Your dad is very humble. 20% being a parent and 80% friend relationship in parenting advice from your dad made me think if how does my kids sees me. Be satisfied for what you have and lakaw lang ka until maapsan nimo simple statement but very meaningful . Made me very emotional after watching this vlog with my 2 kids because their dad just died last year and my son told me that his dad is his best friend too but he will not experience the things that you've experienced with your dad. More blessings, Young family.

I appreciate how Slater really presented that his father didn’t grow up poor, but comfortable. It is harder when you grow or start poor, it is very very different. Studying medicine or engineering back in the day still is something only a financially sufficient family can do and most of these people have Chinese blood.

Great video. It's so enthralling to listen to basic honest wisdom, not just construction and business wisdom, but mostly life wisdom. I think his best lesson was, ambition is good, but don't make it your total motivation. A great man, a good teacher and probably a great father, only you can answer that. Thank you for sharing.

People often ask or point out that I watch vlogs, saying things like, "You're a big fan of Kryz Uy, no?" or "of Slater Young?" I've been quietly watching, listening to their podcasts, and supporting this couple. Like I mentioned in Kryz's latest vlog, watching their vlogs is really satisfying and calming. I don't know why, but I always feel motivated to be better and dream big after watching them. Even though Slater uploads vlogs rarely and Kryz only once a week, it's always worth the wait. This almost 44-minute vlog or podcast felt like just 10 minutes to me. Again, I feel motivated, and it also raises my standards for building a family in the future. I want to have a family like theirs.

I enjoy watching this episode of the father and son interview. It's important to hear the advice of older generations, as they play a significant role in shaping children's upbringing and future. Children have their own perspectives and aspirations, but listening to the wisdom of their elders can be valuable. As children grow up and eventually become parents themselves, they will continue the legacy of passing on valuable advice and knowledge.

"Be your children's friend" - not all parents are brave enought to do this, thank you for showing and letting us know that it can be done. Slater, no doubt you are a good man because of your father, your family. Thank you for sharing a little about your life Sir John.

One thing I have learned from this video- that contentment is the greatest wealth. 😊 Kita nga sakto ra kaayo ang income pero we crave for more wealth and material things 😢 Contentment alone is the best way to happiness. Therefore, acquire contentment. 😅
