settings... Very annoying
One actually, bumps the steering wheel left/right to keep you centered in the lane, the other will warn you if you start to cross a line without the turn signals on.
It does not keep the car centered, its more on the left line than the right on my 2019 model. Hope the adaptative cruise control has been updated, when the car in front take an exit my car slow down quite a bit for nothing. The lates version does not have a head out display, this can be a very good improvement.
I noticed the same thing when I test drove a 2021 Kona N-Line today. It felt like it was closer to the left than the right. Looking at the left side mirror, there seems to still be enough distance between the left line and car that it was still okay
I drive a Hyundai and absolutely hate this lane assist rubbish. Feels like you have a puncture when it kicks in. I can turn it off but only for that trip. You have to turn it off each journey.
I bought in april after 7k driving have trobles with haptic steering wheel system. Always displays error of haptic steering wheel system. Dealer checked no result. Finally Seoul wrote wait a bit new software will solve this problem.
I30 elite. It is dangerous indeed. Be willing to man-handle it in an emergency, or be super quick to use your indicator to deactivate it in an emergency. For a safety feature, I don't feel super safe with it auto resetting to full assist everytime I start the car. And deactivating it before every drive is crazy crazy crazy anoying! Hyundai! Give us the choice to pick our setting and let it maintain it please! This is dangerous... wresteling an active correction toward danger I'm already in control of and was busy navigating around... it's equivalent to the wrestle happening if a front passenger all of a sudden started yanking in the steering wheel if somehow they thought they needed to intervene, which then becomes the most dangerous situation in a instant as two people yank on the steering column. This system is waaaaay too sensitive and yanks on the steering wheel when I'm still well within the lines. It goes crazy on rural roads as well, and makes the car very unpredictable. If you don't listen to thousands of clients you will lose market share. It's either that or please fix your annyoing early (nanny) enagement system. Been driving my whole life but feel like I'm being pinged every time I drive around a curve. Have to hug the inside line (if not cut accross it) for the system not to intervent and complain.... veeeery veeeeeeeeeeeery annoying! 🤯
Hello Marius. We are sorry to hear about your experience. We strongly recommend visiting your local dealership as they would be best equipped to assist you. ^cc
I don't believe they will assist me as I have extensively read up on the topic on forums. Many do not like this unpolished "safety product" and are very frustrated that it can't be changed (and it remember the owners' preference!). Your answer just shows that you don't have a solution and pointing me to a local branch that will never ever take on "a liability" in allowing owners to switch off the function is just unethical. Please write back if you have a list of instructions on how the owner can do what they desire. If not, your answer is clear for everyone to read.
Thanks for this video. I didn't understand the difference between Lane Following Assist and Lane Keeping Assist. Big help! 😅
We're glad you found this helpful, Malik!
Lane Following Assist is controll the vehicle follow the lane center and Lane Keeping Assist is controll the vehicle in the lanes
Ive had my Tucson Ultimate for 2 weeks now!!I. I love it!!Love when it tells you the car in front has moved off!!😂
I wish more people had that. I wouldn't have to honk so often.
More videos like this on the 2022 Tucson please!!
this car only came out 2 months ago
So glad there were options given to turn off if wanted. Now if we can turn off the back up sound on the tucson hybrid, I would be oh so happy.
Thank you! Just purchased a 2023 Tucson Hybrid
Congratulations on your new Hyundai Tucson, Donna! What has been your favorite feature so far?

There’s an on/off button on the steering wheel 🙄
Yeah I don't know what you are talking about. I can turn it off via steering wheel.
@@siddhantkapil8367 Yeah but you have to turn It off every time you turn on the car. You just can't leave It turned off.
Hold the button on the steering wheel down for like 10-20 seconds and it’ll turn off
My dealer told me to never turn it on
.
Loudly, maybe this is a Hyundai problem.
Btw, I never have. owner of a 2023 Tuscan...
Ngl, Hyundai has some of the best driver assist features I’ve ever used.
Is the safety features like drive assist for only limited trim ? Or also SEL trims as well?
Please see the drivers manual for this information. Thank you. ^cc
i have it on my sel w/ convenience package.
Do you have departure warning if car is in lane next to you?
Yes there is

Please reach out to your local authorized Hyundai dealership for this information. ^cc
4:04. Lane FOLLOWING and Lane KEEPING seem to be the same thing. What am I missing?
One actually, bumps the steering wheel left/right to keep you centered in the lane, the other will warn you if you start to cross a line without the turn signals on.
Does this work on freeways with the bright concrete and white lanes during days with the sun head-on?
In the rain with a specific barometric pressure every other leap-year only when it lands on a Tuesday?!
is this system on premium model as standard
Very instructive. Love Hyundai. I got a Santa Cruz 2025
I have problem with haptic steering system
How do I turn it back on

Are you supposed to use the touch screen while you're driving?
How do you cut it off it’s annoying lol
What if it doesn’t work ? What we have to do in this situation?
steer the car yourself!
It's a big help for sharing this video. thank u 👍😊👍
We're glad to help! Thank you for driving with us 😄
@@hyundai we like the design it's awesome for my eye. good job. 👍😊👍
Thanks
Why can't Ieave my windows cracked when I lock my car? The car alarm keeps going off.
Just got a Santa Fe, it really feels strange.
is it normal even i turn it off after 30 minutes its automatically turn on 😢😢😢
Double white lines on a thin country road with no line on the edge it ran me off the road!!!!!!!
It doesn't recognize grass or other edges on rural roads. It requires a line on each side. I noticed that day 3 I had the vehicle.
I just want turn off the sound warning.
My dad could use that.

I find it more a hinderance than a help

It’s terribly annoying and I couldn’t turn it off completely !!!!
Hold button on steering wheel down for like 20 seconds. It’ll turn it off
I don't like this feature it's not safe to me it's a little scary because it moves the steering wheel
I love this feature
