Love your video and thank you for showing step by step as I'm new to this. I also wanted to share a little tip instead of using a bobbypin which I think is a great tool and why I did this instead... I ended up finding some bendable wire (like jewelry wire) and made a long loop and masked the bottom two ends together (just so your don't hurt yourself) and then masked tape the bottom to create a handle and voila you can use that to thread in the tube. It works wonders. Nice thing about it is you can always bend it in half and put it away and reuse it when the need arises and for any other projects. This should help with any threading of any wool.

Thank you for explaining each step so well, and for going slow. This is a great video.

Love the pattern - you could make it longer and make it wider by doing it again and starting with the next square in seqence, then stitch together with first one :)

This is great to watch but I wondered if you have a written pattern so once watch the video you don’t have to keep watching it to do this.

Unfortunately I don’t have a written pattern the vision for this was in my head the whole time so I just made a sketch of what I wanted once I knew how big I wanted it I divided each little group and I just went with the flow and stopped when I was happy with it. I appreciate your time to watch my video thank you ❤️

Yes, it would just come out a bit smaller but you can always attach pieces together if you want it bigger .

What size yarn did you use?
and how much of said yarn?
How big did the blanket end up being?
I'm new and have made a few hats and want to make a blanket for my 2 yo and soon to be newborn.

Hi there’ sorry for the late response, I used Bernat blanket yarn size 6 and lion brand faux fur yarn size 6 the lovey blanket finish size was 20inx17in.

If you didn't want/couldn't crochet the end, could you not do a regular cast off?

I'm trying to figure out why you didn't use the pegs straight across instead of starting with the 2nd from the left and going around the side on the right side. Does it make a difference?

Yes it does make a difference. The reason I went around was for me to achieve the basket wave pattern if I would’ve wrapped straight across I would’ve gotten e wrap in both sides instead of the basket wave pattern. I hope that make sense.
