    Great video, those were some crazy runs at the beginning, sometime could you show how to tie the line to the spool of the reel?

      Shot! Yes...clips from last summer...about a month to go before our reels are screaming like that again

    Awesome stuff,learning some more in lockdown. I was sceptical to buy so far from home and I saw in the end you mentioned the shop I will be supporting for my tackle. That set my mind to ease. Tight lines

    Black valvet is also good I have it on all my reels

    • @zoolookfishing
      @zoolookfishing  4 года назад

      It throws nice but its very difficult to see your line and where the fish is around rocks especially at night. It very strong but not very abrasive! Great braid for the surf and long throws🤙🏻

    Hi Xander, I don't have the opportunity to fish the coast that often. I have multiplier reels SL50SH and the 20SH. Can you fish braid main line, or is mono preferred? If mono, which breaking strength and brand? Kob setup.

    We dont have much variety here in Namibia, so I usually go with the Berkley black valvet

    • @zoolookfishing
      @zoolookfishing  5 лет назад +1

      BV casts very well...not that abrasive to rocks but a good braid none the less...the one thing I don't like about BV is the colour, you battle to see the black, specially in the dark.

    Hi Xander I will be getting an Amia zero xh 4 piece and a Nasci 5000 I am thinking of the JDB DNA. For surf spinning would you say 15 or 20 pound? And what pound fluoro leader?

    • @zoolookfishing
      @zoolookfishing  4 месяца назад

      Hi, 15lb is perfect. Mono leader from like a 0.63mm to 0,75mm

    When comparing cobra braid and jdb which would you say is more thinner between the two types of braid

    • @zoolookfishing
      @zoolookfishing  5 лет назад

      Cobra might be slightly thinner. But i will choose jdb over and over every single time over cobra

      Oh and I must admit your channel has really got me hooked on this surf fishing thanks a lot! Got myself an adrenaline 14” surf killer recently and I’m learning how to cast it to find the sweet spot! Will line with the braid soon and let u know how it works out

      Hi,
      I would recommend fishing 30lb mainline braid going to a 80lb braided leader and that to a short 1m mono leader, then the trace. Watch my video on my kob trace/setup. That would be perfect there and thats how I fished in Namibia as well for kob

    i normaly jst go for 30lb boss whisper for eds and 50lb for non eds... ive noticed that a casting braid is thicker coz ive got a 50lb boss braid x4 thats the same as 30lb boss whisper x8

    • @zoolookfishing
      @zoolookfishing  5 лет назад

      Its different from brand to brand...usually a casting braid and 8× is thinner than a more robust 4× braid

    Is dit nodig om braid te vervang na n sekere tyd van gebruik

    • @zoolookfishing
      @zoolookfishing  4 года назад

      Noe na n sekere tyd nie, toets dit net van tyd tot tyd, dit hang af hoe baie n mens hengel maar braid hou baie lank...moenie worry as dit kleur verloor nie, dit affekteer glad nie die sterkte van die braid nie. So lank as wat die braid nie breek as jy knope maak nie is hy nog good to go!
