It's always strangely satisfying to engage in or watch evil-vs-evil combat, isn't it? That's why I enjoyed the Monsoon fight from Metal Gear Rising, a boss who aggravated many players. It's Sociopathic Child Soldier versus Nihilistic Philosopher. The idiot tries to break you before the fight, and in doing so, winds up bringing out your inner evil. Yes, it's an overused trope, but still awesome.
The point of this story is not for you to treat Adachi like a hero or even feel sympathetic to Adachi [he did indirectly kill people, indirectly kidnapped minors, and wanted the world to be shadows], but understand that he is willing to pay the price [which would either be serving time in prison or die by defending that price] for his actions aka "my rules" which was his promise at the climax of P4. He even started helping out the IT before this if you remember his letter in P4 climax which he had no obligation to do so. He could have easily escaped anytime [he just needs a TV as Minazuki said "you should still have the power"] after Minazuki got him out, have his "revenge" against the IT, or just let the world be destroyed, but that would interfere with his new personal philosophy of paying for his crimes no matter what since he has to respect this reality he hates. He also went out of his way to make sure nobody else died [literally talking Sho/Minazuki out of it whenever possible] because otherwise it's gonna be the fog murders all over again which would complicate the Inaba murder cases that was barely still alive [that Adachi had to confess 100% to keep alive and was truthful about any false leads/evidence the detectives had on him] due to the supernatural nature surrounding it. Adachi doesn't care for any of them, but he can't ignore them either. Adachi was shown to be annoyed at the delay for not prosecuting him at the beginning and shown relief when the process was happening at the end. It was his new reality/new purpose for life that he needs to follow. Adachi as a character is an interesting foil to Narukami who literally are polar opposites in many ways. The P4G anime even shown some interesting backstory of Adachi back when he was still in school, early days in the police, etc. It really showed that Adachi had a distorted view of the world seeing the "bonds" as more of a hinderance then what Narukami saw as something to embrace. At the end you have to at least respect the level of conviction the guy has to pay for his sins [he literally went against a supernatural being to do so while making sure nobody else died]. Nothing more nothing less he deserves. Better then criminals that constantly try to run away/hide/deny what they did. Dojima even mentions in the P4G epilogue that he ended up being a "model prisoner". Don't be mistaken though Adachi still hates bonds and such, but he is annoyed at himself for getting caught up in the moment where it looks like he has bonds like with his interactions with Narukami or Dojima. He is annoyed that they both see what they consider the "good" part of him, but lets them be because they are "stubborn". I guess the whole point of the character that the developers want to show that some prisoners may have a shred of goodness or at least a moral compass/life philosophy deep inside themselves even if it isn't apparent for themselves. Not to mention that even if your not a prisoner you could still be considered a bad person like that abusive police officer interrogating Adachi. Not everything is black/white.
+mrharvy100 A side note: Adachi thinks that Minazuki did not cross the point of redemption (A.k.a killing people) like he did. By his own "rules/moral code";, Adachi saving the day with Narukami does not redeem himself for his crimes. He could escape at the end of the game, it was the PERFECT opportunity, but he choose to go back to prision. By his on choice.
Seeing Adachi stick up for Dojima in the beginning like that gets to me, man. He does it in the way that matches his character, but to know that they both still care about each other is pretty rad.
W-wow. I was worried Adachi would be the same psychopathic killer from Persona 4 just to please the fan, but Adachi (while still having an evil side to him) shows signs of character development. Way to go.
I always thought adachi was a character with depth even in the original persona 4 game. He was an antagonist that felt very human and you couldn't but feel at least a little sympathetic towards him. I really like the fact that made him even more developed as a character in this game. He ends up realizing how wrong he was and seriously does the best he can to make amends for what he has done. Even though it will likely never truly be forgiven.
He even insists to go back to prison aside from escaping. He made "rules" for himself that he should take the blame for everything. He really is something.
@@burntcinnamon1735 Wait. Wait hold the fuck up. Is that...is that true?! Like is it genuinely true that two sarcastic bitter-ass bored guys with brown extra short hair and no talent, who would both win the most-sass-in-the-world competition if they said the things that they think, have the same VA ???
