Wenyen Gabriel #32 played for the Los Angeles Lakers. Went to school with him. He made it to the NBA. JT Thor played for Charlotte, and Carik Jones. Got to look up the team before saying they ALL never been in the NBA. And USA lost to them by 1 point?!!? They certified to me.
Vlad completely wrong. They had multiple players with either NBA experience or currently in the NBA. South Sudan played extremely well, what’s the issue with only winning by 1 point? Every game will not be easy and simple. A win is a win.
Nobody was upset with Gilbert's analysis of the game. Alot of commentators had similar sentiments. They were upset the comments he made about the African players. So Vlad's point of Gilbert being more qualified to speak it makes no sense.

What Vlad doesn’t understand is that a lot of the South Sudanese 🇸🇸 players didn’t grow up playing basketball in South Sudan 🇸🇸. Many of them played basketball at high schools and colleges in the U.S. 🇺🇸 and Australia 🇦🇺. A lot of them have caught up especially since a sum of foreign Olympic players have or had whole NBA experience and stay collecting league MVP awards. Just because South Sudan is far from a wealthy country compared to the States doesn't mean they don't have great players. Folks need to go the other way by giving them big props for being very competitive than feel like the American ones are fumbling games.
