- It's finally here! My 300g tank from Custom Aquariums has been delivered. In this video I show the unloading process and give some information about the tank, stand, and sump.

It's not until you have to move a fish tank that you discover just how many people there are with bad backs.
Unless its Acrylic..then everybody is Superman. I've moved my 240 by myself in the past. Lift one end up and put it on a chair...lift other end up and place on stand...soon,its up and ready.

Having just ordered the same size aquarium, they shipped it to me in 1 1888lb crate, stand and aqurium and all. We got it home, but holy heck would it have been easier if they could have shipped it as two packages!
Now all I need is to discover time travel so i can go back and help for pizza and beer

Tank looks great, but not sure I'd be comfortable with a sump that's multiple pieces (more opportunity for leaks) and one you can only see in from the top.

This tank with these options runs about $6k. You can see all of the pricing options on their website.
Whatever filter they came up with...remember to add a sack of polyfill aka Floss. Its still the best media out there and still better then floss sheets. All that crap about bio balls is malarkey. Any filter that is a sack of floss over 10 or 20 gallons of small lava rock is still the best.

My 135 fell over in the 89' Ca earth quake. Now I'm ready for 350 haha
I couldn't find the address on the about section. I recently moved a 265 g and it took 4 of us to move it. 6 would be way easier. I live on north the tip of WV so I am not sure I could be of much help but good luck. Those suction cups will save your fingertips.

Awesome tank and I really look forward to the set-up videos. It'll be great to see the umbee in there. What made you decide to go with the 24" width and 30" height? Wouldn't a 30" width work better for your umbee?
The way this room is set up, 30” deep would stick out too far. Otherwise I would love the 30 and 24 to be reversed

Man I would love to help you but I have to work that day you’re gonna love your sump I have the marine land 300 gallon deep dimension 6 feet long 3 feet wide 27 inches tall I had four people move this thing into my basement Waze about 450 pounds empty

Where is he going to put this tank? The water alone weighs 2,500 pounds, add in the weight of the tank and the stand, now you’re pushing close to or over 3,000 pounds. I hope it doesn’t collapse the floor.
It’s going against a wall and perpendicular to the joists. Those joists are relatively short (10 ft) and sit directly on a concrete slab foundation wall. Then I have reinforced the floor directly in front of the tank with two posts.

I’m not an expert on this but I believe that drilling the back is much safer.

I'd be able to help if it was Monday through Thursday but I work 12 hour shifts Fri-Sun so unless its being moved around 6pm I can't make it. It's a beautiful tank though can't wait to see what you will do with it