Adachi: I guess having a bond like this isn't so bad. (dramatic music) *You art I, and I art thou. Thou has unlocked the social link of the Magician Arcana.* Adachi: "Social Link?" Great, more pain in the ass magic bullcrap to deal with... feels pretty good though.
daniel R. I think social links are different to different people. Dojima was the Hierophant cause it represents guidance and someone to look up too to Narukami, but Magician typically the first step or the first friend/person met on a journey.
I've always found Adachi a bizarrely likable character. He's definitely bad, but he's a multi-layered person, not just some dastardly villain. We like to label people as either saints or scumbags but the truth is almost always somewhere in the middle.
I mean he said multiple times that he worked his ass off studying which is why he never understood the bonds and the why he thinks this world is boring
That was it actually. Adachi was shown to be someone that studied very hard to be a cop and also showed signs of intelligence through some parts of the game meaning that he had the talent to have a good position in the PD but instead he was sent to Inaba under a very low position.
Yeah, he's actually really smart. He just acted stupid so that no one would possibly suspect he was the killer. The Investigation Team was only able to figure out he was suspicious due to a slight misstep from him and a few convenient outcomes.
Adachi's... Almost a tsundere towards Dojima and Yu, isn't he? Gives no shits if he's messed with, but mess with them and he's ticked because he sees them as "better people" in a way.
they both continued their kindness towards him despite him trying to reject it, so it'd be embarrassing for him if they found out they got to him you know?
I love that after all the talk of how much he hates everything, Dojima actually manages to put a crack in Adachi's nihilistic attitude through his persistence.
Kinda makes me want a more in-depth look at their time as partners on the force, since most of what we got to see in P4 was just Dojima yelling at Adachi.
I love how Adachi's personality is in this, not like most antagonists you play as in games, Adachi's personality was laid back through and through, he didn't give a crap what was happening, but he also didn't want anyone to die, true redemption through and through.
Adachi really didn't want any more people to die in similar ways to the TV murders. As that would complicate things for him further. Additionally it could make it seem like he didn't do it, when he wants to just serve the time for the crimes he did. Not that the police will ever truly understand all the bizarre shit in that case.
Another thing I like about this is the fact that, despite seeming to have a more goofy or collected facade in the other routes, they put in the extra detail of the expressions in HIS Route, truly showing how tired and emotionally conflicted he feels.
I really love what Atlus does with Adachi by showing that he too can change but never shying away from the crimes he has committed. Yeah I still want him to pay for his crimes but I still want to wish him the best, especially sense he's going to go to prison.
@@nuetralkitty58 He can't be executed since the police can't properly connect him to the murders due to the way they were committed. In P5, he was mentioned as "Suspect Under Investigation" and suspects are usually allowed to go once the police decides to let them go free due to lack of evidence so... 🤣 It's very likely that he'll come back if Atlus drags him to one of their other projects. Besides, I don't think they'll get rid of him THAT easily, especially since he's very loved and popular in Japan.
Just saying Adachi was just beaten up to the point of falling unconcious and almost dying, and then proceeds to FIGHT A GOD and actually hurt it. Solo. Say what you will; he's pretty BA.
It's a sense of respect, and also understanding of how one can be boggled down. Hell, it's implied here and there on how maybe with the right company he could've ended up like Yu.
Man... After finishing persona 4 golden, I actually kind of understood where adachi was going and wanted a sequel about his story and his personality... And then when I saw the trailer for p4au adachi and was like 'YES!' then I thought that he was gonna be another villain who's character gets completely ruined by trying to get revenge because the trailer framed him as a villain again... Turns out Atlus did the absolutely right thing by making this incredible DLC. Damn it Altus you're making me beg for another awesone sequel TAT ...
u know regardless about what Adachi says I still think he sees Dojima as a friend....I mean he made a face when that guy talked shit about Dojima probably being a dirty cop. If he really didn't care for him he would've just laughed it off
Keyblade Apprentice Playthroughs I think it was Adachis fault. He may didn't plan to let Nanako get killed, but when he heard about it, he did absolutely nothing! He could have saved her, but he didn't. Maybe he didn't do it, because then everyone would know, he had something to do with the case, but if he had actually cared for Nanako, he wouldn't let that happen. As for Dojima: He is very kind, but also very naive. He always believes in the good in people's hearts and that's why he forgave Adachi and Namatame at the end...
