Pantry Challenge Update

- We are pretty much through the beef and poultry sections of the freezer, but we need to work on the pork section next. I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel I am grateful to have done this pantry challenge for sure.

That was something I always taught my children. They did not have to clear their plate at mealtime. But they needed to save any meat leftovers. Because if a animal gave their life for us, we needed to respect them and not waist that sacrifice.No waisting meat.
Im Middle Eastern and those fave beans are common there. The way you make them is cut them up and cook in olive oil till tender. Then at the end put in fresh garlic and cilantro. So yummy

In Romania we make Tongue stew with olives, and also cold sandwiches, like a pastrami kind ones, and we keep the tongue soft

Cooking old school where no part of the animal goes to waste. Just made a trip to Bargain and stocked up on the peppers. Dehydrated like 20 lbs so far. A freeze dryer is on my wish list for right now, but we did freeze some bananas for baking and smoothies. always on to the next project. But remember to stop and rest.😍

The pantry challenge is amazing, i also following and i love the way they are empty shelves, also im stocking into square , so thank you for that it helps to make more tidy and more visible my freezer. ( i will be with the challenge till i empty my pantry and will be looking forward to refill it with newer products, im working very hard in recipes and calculating what i need so i adjust my shopping) Im enjoying it sooo much!

I love this video. And Ive done that to. Lay down for a second haaa. I love beef tongue. If he does it again try it sliced on two pieces of bread with butter, like a sandwich and good old yellow mustard. Yum. And how amazing your son pulled a recipe how to exactly cook it. Slow :) Also we love going on the adventures out to town too :) You are rocking this Challenge. Fantastic. You have already done strong! Whatever else is just the icing. hugs

My x mother in law use to slice the beef tongue very thin and make sandwiches. I can't believe my daughter at the age of 3 was scarfing that up. But I must say it looks good. 😊 You do such great work. The deli store looks wonderful.

Lengua tacos are fabulous!! We have a several taco places near in our town and the lengua they cook is melt in your mouth tender.

I love your videos so much! I’m from Upstate NY and I get so homesick watching but I love to see your kitchen and creations.
Everything looked so delicious! Loved seeing the cheese and meats at that Italian market! Loved seeing ice fishing something I’ve always wanted to do)! Also that church was absolutely beautiful! You got a great deal on those groceries and especially those bananas! Bananas here in Oregon at Safeway, went to 39 cents a pound this week, and for us, that’s a good deal! I was like you the first time I tried beef tongue tacos, but they are really good! I liked them after I tried them and still do. I’ve tried some new foods and flavor combinations and found out I actually like them. I guess we just have to be open to trying new things every once in awhile!
