Engine and Performance:
The Vitpilen 250 features a 248.8cc Euro5+ single-cylinder engine, which is A2 compliant.
It delivers a claimed 28.3 bhp at 8500 rpm.
The engine’s character is akin to that of a small enduro bike, with a lively response at higher revs.
However, it can be a bit jerky below 6000 rpm.
The capacity increase from 249cc to nearly 249cc helps it meet stringent emissions regulations.
Riding Position and Ergonomics:
In contrast to the previous model, which had a more extreme café racer stance, the 2024 Vitpilen 250 has been refined.
The seat height now stands at a more accessible 820mm (previously 835mm).
The handlebars are flat, similar to those on the Svartpilen 250, but with a different bend.
This stance strikes a balance between sportiness and comfort, although some taller riders might find it physically smaller.
Weather Performance:
During testing in British-like conditions (rain, low temperatures, and hailstones), the Vitpilen 250 revealed its strengths and weaknesses.