TBH the very fact that Adachi is even in this game is a spoiler- the whole reason him being the killer is such a big twist is because he just doesn't seem important, he's just a walking plot device there to show up and accidentally let slip information to the IT in order to move the plot forward.
Yomi ShadowWraith Persona 4 has been around for 6 years now. 90% of the people who even know about P4, know the entire plotline, and those that dont , know nothing about the game to begin with so they wouldnt be the ones to watch a video like this.
Seriously guys... If they watch it without Persona 4 or not is up to them ^^ Of course they should look Persona 4 first but only if they want to understand why Adachi is inprisoned if they don't want to it's oke also i didn't play P4 and watched this but before i knew Adachi was the culprit back then because i watched the anime o: so yeah it's oke i think :)
I like how Adachi is kind of in denial here He claims to hate the world and everything in it, but there's still a part of him that cares for the Investigation Team even if it's subconsciously tucked away
I feel like Dojima and Yu are the father and younger brother that Adachi never had. As much he can try to push them away, he'll always love them deep down. Seeing his inner monologues and the mental gymnastics he goes through to convince himself he doesnt need them is actually painful. Im really glad they wrote him like this and didnt just copy paste the Adachi from P4 here.
Man, Dojima is a true Broske for visiting Adachi, even when his daughter was nearly killed by Adachi's little game he still treats Adachi like a friend.
Monique Kalu I really find it stupid on how people won't believe them on the T.V. world situation. I mean, Adachi or Yu and the Mystery Gang could just show it to someone if they had a TV around. Especially when Yu was being held in the detainment center during P4 being interrogated when all he had to do is stick his hand into the TV behind him to show Dojima he was innocent.
David Menez They don't do that because of the panic it could cause. They've all come to realise that if humanity learns of the existence of a world where your thoughts become reality, that your dark secrets are roaming around in the form of shadows and personas it could cause mass hysteria. Society in Inaba almost collapsed because of the midnight channel, the window into that world. And don't say they can show it to Dojima only because even if they did, that wouldn't change anything. Dojima alone doesn't have the power to decide the outcome of the case, remember that he's only a detective. The only people that would affect the case's outcome is the superintendent and the judge. Why am I the only person who gets this?
TheHappy_P0tat0 But this goes against everything Persona 4 stands for. Izanami says: "People don't care for the truth, it does no good. It's better to be ignorant." Yu and friends say "No, you're wrong. People do care about the truth. Ignorance is not bliss" Yu repels Izanami with the bonds he's made, and she backs off. Yet the masses stay ignorant, and nothing changes.
Through all of this, I'm more impressed about Dojima. Adachi was a real pain in the ass for him in so many ways - the would-be-murder of his daughter, the lousy detective work Adachi did out of laziness that made him upset, the actual murders that happened within Inaba... and yet he still visits him. It's as if Dojima also grew as a person. He really wanted to kill Namatame for what he allegedly did to his daughter, but Adachi was the real culprit all along and he does nothing to try and kill Adachi for it. I think Dojima's a pretty big hero through all of this, too. He doesn't see Adachi as a worthless criminal, he sees him as a colleague who went down the wrong path - like an evil version of Yu, same Persona as well. He cares about Adachi despite everything that happened and I think that that's the most unusual thing about the story for me. Dojima freaks out SO OFTEN in Persona 4 over the smallest things, yet in Ultimax he really became Zen.
Well Dojima was still.dealing with the trauma of his wife passing and had to raise Nanako on his own with a job that made it hard to do so. Add that with the murder cases,it is easy to see why Dojima couldn't find the time in a high stress work environment to relax added with being a widow and single father.
I love Adachi as a character. He was a well-written villain that you can't help but hate/love. That last image of him and Dojima contained so many feels that my heart melted.
probably 5-7 years. He admits to being the killer but the proof is fictional. an officer Assaulted him and pointed a gun to him. He ended up outside the police station beaten. returned of his own free will if he is lucky he might even get parole for being a good inmate.
