Hi gorgeous Sofia! 🥰 This is the vid I didn't know I needed! I've been increasingly interested in Chanel beauty (what can I say... I love a boujee brand lol!) 😬🤌 I don't own anything yet, so what I'm wishlisting is: - the illuminating fluid - fellow youtuber Hannah Louise Poston did an excellent job comparing it with my love, the CT HFF! 🥰😍 - THE NEW WATER TINT AHHH! - hydrating lipstick in Adrienne/Mademoiselle - cream bronzer - powder blush... brun roussi looks perfect - ombre premiere single shadows and the liners! You've sold them to me 🤤❤ - one of the ultra-tenues! - COCO balm in Boy.... Ok I shall stop now lol 😅 my wallet better get ready, it's gonna hurt! Loved seeing your collection. Lots of love! Sophie ❤ x
Yay I've been waiting for this video! I love that you're diving into Chanel! You should check out their Les Beiges summer 2022 collection! I just picked up the oversized bronzer and oversized kabuki brush!!
Really great and honest review !! The final look is beautiful. I agree about Chanel package, but I actually love their eyeshadows (sheer wash of color)
That Chanel LES BEIGES Sheer Healthy Glow Highlighting Fluid looks like a dupe for the old Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base. I stocked up on the Burberry when they discontinued their cosmetics line a few years ago. In fact, I stocked up on a WHOLE bunch of Burberry and now I see that they are making it again. I would love to see more Burberry on your channel. It is (or was) a beautiful line and they still make my holy grail lippy.
I feel like the Chanel quads are definitely hit or miss. Not unlike dior quints or TF quads. The last Chanel quad I got was the Mediterranean one earlier in spring. It’s gorgeous and works like it’s supposed to. Reviews are definitely key! The LE stuff, I usually have great luck with. And their powder highlighters. I don’t know if I’ve seen a bad one. And the “YO” eyeliners (ok, they’re yeaux, but my version is more fun).
It‘s nuts, I couldn’t agree more with your review!! Thank you for this video, I subscribed immediately :) My absolute, personal Chanel favs/recommendations from my collection are: -Chanel Eau de Teint Fresh Water Tint (I guess I need to go a shade deeper than Light this summer :D) -Chanel Joues Contraste Powder-Blush/Rouge in Quintessence + In Love -Chanel Le Crayon À Lèvres Lip Pencil in Nude Brun -Chanel Rouge Coco in Adrienne -Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss in Caramel (LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!) -Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue in Daring Red -Chanel Les Beiges Eyeshadow Palette in Medium -Chanel Les 4 Ombres in Tissé Rivoli -Chanel Les Beiges Powder in No.10 -Chanel Crème Belle Mine Ensoleillée Bronzer in 390 -Chanel Crayon Sourcils in Brun Naturel I am definitely a Chanel Girl, but also adore Dior (I SO recommend their Glow Stick in Rose!!) - I am still trying to find a Chanel Mascara that delivers results that I need and love. In case you guys have recommendations, please help me out :D
The skin tint looks so good! That’s the kind of foundation I like, so I’m definitely going to try that next! Chanel is the brand I definitely go to for their limited edition blushes. My guilty pleasure is collecting their le blushes hehe
Chanel’s philosophy is less is more. It’s a softer sophisticated look. It’s not designed to be highly pigmented and was designed to meet the needs of the classically mature woman. It’s not meant to compete with the highly pigmented offerings of the popular brands of today.
Yes you are right. I think that everybody has their own idea of what is luxury. Some people enjoy the less is more and some people enjoy the more is more😄
@@SofiaSeesBeauty Exactly! It'a all a matter of preference. I've worn Chanel for more than 40 years and it still is my constant go to. However, I also wear DIOR, Pat McGraph, Natasha Deanna, not a fan of most CT and other more pigmented brands to augment what I have and especially if I want a certain look. My preference will always be the understated elegance and the sophistication of Chanel especially now but there's always room for a little extra. BTW-the look you created is beautiful on you! Thanks for the content! Keep up the good work.
