I am driving a 3 cylinder xcent CRDI diesel for the past 9 years. Its very good. Fuel efficient. Good pickup. Clocked nearly 1 L 40K kms. Pl note i am driving veh for the past 40 years. I am professionally qualified.
Yes.. Side stories too are informative.. Keep adding them.. Also, a white screen instead of that police station wall can help to show pics and VDO clippings where ever required..
Table in middle vetcha better ah irukkum plz consider..
I think you must start using powerpoint slides which can give structure and discipline
1.Indicate topics
2.go one by one
3.add pictures- explain using a highlighter
4.illustrate with examples
5.move to next point
6. Repeat above steps
7. Recap
8. Final summary of takeaways
The sign of deep knowledge and expertise lies in SIMPLIFICATION and make others understand easily
You are doing gr8 work but definitely you must move to next orbit ONLY THROUGH SIMPLIFICATION, DEEP FOCUS, use of pictures with explanations ( audience should know what to see in the photo)
Keep going . But MUST IMPROVE👍
Was expecting someone to speak about 3 cylinder engines for a long time. Finally you did ❤
Romba nerama wait pannite iruntha. Thanks for this week motocast
Bro below the MW logo place #DRIVE RESPONSIBLE

It will be attractive and it will impact many people watching.
nice idea bro🔥👏
I notice they have added your request in the next podcast "Is Global NCAP Scamming People?"

Good one. I have one 3-cylinder and one 4-cylinder car. However, both are doing their job perfectly. 😄
Asir bro is strong in his basics.. probably he did his enginnering course passionately. In my consulting call for buyijg decision between nexon and other brezza urban cruiser etc. options... He told me about 3 cylinder and turbo.. i drive B2b from ashok nagar to guindy. He confidently suggested brezza.. weight torq ratio concept. Exactly one year now am using brezza AT. I really feel the advantage i gained by his words.. now everyone knows chennai roads .. still i am driving without that much strain in feet
Three cylinder is a complicated engineering, so in terms of reliability there many reasons to go wrong, thats why brezza when its weight was increased they cleverly placed the 1.5 there
Asir bro reminds me of my school principal. He starts with one topic, but covers entire ecosystem around the topic. As a student we used to listen to his classes with curiosity for his way of teaching !!
Asir knows so much information that he wants to share with all. Pls continue, and it is not overwhelming at all 👍
What a great content 👏 you explain like professor, mechanical engineering students can definitely watch this to understand at great extend. Keep up the great work as usual.
City purpose - 3c with lower body weight to get efficiency ( tiago , celerio , Alto)
Highway - 3c with turbo ( kiger , Magnite, Nexon)
You are wrong
Thank you Motowagon for clearing the doubts regarding small turbo charged engines. This information is very useful

மிகத்தெளிவான காணொலி..
very clear explanation ,i can feel the turbo lag in slow speed in1.0 Tsi.
Your podcasts are getting more interesting day by day..
Way to go team MotoWagon🙏👌

Informative content. Thanks for detailing clearly. Great Job.
Super explaination sir ... Getting criticised for using DRAGON series engine.
Now I am Happy.
Last 2023 October I baught wagonr amt full option . My advisor is Asir (motowagon). For me it is a best choice because I am a senior citizen .Wagon r is a best vehicle. I got 24.7 km milage on highway and 18 to 19 in cty drive. Thank you Asir and thank you motowagon. Thankyou so much.

