Looks good, So where does the water go when it enters the vent? Is there a drain? Also I think is the clear coat is thick enough you might be able to sand down and get rid of some of the waviness if its just in the center.
The water drains through the hood into the factory drain hole in the front bumper. No issues so far. Had the hood one step paint corrected for the swirls. The waviness is the physical mold of the hood has imperfections under the clear coat so sadly no fix for that.
@@ProjectZGarage Porsche will be more refined and under the radar. Scalpel if you will. Z06 is more raw and aggressive, will turn more head but more of a hammer compared to a Porsche. It drains down and out the factory drain hole. The gap for the factory hood drains through two small holes. this channels the water from the center of the hood into those holes.
That looks amazing. I think I personally would prefer it painted to match, but this looks good. You definitely need the CF on the splitter. I wouldn't be worried about the imperfections. When I looked at some C8's in person, I saw a lot of glaring imperfections in the factory finish as well. Lol, these imperfections will make it look like it came with the car and wasn't a perfect aftermarket bolt on! =]
thanks for the honest review. Many over charge for a hood and take the enjoyment away, but at that price not bad. Did you get a chance to drive the E-ray? One thing that beats sound is TQ and the E-ray has tons of it. Mine is still sitting at 3000 status. I dont know wtf GM is doing over there. 😪😪
the eray roll out has been abysmal. I did drive the eray and it is a fantastic machine. The steering is a bit weird and you can tell the diff is "e" and not solid. The TQ steer is felt when you mash it but in a good way. Great car all around.
@@JumpSquadAuto agreed. I have been on list for way over 3 years knowing this was the car I wanted. GM fu'bard it since it came out. Broke their own starting price and has been raping everyone they can. Slow roll out for a year and even now they dont make as many and there has been people on lists waiting. I literally got called when they stop making the yellow. So I could not order the old or new yellow. Other options I could go without but not the main color. So now I lost more time and got a $2K price increase for it.. lol talk about crap timing.
@@joem7755 That stinks. Ive been hit with that on every Corvette one way or the other so feel your pain. The new yellow is worth it tho. Looks awesome. @@Azuluza-z9s Just be mindful the quality is not perfect. Looks great from 15 feet away but it definitely is wavy in that middle section. Definite deal breaker for many.
