I'am impressed you liked it too, well to this song is connected Lividi Sui Gomiti from same album the last, also a hard rock rap, it looks like Damiano is pushing out his frustration about the haters made them life very hard from the beginning...💐🎸🎼

A lot of Maneskin's songs have a deep meening....this song with Zitti e buoni and Lividi sui gomiti are for all the people who didn't belive in their music and in their talent!!! They gave a very good answer to them!!!

    Good job!

There is a passage that more or less goes, "People who don't know what it means to be an artist, all the things I have lost and renounced to in the process; who are only waiting for me to make a mistake, a faux pas, and I often wonder whether I have just been lucky so far". Well, I'm not an artist but can relate: the same is true whenever you really want to do something and make it work, be it your career or your academic aspirations. Very few people will support you genuinely, I mean without any vested interests. And even some of these alleged supporters will eventually turn against you precisely when your own success forces them to admit that you made it and they didn't.

I like it so much...as all the Maneskin Songs 😁 the text Is this:
I tried to get rid of that unwanted feeling
And I've failed a thousand times but I've tried
I put weights on my back and then I fell
I lost a nosebleed and got up
But at twenty I already wonder if I'm too tired
If what I need is what I wanted
If one day I can really be realized
    And I'm scared
And you stay an inch from my ass, you dickhead
I have always chosen to be one and only one
Touch the sky and go back to eating the asphalt
Sometimes I cried, but that's not what stops me
    I want my ransom
You stay an inch from my ass, you dickhead
I have chosen to be one and only one
Touch the sky and go back to eating asphalt
In the name of the father, son and holy spirit
    Ha, ha, ha, hey
In the name of the father, of the son, holy spirit
    Ha, ha, ha, hey
In the name of the father, of the son, holy spirit
    Ha, ha, ha, hey
Name of father, son, holy spirit
    Ha, ha, ha, hey
Name of father, son, holy spirit
Hey, make room, do a lot of it
That the world is not enough for me now, the stage is not enough for me
They called me in every way, even a coward
I have died more than a hundred times, never died in vain
You tell me you're hiding, what's in your palm?
Why do you call me crazy after you look at me?
If you think that I have changed, that I am another
You didn't fucking understand anything, so what the fuck are you looking at me?
You stay an inch from my ass, I'll tell you again
I have chosen to look further ahead than what I see
I do not forget my past, I do not deny it
Hit hard, anyway I don't fall, I remain standing
You stay an inch from my ass, you dickhead
I have chosen to be one and only one
Touch the sky and go back to eating asphalt
In the name of the father, son and holy spirit
    Ha, ha, ha, hey
Name of father, son, holy spirit
    Ha, ha, ha, hey
Name of father, son, holy spirit
    Ha, ha, ha, hey
Name of father, son, holy spirit
    Ha, ha, ha, hey
Name of father, son, holy spirit
Hey, for what I've lived, the time I've wasted
You thought I was dead and then I was born again
What to do the artist have they ever talked to you about?
Of all that I have lost, that I have sacrificed
To have no voice, to be out of breath
To have a thousand people waiting for your mistake
Knowing that every misstep will be condemned
I often wonder if I was just lucky
And the motion of my anger does not pass me
I hope my past takes the paper away
He's crazy, this is crazy, ask why I do this
In the name of the father, of the son, holy spirit

He’s saying that after failing so many times he was able to touch the sky but had to go back to eating asphalt (sh*t) but that he’ll take it all in and keep going and telling his haters who are just waiting around to see him fail again and to judge him to go *uck themselves.

As the Maneskin are truly unique and original, I would like to sign a petition to make them go to the Eurovision Song contest in 2022, in my opinion Italy would win for the second consecutive year. please listen to the song Leon or Alone or Medicine, thank you very much 😁👍🏻 you not regret it

Linkin Park is the most obvious connection for the 30 somethings (or rock beginners) - sorry Rachael you are just too young (not your fault)....but an even closer match are Rage Against The Machine who started this Metal+Rap a decade earlier than Linkin Park. There is also a hint of Bauhaus in the lyrics taken clearly from Stigmata Martyr - a truly scary goth anthem.
Maneskin are a kind of encyclopaedia of Rock music - so many are starting to listen and liking all kind of rock and dig into more bands and artists from the past. Paradoxically, I've starting to enjoy more their less-rock songs like "L'Altra Dimensione" and "Torna A Casa".

    • @ThePeaceAround

Hi Stefano, yes unfortunately I am way to young to have known the impact of Rage Against the Machine but I do know some of there songs. The connection to In Nome Del Padre is strong and looking back I can see the influence! I remember is 2009, the British public got Killing In The Name to number 1 in the charts to prevent Simon Cowell’s X Factor Winner from getting the Christmas number 1 that year! Iconic :)

Dearest Rachel, I give you some advice, in the same live session you published (in the name of the father) there is an amazing version of For Your Love, where Damiano's voice is the protagonist of two vocal peaks of absolute quality
    ruclips.net/video/ZAdUXIyjmkw/видео.html
    ((this is the link)
. in this last reaction of yours the subtitles in English and Italian are not yet present, you could insert them as you did for the latest maneskin videos ?
(they are very useful for me who do not have command of the English language, thanks
Ps.( I highly recommend that you use the videos of the festival concert in Belgium (Ronquieres) for your live Maneskin reactions.
you will realize the incredible charge that the boys cause in the public ... and their incredible talent ... the performances are like those on record, indeed, they are longer (the long version of in the name of the father is enthralling ...) , plus there are amazing covers by Kiwi (Harry Styles), where Damiano's voice is perfect .. Bury as friend By Billie Eilish, and a beautiful mash up of Take me out (F; Ferdinand and Somebody told me .. Hello sweet Rachel, thank you for your reaction and for your insight as a musician. This is not a realigius song so there is no blasphemy in saying "in name of the father, the son and the holy spirit". that here is used like the word "amen" to close a sentence. They are totally involved with their music that it's become their religion, it's sacred to them. The song is about the struggles they've been going through trying to achieve success and the dialogue is with those who along the way criticized their career choices and tried to put them down and was later lurking on them waiting for any mistake, one false move so they could bragabout their failure. It's a song of fight but also one of pride, very passionate, if you haven't guessed I love it very much. I didn't at first but since the second listening I started to like it more and more and now is my favourite of the album because sincere and the rythm is addicting, the guitar solo in the last part is amazing. :D

@@guidoferri8683 It's not debatable because the band has stated that since the very first interview that is not a religious song that it is referred to their music that for them is almost sacred having become such an important part of their life. Even without their statement it's clear, the sentence "nel nome del padre del figlio e dello spirito santo" in the song is used like an amen, a closure to a sentence. There's plenty of misuse in the Italian language of the word "amen", most of the times used to close a sentence and with no religious meaning at all. The same is for this song.

@@Barbara_M. I am of the same opinion about the song, but I think not even the artists can definitively decide what you personally read in a song and if you feel offended by it.

@@guidoferri8683 I didn't tell her not to be offended I explained that the song is not blaspheme and why, she is an intelligent girl I am pretty sure she can discern. 🙂

Not my favourite song. More into their funky glam side. But I recognize this can be a generational manifesto

Mi sa che tu sei a un livello intellettuale trooooppo elevato che mal si adatta alle canzoncine rock di ieri oggi e domani, concentrati su Leopardi, Quasimodo, Omero
