Honestly, what’s BMW excuse for using the new twin turbo V8? The N/A V8 probably weigh about the same, but a lot less complicated, same fuel fuel consumption. Look at Porsche and how well they’re doing with an N/A boxer 6
I know right? Perhaps something to do with class rules maybe they have to run a current engine? This P65 sounds fantastic and yes will weigh less than one with turbo components! Porsche's current flat 6 is amazing and will also have better engine balance and lower centre of gravity vs a bigger V8. I think this V8 sounds far superior to the M6 engine
wrighty338 it’s probably harder to push out 600hp for an endurance race would be my guess (GT3 wise. The Bentley, Mercedes, Lamborghini and GTR makes roughly 600hp after all. Only the Aston and Porsche makes 500hp, but they are still very competitive. ),but this engine works great for GTE, since everyone have only 500hp
Imagine being a kid and discovering this car for the first time through this video. What an amazing machine. Thanks for the video.
The absolute best sounding GT3 car ever ❤️❤️❤️
You should consider your opinion After you heard the morgan aero 8 gt3-car from (i think) 2009
Love that transmission! Solid motor as well. Car sounds so raw!
2:32 BMW M3 GTR Would be proud
The last real GT3....
One of the best sounding racecar !
Daaaaamn sounds insaaane 😍🔥
Every time someone uploads a Z4 GT3 video I'm reminded that: This is exactly how sports cars should sound!
Holy shit this car is 10 years old! Time sure goes fast!
2:04 nice bend
One of my favorite bmw gt cars
still one of the most beautiful and impressive GT3 cars to be ever created. shame they never went along with making a M-spec E89 Z4 from the factory.
I miss when all of the BMW works teams were racing these everywhere. The current M6 doesn’t have the same appeal.

I agree with you sir. I wish BMW would still use N/A engines.

That engine should be the standard Z4M engine
Is this car’s engine based on legendary m3 gtr ?
Eargasm ❤️❤️❤️
4:14 what happened here? smacked into the rev limiter at 120mph for seemingly no reason
What engine number is this? Or is it a race motor only?

Hi
There is NO WAY it weighs 1.9 kg

The car weighs 1190kg
Sounds mean
*Keep in mind the first Z4 was designed by women.*
how on earth does the engine way 1.19 kg. impossible
The car weighs 1190kg... not the engine