Fun Fact: The person who gave birth to Hi-No-Kagutsuchi was none other than miss Izanami-no-Mikoto. When she gave birth to it, the flames devoured her and killed her. That started the whole debacle with Izanagi-no-Mikoto (her husband) looking at her after she came back from the dead as an ugly living corpse, her getting angry because she told him not to look, and then the entire shebang with the two happened. So basically, everything is Hi-no-Kagutsuchi's fault for killing Izanami.
Pokemonique and after he returned from the afterlife Izanagi-no-Mikoto washed himself and gave birth to Susano-o, Amaterasu and the moon god whose name I don’t remember at the moment
To be fair it’s hard to blame a newborn for accidentally killing its mother. It’s not like Kagutsuchi just popped out and strangled Izanami with his flaming umbilical cord or something.
Probably where he got it from, considering Sho wound up reminding Adachi of himself. Tohru-kun's really grown in the year and change he's spent in prison. Would be interesting if he could get out and get to put his skills to better use.
Adachi is still my favorite character in Persona 4, I could care less what other characters there were. He's probably the only one who represents people's frustration with the world as a whole.
What a shallow perspective if your only determining factor for a boyfriend is not his motivations, ambitions, personality, wealth, or job and it is instead.... the color of his hair decided by his genetics over which he has no control. How quaint. Adachi was right about some people, I suppose.
Really glad to see there was some redemption for Adachi. He was one of my favorite characters in P4 and it was almost heartbreaking when all the clues pointed to him xD
This was amazing. It was great to see Adachi-san again. That ending really got to me though seeing that last scene with him and Dojima-san. i could not help but smile seeing through all his talk of being alone that there was still a bond that stayed through with him till the end.
Don't insult Dojima in front of Adachi. If he didn't have those restraints, Adachi would probably murdered "Middle Age Detective" after messing with him.
Let's face it, Adachi-san was all the time an underground hero, meanwhile we see how the story develops we can see how he worries for the kids, he tries to save everyone and letting no victims left. Always harsh with his thoughts about bonds and people but in the end he cared for all of them, he wanted to pay for his sins even when he didn't repent for making them. Such an amazing and well developed character he is, an excellent view of an anti-hero. Gotta love Adachi-san.
You forgot one thing: He also wanted no victims, because the case would become even more complicated, than it already was. But yes, he also worried a bit for the others.
Yumiko shiro I think they're deliberately ambiguous on if he's doing it purely out of selfishness so the case doesn't get re-opened, or if he does genuinely wanna help Yu and co.
charcharmunr I see. I guess, you're right. I think it's a bit sad, he's a DLC-character, because his story is very important in the game. He was the only DLC-character in the game with a story. It would be funny, if he was a DLC-character in P4 Dancing all night. But I doubt that will ever happen.
To say nothing of getting his yellow coat back that he's seen taking off in his intro. It's said he was supposed to have it as "The Killer" but it could never be put to use.
I love how this turned Adachi into one of the most interesting villains by giving Adachi the possibly best villain redemption arc I've ever seen. It fits his character, it felt like a testament of what "paying for your crimes" really mean, and how Yu really changed him. It's one of the stories I like to get back to whenever I think of him.
I actually started crying during the ending, whaaaat And okay, Adachi is now officially my favo character (sorry Yosuke ww). Should I feel bad for that? lol
Actually, Dojima being home or not doesn't affect Nanako's eating habits, since she either orders food/buys premade meals from Junes or has Yu cook for her.
you know i find it ironic that it seems like dojima seems to treat adachi better after he was revealed as a killer rather than when he was a subordinate.
i love how utterly unhinged adachi is, while STILL being a character that follows through on his word (whenever he gives it for real). Psycho murderers don't become accidental antiheroes without a good dose of actual charactr growth.
This is the best form of redemption in which redemption is a -side effect- of the things he's doing. He's like "Fine i'll do it". It's not some edgelord "but i have to, because my morals clash", it's more of a "but i have to cause fuck i have nothing better to do."