Neega en than 3 cylinder car uses pannurathu porathu reliability iruku sonnalum lot of issues coming bro rumble noise gear stick vibration, car vibration increases everyday my best recommendation 3 cylinder should be banded,
Ippatiku Altroz vangi pathikka patta Nermai ana motofam
Iam also having Tiago. Same issues
I bought beat in 2012 and sold it in 2015 for the exact reason pointed out by you “ the inefficiency in climbing hills when fully loaded. When fully loaded if you stop on a steep road and try to take it forward, it wont move a bit whatever you do and the engine will come to an halt. I faced this issue in almost all the hill drives and I had to take that hard decision of selling it and bought a dzire in 2015 and it’s still with me and now adding a brezza to the family which will come in couple of days.
Nermaiyana motofam ❤️✨ Hansen bro vidunga feel pannatheenga 😂😂🙌🏻
Hi MW, neenga solradhu crct. I20 nline city traffic la lag aagudhu, but soptrs mode la lag illa. Highways la riding comfort and performance super ah irukum, city mileage 8-9kmpl, over 80 km speed 10-13kmpl mileage dha. 80 or below 80km speed we got 16kmpl mileage on i20 nline N8.
Same way we use Ritz diesel manual, best car for city driving and bumper to bumper traffic. Ecosport diesel manual um city driving ku super ah iruku. 1.2NA petrol engine in maruti cars also good for city driving as you said like labouring cocept.
3 cylinder engines topic ippo romba useful content. Nice video MW 👏👏👏👏
So informative and super content. Pls carry on the good work 👍
A right video at the right moment. Nermayaana Motofam,😊
Very exhaustive and informative!
Excellent Discussion Asir bro..Kudos to the team..Keep up the good work.!!
Thanks bro for professional/ technical analysis 👍🙏
Ah...What a technical analysis...Sir! Absolutely Awesome!
As a celerio user ,i can confirm that the cylinder engine is way refined..but only thing is the build quality and squishy soft suspension...

