I watched this 50 times bc no one else on RUclips did it better. What I'm gonna do is use afro bulk directly on my wig and perhaps also sew in some locs. I will probably do 50% more locs on the wig , keeping most of the top loose. Absolutely stunning. And I'm gonna use perfect line swiss for the grid lines.

Update- so I bought a body wave wig and I hated the texture. I put the locs in it but my texlax hair does not match it without heat. So I bought a v part kinky straight wig and use my big crimper on it and I love love love it. My leave out is a perfect match with kinky straight. I do sew the v part down since it is a little more heavy than usual. I freaking LOVE braids but I hate sleeping on them at my big age. So all of my summer styles are going to be blends of loose kinky straight hair mixed with locs or braids. I'm so proud of myself lol! But I watched this particular video about 10 times. I call it the Teyana Taylor locs.

If I loc the actual wig and not add hair/locs… will the hairstyle look too thin?? Like take pieces of the wig itself opposed to adding pieces… ehhh hope that makes sense lol
I’d suggest a full lace wig (atleast it’ll look like an actual scalp) if you do it on a machine made wig the wefts or wig would look a thin or scattered
