Hi thank you, Very informative video, i like the spool knot. What do recommend, and how do you attach, your spoons to the Leader?. Do you not recommend Braid to Braid leaders?, and would the Braid Leader, still be the same length ?.
Nice video, I'm having trouble when spooling my reel, whenever I spool it it's uneven. More braid is gathering towards the bottom of the spool, and heard that the washers in the reel affect that but tried removing them and still had the problem where it would either gather on top or bottom. Any suggestions? Thank you!
I had a 3k Saltist and after 6 months the oscillation pawl had worn and gave a distinct “click” under load, I was not impressed!! (The Reel was rinsed, dried and oiled [when necessary]). The reel was replaced by Daiwa which I subsequently sold

ASFN - great job as always. However, I can only assume that Shimano is no longer a sponsor hence little to no show of their products, my question is will you guys consider a separate channel to showcase other products that do not sponsor ASFN, perhaps out of good faith?
Hi Darshur, we allow more than one supporter for the purpose of producing content, it depend if they want to be part of what we do. Our channel - as I'm sure you know - is not exclusive. I have been a DAIWA fan for the last 15 yrs but also use other product. As per the last 10 years we accommodated Penn, Shimano, Waft, Daiwa, Browning etc. ambassadors in our material.

A request if I may, please create an insert on maintenance of both Multipliers and Grinders, it doesn't have to be comprehensive but what is done before and after fishing to ensure longevity. Andre, please not you, we know how infamous you are regarding maintenance :D - Jk.

Planning on filling a BG 8000 with 30lb superthin braid... it might take a few minutes

not on the lighter setup, the way I made the knot makes it very secure - but on heavier tackle I do use 50m og mono first
Le Grand Mac I use a clove hitch with a double hitch one one way one the other safety. Doesn't slip.