Becouse his personallyti is only carismatic and that kind of things becouse the things he do make mee want to kick him Its like Akechi i hate the things he do and make me want to kill him but his personallyit make me is good I still dony forgive the both (Sorry my english suck) (Adachi isint my favorite Character in all the franchis3 but he is cool)
There is a special place in hell for his parents for turning Adachi into a monster. I know Adachi willingly sent people into the TV World to die but if his parents had shown him even a shred of kindness, maybe he wouldn't have walked down the path he did.
"You know... I seriously hate this world. Don't put me in the same shoes as a half-ass brat like you !" It took me a while to figure out why this sentence hit as right as it did. Adachi during his dungeon in p4 spent his entire time rambling about how everyone deep down is just as rotten as he is. He hates the world, just like you do, deep down, you're too scared to admit it. Which is why it's okay he kill those people or tries to end the entire world. He was projecting his own shitty worldview unto everyone else. But here, while he still stands by his mishantropy, he cites it as something that sets him apart from other Sho (and by extension, from everyone else). He hates this world, UNLIKE you. Adachi hasn't changed his opinion of the world, but he has accepted that not everyone is secretely just like him. That some people geniunely believe in that bonds crap and find fullfilment in it. Which means his justifications were as empty as the investigation team called them. Even more, he has developed the same disgust for those false justifications, to the point he steals one of the punchlines Yukiko threw at him to throw it at Sho. I love it. It's such a cool development to give to what was originally such a unidimensionnal villain and it makes him both far more human and far more terrifying than before.
@@TheRagnarose yeah, unidimensionnal isn't quite the right word, but Adachi in the original p4 was very much built as a narrative and thematic device first and a character second, imo, until golden came along and started fleshing him out more. He was meant to be a dark contrast to Yu and be a competent twist on who the murderer was, which are both good ideas to make your villain around, but that was as far as it went. For that matter, while I don't disagree Adachi was always a pretty realistic character, I don't think it necessarily invalidates the idea he was unidimensionnal. Real life has provided enough examples of real people acting like cartoonish villains over history.
Like... 7 years later I get this in my recommended The ending almost made me cry because if how wholesome it was to see Dojima giving Adachi a really warm greeting
i cried. the ending was just too good. this whole game gave adachi more depth to his personality. the connection between him, yu, amd dojima is just too good. the ending was just so perfect aaaa and the duo-izanagi is just to good to be true
Definitely what makes Adachi such a ... great negative figure in Persona is how mundane and flexible they made his character. He is not grandiose, he isn't omniscient nor a complete mastermind. Most of his successful attempts on manipulating people comes from doing batman gambling rather than ACTUALLY foreseeing and anticipating how things will play out. He isn't even a cronic liar, he doesn't try to bullshit his way out of trouble and the few times he did he sucked at it. He simply is flawed and misguided. His reasonings and justifications behind his philosophy and ideals come simply from his personal experience being projected as a "general fact" and he firmly believed it. And the surprising fact is that he MAY have a point, not that in believing that people suck or that gifted people have less problems than "normal" people is right (cus, really, it's a very shallow way to see life) but that, even if these beliefs are ridiculous, they are also VERY common. And it's easy for people to fall into this. His ideals and beliefs aren't dangerous because they are true, but because they are common. Does he have some sort of justification? Yeah! But he isn't the only person ever that had shitty strict parents! His experience is NOT universal, and therefore, his conclusions aren't neither and WE know he is wrong. He was simply a foolish loser that gained power. But he isn't some kind of evil genius, he is simply /some dude/. An egocentric nobody. And that's why it makes sense he would become more of an Anti-Heroe in later installments than a real villain. Cus his thinking is not inherently villainic, he is simply flawed, and too egocentric to change his mind, despite being proven that he is wrong. He is stubborn, and that's a common quality in people. And because he is mundane, that's why he doesn't hold onto the resentment of not being able to reach his goal in p4. He knows he lost, and he won't keep pursuing a lost battle. Did he change his way? Nope, but he is smart enough to understand that he is the loser, so his only other option is to help the winners. He is bored, and knows that it's boring to keep pursuing his ideals, so he just sort of gives up and ends up becoming an ally more than anything. He is probably the most mundane character in Persona. He is just a bad guy and that's it. A bad guy that has killed people (or plotted their death) on purpose. But still not a devil nor non-human. It's the hard truth of a cold-killer and shitty living being still being... a human.