Very professional content. Please continue the good work 🙏👍
Thanks for the video...this kind of video is important for car buyers. Many of them looking for sunroof..but they don't understand mechanical perspective information... Good one. Keep it up.🎉
அருமையான கலந்தாய்வு 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
So nxt podcast la perriya matter erruku.#nermayanamotofan❤️😅
This podcast clarifies so many things in my buying decision of 3 Cylinder (Turbo) Engines. Good Job. Also do a podcast on 4 Cylinder Turbo Engines
I can proof ... skoda kushaq 1L manual
Drove=23 kmpl (mileage)
From thirunalveli to pattukottai total 300 km
Night drive free road ,
70 to 80 km stable below 2000 rpm
Arai mentioned mileage 17 kmpl
Don't shock everyone
..it's really happened so many time
any engine driven smoothly will return the best mileage for that engine, but the point here is the 1.0 tsi was never meant to be driven sedative in the first place.
70 to 80 without ac and putting always in neutral u get 28 to 30 in all cars but Skoda vangitu 70 ottadhuku autola pogalam
Useful explanation 👌
Very very useful information Motowagon team ❤️. Detailed information 😀
Another important point you have missed is the difference between diesel and petrol turbo. The main reason for diesel turbo is to increase the efficiency of the motor by helping it to achieve good air fuel mixture but the main focus in turbo petrol is to achieve more power output. Hence power output is substantially increased in turbo petrol unlike turbo diesel
Insightful Motocast!😍 But I think when talking regarding Fuel Efficiency, it’s necessary to talk about Emission norms ‘Bharat Stages’ awhich is also a MAJOR factor of impact I believe. Am I correct or no #Asir bro? Pls throw some light…! #NermaiyaanaMotofam #Anson #Dani
I have basic idea about 3 cyc. super clearly explained everything asir we already have a small fight on ignis.😂 before a year about the looks. Anyway nice podcast after alongtime ,been watching for so many years forget to subscribed because of the neramayana motofam........your podcast is a boost for us .Really needed these type of contents,4th car going to take still have a confusion, ,In this podcast you have cleared everything. The way you are explaining is easy for us to understand and able to relate. Thanks a lot for your team ....😂🤩
Very informative video....thanks
Clear engineering explain
Thanks of all
At last, Reliability depends on usage even German cars use 3 Cylinders but still Tata cars need more refinements
i did a bit research and there's this thing. if you put ngk 's iridium sparkk plug instead of oem plugs, the engine feels more refined. idle vibrations are gone, efficiency improved. also with bs6 phase 2, tata 's refinement is better now. i think ashir bro said that in his new tigor video
Coming to three cylinders, Yesteryear three pots from Suzuki were three cylinder with units, Suzukis three pots were generally low powered engines and they are enough to power the car which they are intend to pull. Now the three pots in the latest version of cars are pushed to max, even a NA punch is 90PS. And for GDI three pots its a complicated fuel injection process, at the end of the day Engineering matters, the more you stress the three pots the more reliability or stress might occur. Bottomline is best engineered three pot NA or Turbo will last long, Asir bro said its all about engineering and power to weight ratio. in a simple fact in a three cylinder there are lot of parts to fail if not engineered properly. the common news is turbo failure or valvetrain failure.
Really great content, well explaind, keep doing.
Enaku oru periya doubt. Petrol engines smooth an irundhalum , high revs la mileage drop adhigama iruku. So fast ah drive panradhu nala naa prefer panradhu turbo diesel engines. But daily 50kms drive panra alavuku need enaku illa. Cold start issue ah heater element use pani solve panitanga. Tank and other fuel lines la stagnant ah iruka diesel nala problem varama irukka market la fuel additives um iruku. So idhellam nambi turbo diesel vangalama. Maintenance cost, less usage nala increase aaguma.. ila diesel engines um petrol maari trouble free aidicha?...
Very good question.. waiting for MW response
Yes diesel has become trouble free these days, we own a 1.4 lac odo 1.6tdi from skoda, Now you can use your diesel like how you use your petrol, the only concern as of now is the only issue Diesel particulate filter, sometimes you need to rev the engine in high revs to push out the soot collected in the DPF.
@@Raveendhana that sounds nice. Thanks for sharing ✌🏻
Good explanation on usage of 3 cylinder.
Btw...how is citreon 3 cylinder for C3 aircross?
Fantastic content bro. Nice explanations. Keep it up bro. As you said, Tata going to introduce new 3 cylinder turbo charger engine. Is it reliable?
it takes few years then only can tell about it 's reliability.....
since the new 3cylinder built as turbo, so it maybe reliable
It was a "fumble jumble " discussion. Informative!!. Nett result was an "avial"😇😇😇
Most wanted episode for current scenario.
Very informative.
Great, keep up the good work sir. You inputs on 3 vs 4 cylinders are very informative. I have just one question on diesel engine. Is it advisable to go for 4 cylinder diesel Tata Nexon if the daily usage is very less (May be I'll take vehicle only one or two times a week)? If yes, would there be issue related to pump, injectors and engine after 2 or 3 years due to less usage? Initially, I was planning to go for a Mini SUV (Sub 4 meter) Petrol NA 4 cylinder Engine but because of built quality I have no option other than Nexon facelift Diesel at the moment. But worried about the above said issues due to less usage. Your inputs will be very helpful. Thanks much and I really appreciate your efforts. 👌👌👌👏👏👏
Which car u decided to buy?
Professor Asir...excellent explanation ❤
SIR , I require your advice. Is it possible to fix ADAS in my JAZZ CVT . IF so pl give details.
Tharamana podcast...❤
Asir anna camera paathu pesunga please. Setup ok but yaro pesarutha doorathila irunthu kekkura mathiri irukku
Hi Motowagon,
Please do a content on explaining all the engine technologies currently operating in Indian market. Like i-Vtec, i-Dtech, GDI and also different type of engine cycles (atkinson, frankel etc).
This style of podcast is nice. #NermaiyaanaMotofam
Thank you
They did it already bro.. watch their older podcasts
nice topic 🔥
3 cylinder good explanation bro....💥
Thanks for sharing the video! Motowagon. One doubt here, when you said three cylinder vehicles are suitable for highway usage and you were also mentioning compact cars like alto, celerio and beat have the same three cylinders which most of us purchased mainly for city driving. So how does that highway usage will be applicable to these cars?
Your discussions were soo interesting 🎉
Excellent coverage
Please discuss about 10% ,20% ethanol mixed ,compatibility in available cars.
Have sub discussions, useful
4 days city drive, 3 days out of city High way drive more than 100 kms is my usage ... I booked Renault Kiger manual NA. Is it good decision or suggest me the best option #motowagon team
Asir sir..how adequate is the 3 cylinder engine for tigor for city drives if you consider the car s weight?
Really interested and informative
Yenna aanalum 4 cylinder tan 👍👍👍
Recently, I purchased the VW Taigun Highline MT, which is a 1000 cc turbo variant with three cylinders. Considering my daily usage of around 20 to 25 km in Chennai's city traffic, was this a good choice? Please reply to my comments.
I agree with you sir am using Altroz XZ petrol which has some Engine noise inside cabin but once in highways it rocks even though some cons am facing with 3 cylinder 😊
Just try Honda or maruti refined 4 cylinder, then you will find the difference
Look forward to your review of Honda Elevate. Will it be happening?
Hi Bro, what do you feel about Tata punch pure variant compared to nexon. Because punch also have 3 cylinder 1.2 L revetron NA engine without turbo. Is it good for city or highway?
Kiger CVT city usage kku best ah bro...?
Don’t worry about getting distracted from topic.. podcasting as a concept is to go with the flow and have long sessions which would enable you to be at the topic in-spite of going with the flow.
I expected you to talk about TNGA 1.5, 3 cylinder engine for Hyruder hybrid. May be I missed? It's too long of a video for me. Bit distracted in the middle. But thanks for the information.
Good explanation and good experience
Sonet IMT petrol gave up to 18.1 km on the highway, 15 km on the rural areas
Very informative video. But i guess you missed talking about the Citroen C3.
Nicely explained..

