Benin City is the capital of Edo state and a very large empire in the olden days that cut across West Africa and has had a great history. Today I am taking you along as I explore the city from one end to another.

Bigwillz sending my condolences to your family!! Three places I remembered during my visit to Benin city when I competed at the 1988 Ogbe Hard Court tennis Championship were Ring Road, Ogbe Stadium and the place we stayed opposite Benoni Hospital.

That place needs a better public transport. Our jeep here in the Philippines would be perfect there. It can fit in more passengers than the van you are using there.

What’s wrong with Africa. Nigeria produces too much hydrocarbons to still have bad roads like this. Terrible public infrastructure but I guess we can’t abandon our homeland due to clueless leaders who in effect are a reflection of their populace.

That vehicle is not roadworthy!!! It is very unsafe and should never have been allowed on the road. Is that how BC is?
You are right, vehicles like that shouldn't be on the road. That's Benin for you and by extension that's Nigeria for you.

I feel so sad to see my state capital look so dilapidated. Can you now see why people glorify what is considered a normal infrastructure in other climes when people like akwa ibom and ebonyi state govs do some work in their states?? Shame to all the criminals in my state.