I’m pretty confident that Sho knew about Adachi as well, and even heard what he said before the Ameno-Sagiri fight. He was probably convinced by him that the world was a really terrible place, that everyone deep down is just like Ikutsuki, but they try hiding it with these “bonds”. He felt as though Adachi was the only one who understood him. But Adachi has grown since the case ended and has realized that what the Investigation Team told him was true. He’s different now. That’s why Sho feels so betrayed. He thought he might’ve had someone other than Minazuki that could relate to him. Sure, Sho was mainly using Adachi for his plan, but the fact he and Minazuki trusted him to the point of telling him most details of the plan just shows a lot. To clarify, I don’t think Minazuki sees him as anything but a tool. It’s Sho who’s getting upset here. Sure, Sho says he was just using him, but the anger I’m getting from him says something more.
Hi-No-Kagutsuchi? Well, that's an interesting concept. Way to tie the story back into Japanese mythology, Atlus. Although, I'm pretty sure Hi-No-Kagutsuchi was Izanagi's and Izanami's son, so this makes things a bit awkward. xD
TheLonelyGreninja (Formerly Grovyle) I've always loved that kind of character, and he had some good arguments to back up what he said, though i have conflict with calling him a sociopath, since he hates society, but was aiming to fulfill the wishes of humanity...
See this is why Adachi continues to be one of my favorite characters in the Persona series as a whole! Atlas did an amazing job of maintaining his character! He’s still that uber-pessimistic, yet calculated and cunning personality that we all know and love. I love how much of a smart ass he can be especially in the initial scenes with the detective! And then of course, despite being in jail for awhile, he hasn’t lost an ounce of his physical prowess. P4 Arena Ultimax has evolved Adachi into the ultimate anti-hero. In a way he’s the Vergil to Narukami’s Dante, where the “power” he seeks is through understanding the importance of bonds, where he gets a faint idea of it at the very end which was a really nice touch! 🙏
Ah Adachi you Redeemed yourself over the past year that you changed since the murders you are now the best Protagonist and the best Villain You finally understood the power of bonds and you've become stronger for it i hope we see some cameos from you in P5 ,now i just have to play the waiting game

Knowing Adachi, he would probably hate Akechi, seeing as Akechi didn’t do much *actual* policework instead he just murdered. Say what you want about Adachi, but he didn’t let himself be controlled by someone else (willingly)
Yeah, same, it's kinda disturbing. I'm just minding my own damn business, watching this video and then I'm thinking to myself, analysing his character and suddenly I say this to myself: "Well it isn't weird for him to be kinda surprised that Dojima came back even after he cut him out because he obviously didn't believe in bonds and friendships, so he probably doesn't understand how friendship works." And suddenly bam! And I'm all: "Hold up...I do not like this." because I don't believe in bonds and friendship, even though logically I know it exists and stuff. And it's kinda...uncomfortable? Cause this game's kinda shouting at me like: "( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) hey kid, pssst, do you wanna buy some...self-reflection?" And I go "Nah dude, I'm good" but the game goes: "I do not think you understand me. I said do yoU WANNA BUY SOME *SELF-REFLECTION* *( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)"*

+mrharvy100 you sir get a thumbs up.
+mrharvy100 take my like sir.
+mrharvy100 A side note: Adachi thinks that Minazuki did not cross the point of redemption (A.k.a killing people) like he did. He could escape at the end of the game, it was the PERFECT opportunity, but he choose to go back to prision. By his on choice.

From a Yu perspective, maybe he could've gone down the same road as Adachi, or the other way around.

Friso Laxod Kinda was his motivation for sowing chaos in P4, being stuck in the boonies even though you worked hard.
That was it actually. Adachi was shown to be someone that studied very hard to be a cop and also showed signs of intelligence through some parts of the game meaning that he had the talent to have a good position in the PD but instead he was sent to Inaba under a very low position.
in the art book it says adachi is actually really good at his job, he just chose to be an idiot in front of everyone

@Random Person Ryotabro Brojima

Zaire Ash-Shafii he’s a tsundere if you think about it
Adachi really didn't want any more people to die in similar ways to the TV murders. As that would complicate things for him further. Maybe he didn't do it, because then everyone would know, he had something to do with the case, but if he had actually cared for Nanako, he wouldn't let that happen.