Sir Kinley discuss vw virtus cylinder deactivation technology
As usual annoying DANI interrupting almost all the topic switching over to many open topic, He is not confident about asking or finishing his sentence his voices goes from 10 to 2 like volume controller. I've huge respect with Asif Sir he is such a brilliant creator. Hope you build your team stronger with much confience.
Asir....Bro ...you are Automotive Encyclopaedia 😊😊
Now I can add some comments on celirio automatic 2015 model about what stalls and jerk matter. When the climate is cool and engine is not super hot the stalls and jerk don’t arise. I have some doubts about electro mechanical gear shifter. When this shifter box became very hot this problem may arises or because of hot injectior may have lean petrol injection and that causes stalling. How can we rectify this problem.any idea?
Ayya channel description update pannunga 🙏🏽
Nermaiyana motofam request 😅
sonnet 3 cylinder is smooth but the vibration can be felt in the seat back rest.
Nice one
What about 1.0TSi State highways usage???
1.2 kappa is less BHP, lower mileage with lighter body compared to 1.2 revertron which is more powerful more mileage carrying heavy build.
Suggestions - whole video you were saying it depends on application. You should have given example like wagon r suits for city use not highway
Good info bro
And small update I think Suzuki introduced the 2 cylinder engine in 2014/15 but 1.5 ltr 4cylinder 225 DDIS came only by 2019 Feb or March and they stopped immediately as they completely moved to petrol only models
Btw saw that old video as well
It was a bit noisy but way better refined than 1.3 multijet engines
Let's discuss the remarkable engineering marvel of the Volkswagen 1.5TSI 4-cylinder's cut-off feature. This feature deactivates two cylinders, even when cruising around 120. Meaning the engine is not stressed at all.
4 cylinder engine இல் உள்ள firing orde 1, 3, 4, 2 ஆகும், ஒரே சமயத்தில 1 clynder தான் fire ஆகும். 3 clynder இலும் அப்படித்தான்.
Bro old layout liyae video edunga.
Can you please make videos for people looking to buy used cars. For example videos on Elite i20, 2nd gen i20, old swift etc.