@@donnagholar9695 Thanks so much! I love hearing your perspective Donna! It’s also funny how our makeup preferences change overtime. I like wearing less foundation now and love the simplicity of the water fresh tint
So happy you got a chance to review more Chanel products! For the Water Fresh Tint I use three pumps and burst the bubbles with a very dense short hair brush and that would give me more coverage. I feel like this tint looks like the bueatifying filter on your phones camera, it gives you that little something. love that product! Now that they are releasing a new version of that product but with more coverage, I hope they don’t discontinue the current version.
I know I was wondering about that as well. I hope they keep the original version so that we have options and given that a lot of people like it the way it is
Hey Sofia, I completely agree with mascara description and problem, I'd love its eyeliner and range of colors and liquid lipstick you mentioned, also hydra beauty skin product
I’ve recently gotten into Chanel. Love the Ultra Le Teint foundation, need to try their eyeliners, don’t care for their eyeshadow quads (not enough color payoff for my preference), LOVE the Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue in shade sensual rose. Great video!
I’m so relieved to hear I’m not the only one who finds Chanel eye shadows dusty. Respectfully, of course, I like a few products from Chanel (I also like their eye liners), but could never get on with their eye shadows. Great video.
Finally someone who says something about the cheap Chanel packaging!! A lot of people love those quads, for me they’re just ok I only own clair obscure and i think that one is worth it but it has basic colors. But it’a the packaging that I really don’t like! I remember everyone complaining about the lightweight packaging on the Hermes blushes but honestly Chanel is worst when it comes to that imho. And I agree with with you on the waterproof eyeliners! I love them too ❤️ and I don’t really get the hype around their lipsticks either… I maybe the only one who doesn’t like them that much 😆
Where to start?! I love Chanel and I will not be shaken from that. I am so glad you featured the Les Beiges highlighter fluid. I have Sunkissed and it provides such a beautiful glow. I adore the No. 1 foundation and the Eau de Teint. Also in my list is Le Volume mascara, the stylo yeux eye liners, most of the blushes and the Rouge Coco Blooms.
Love this video! If you like the Les beiges foundation I think you will love the Number 1 de Chanel foundation. It’s super hydrating and I’ve found it to be slightly more luminous than the Les beiges.
@@SofiaSeesBeauty I have the water fresh tint, the Les beiges, the sublimage Le essence and the number 1 de Chanel. I love all four, but for the price I would choose the number 1 over the other three.
thank you so much for the review and info on water tint!! I have the water tint blush and when i use it on top of medium to full coverage foundations, they water down so it gets all weird... though it will work well with that water tint. chanel's skincares are good. love the sublimage lines.
Heya, just catching up on your channel! I have used Chanel for years and have developed quite a collection. My #1 product is the Le Lait cleansing milk! And then the Soleil bronzer and the blush sticks, all great for my mature skin, nice and emollient and easy to apply. I also love most of the skin care; they use high quality, plant-derived ingredients. What kind of brush do you use to apply the Brun Roussi blush? I don’t get on well with powder blush, but I went crazy this spring and got 3 LE powder blushes that seem not to pick up well on the brush?
Hi Janine! I need to try the cleansing milk that sounds so nice. For the blush, I am using the BK Beauty Powder Brush! I have a code SOFIA10 with them where you can save 10% if you want to check them out.
medium skin tone/early 30s: the water fresh tint, is light coverage imo. it covers a lot more than i expected. its really good for textured skin. its for those of us that like the french, skin like makeup look :) i have the canduer experience (all matte quad) and i love it!!! i dont like a ton of pigment or shiny, metallic eye shadow look. i like classic, feminine, neutral looks. some may call it basic or boring, i prefer "classic" or "timeless". the shadows are very pretty! which is what im going for. i want my face to be the main point, not the eyeshadow.
Yes, definitely. For those with a more effortless, understated and classic makeup aesthetic. I only wore eyeliner and mascara up to the age 32. I’ve branched out a bit with makeup and at 45 greatly appreciate brands like Chanel. (With the exception of some of their heavily fragranced products.)
So true Daria - everything is quite understated but can be built upon. For me I appreciate the lack of crazy "one dip of the brush & it's too much" type of pigmentation. 🦋
Do you know if their makeup products ever go on sale? 😅 I haven’t purchased from their website yet, but I’ve noticed their products are always excluded from Ulta coupons.