As for Dojima: He is very kind, but also very naive. He always believes in the good in people's hearts and that's why he forgave Adachi and Namatame at the end...

if you have not played Person 4 to completion yet, you shouldn't even be here.

Im really glad they wrote him like this and didnt just copy paste the Adachi from P4 here.
Man, Dojima is a true Broske for visiting Adachi, even when his daughter was nearly killed by Adachi's little game he still treats Adachi like a friend.
I don't think Dojima fully understands the TV situation yet, but yeah.
TheHappy_P0tat0 Holy crap for some reason that makes totally sense
TheHappy_P0tat0 But this goes against everything Persona 4 stands for. Izanami says: "People don't care for the truth, it does no good. It's better to be ignorant." Yu and friends say "No, you're wrong. People do care about the truth. Ignorance is not bliss" Yu repels Izanami with the bonds he's made, and she backs off. Yet the masses stay ignorant, and nothing changes.
Adachi making puns and jokes...
oh god...
I know right
Nothing unusual with that. He often did those in the actual game.
Yang : did someone say *PUNS?*
Sans: Mind if I cut in?
Sans: man his puns are SANSational!!!!

There is a special place in hell for his parents for turning Adachi into a monster. I know Adachi willingly sent people into the TV World to die but if his parents had shown him even a shred of kindness, maybe he wouldn't have walked down the path he did.
"You know... I seriously hate this world. Don't put me in the same shoes as a half-ass brat like you !"
It took me a while to figure out why this sentence hit as right as it did.

It's the hard truth of a cold-killer and shitty living being still being... a human.
You know, adachi life from the past actually so sad
Adachi is a good guy despite the 2 murders, kinda... i guess... maybe not
+木村優 This comment made me lol
+キムラユ With Yamano maybe, but I'm pretty sure he knew what he was doing with Saki.
The first one was accidental while the second one is on purpose
He WAS. until fate says otherwise to Him. I just wished that Adachi got a change like Yu
He perfectly knew what he was doing after the first murder. Saki, Namatame and Mitsuo... all his planning
1:11:14 Omg that what Yukiko said to Adachi (I think it was her)
what?
Mr.jasonxstar "You think the whole world hates you just because someone didn't treat you right? You're nothing but a little kid throwing a tantrum"
Yaaas I'm so glad I'm not the only one who remembered this tidbit
salty nipple fwiend dude it was yukiko lol during the argument before his fight in p4 lol gotta love that reference if it is one
If I remember things correctly, it was Naoto who said it.
The most beautiful story of a villain
Im glad this is canon
Hi-No-Kagutsuchi? Well, that's an interesting concept. Way to tie the story back into Japanese mythology, Atlus. Although, I'm pretty sure Hi-No-Kagutsuchi was Izanagi's and Izanami's son, so this makes things a bit awkward. xD
has to fight two versions of his dad Izanagi and Magatsu-Izanagi
JJBrosGaming his light and dark fathers
+Shadow Coolguy lol😂😁
Imagine if Marie was in this.
@@whitejester
I fucking know, right? Especially if the fusion of the two Izanagis created Izanagi-no-Mikoto as a Persona.
Just a tsundere, that Adachi.
19:12
Adachi: You won’t hit me!
Also Adachi: *instantly gets hit*
1:11:46 I think Adachi truly learned his lesson since he's here, echoing the words said to him in P4 Vanilla.....
And preserved in Golden
1:29:34 Literally the best line Adachi ever said.
I came for Adachi, I stayed for Adachi.
Wow... I hated Adachi in Persona 4, but now, I have a new respect for him.
It makes you realize... he was just lonely. So lonely that he snapped.
For me it's kind of the opposite.
he was sociopathic, nearly killed everyone but got stopped.
TheLonelyGreninja (Formerly Grovyle) I've always loved that kind of character, and he had some good arguments to back up what he said, though i have conflict with calling him a sociopath, since he hates society, but was aiming to fulfill the wishes of humanity...
+nicosisX Much like "Jack the Ripper" Raiden, he's a sociopath hoping to atone for his sins.
Interesting Kagutsuchi called him a "Son of Man" that something a demon in SMT would say I guess all the demon are still around.
Izanami says the same thing except in plural form, I think it's just a god thing.
@Motoko Chan
Um no
See this is why Adachi continues to be one of my favorite characters in the Persona series as a whole!
Man now I want that image of Narukami, Adachi, Izanagi and Magatsu-Izanagi as a wallpaper!
Now you can...it's called a tablet with a crop feature. And it's free:)
Touché good sir
Man, who would have though his storyline would have such deep message and meaning all over .....
01:29:06 And that, my friends, is everything the fanbase needed: a final piece of evidence that the goofy Adachi wasn't all an act after all.
Ah Adachi you Redeemed yourself over the past year that you changed since the murders you are now the best Protagonist and the best Villain You finally understood the power of bonds and you've become stronger for it i hope we see some cameos from you in P5 ,now i just have to play the waiting game
It is funny how you can tell he still cares for Dojima, even if he doesn't care to admit it.
What I watched: This video
What I did: Got popcorn
What I expected: A whole bunch of awesome fight scenes and minor story with best boi
What I actually needed to get: Popcorn, tissue box, something to bite on when I got nervous.
What I got: A load of feels, charachter development and some sick ass savageness from best boi.
End result:
Sat down like I would in a movie theatre. There were tears, there were "HELL YES"es. There was strife. There were laughs, and most of all.
There are feelings for this trashbag in my heart.
What you did: Posted a huge, lame comment no one cares about.
What you should have done: Not posted this.
What you should do: Shut up.
Hotel: Trivago
Deus Gustavo you are lame and a kid, with a bad joke, in fact your joke is lamer than I thought at first because you had the necessity to write that you hate his joke when you could’ve ignored.
Hilarious.
@@frisolaxod3835 "you are lame and a kid", if that's your idea of an insult then you should at least try using your 3 braincells for once, and realize how childlike and ridiculous it sounds. Also, keep in mind how big of a hypocrite you are by going out of your way to write that you hate my comment when you could have ignored it.
Hilarious.
Deus Gustavo repeating other’s comments in your favor isn’t fun, eh, I will ignore you, I won’t get anywhere anyways
@@frisolaxod3835 Yeah, ignore people you provoke as soon as it gets inconvenient for you. Typical spineless loser that had nothing useful to say in the first place.
Hilarious.
And the prize for (in my opinion) the Best Video Game Villain Ever goooooooes to.... ADACHI!
Now that’s how you write a villain arc
Glad to see Adachi thinks highly of Dojima still.
Dojima believes in his murderer friend (?) and Adachi secretly respects him and its weirdly wholsome
👏let👏adachi👏beat👏up👏akechi👏in👏persona👏5👏arena👏
Preach
Knowing Adachi, he would probably hate Akechi, seeing as Akechi didn’t do much *actual* policework instead he just murdered. Say what you want about Adachi, but he didn’t let himself be controlled by someone else (willingly)
I
Want that now
Persona 5 Akechi or Persona 5 Royal Akechi? Cause I’ll gladly accept p5 he deserves it but not p5r.
NyxTarnisq if it’s p5r I’d want akechi to beat up Adachi honestly, cuz p5r akechi is a much better person by the end then Adachi.
OHMYGOD THE ENDING MADE ME CRY ;;-;;
8:36 *cough* Persona 5 *cough*
Be warned, Adachi. Next time Dojima visits you, he's gonna bring you a cheap cabbage.
I relate to adachi more than any of the "main" characters
Yeah, same, it's kinda disturbing. I'm just minding my own damn business, watching this video and then I'm thinking to myself, analysing his character and suddenly I say this to myself: "Well it isn't weird for him to be kinda surprised that Dojima came back even after he cut him out because he obviously didn't believe in bonds and friendships, so he probably doesn't understand how friendship works."
And suddenly bam!
I said do yoU WANNA BUY
SOME
*SELF-REFLECTION*
*( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)"*
And this is why I love Adachi as a character so much. My most favourite Persona character.
I forgot how enjoyable Adachi was, plus hes also sassy at times, I’m guessing that sassy is part of the edgelord style
