If u oc the 2700x with a good cooler and oc some fast memory you won't see a difference at 1440p or 4k. 1080p it will be maybe 10 frames behind a 3600 on average depending on game and ur settings, some games it will be the same performance.

Just like no one is going to pair a r5 3600 with the 3090 cos you’ve pretty much already established money AINT an issue. Make sense ?
Hi, I already built my PC. It has Ryzen 3700x, and I'm planning on getting a RTX 3070. I mostly play multiplayer games like Rainbow Six Siege, will this pair be okay? I also play at 1080p.
Hey bro! My pc has Ryzen 7 3700x and GTX1080, it will do all games fine 60fps 1080p. I think if you are getting RTX 3070, you should play 1440p because it will be OVERKILL for 1080p
I do have the R5 3600 now. I upgraded my PC so I can get a 3070. I'll be playing Destiny 2, Call of Duty, and Rocket League most of the time. Thanks for this benchmark!
Great video dude. Thanks. Also, does it matter which *brand* i go for... im seeing MSI, GIGABYTE, TWIN EDGE and so on? are they all the same size?
I don't know if you still need an answer on this or not but the 3070 should just slot in right where your 2060 was. It doesn't matter what the brand is as they should all roughly be the same size (though there may be some differences if it's a dual fan vs a triple fan model). As long as your case is large enough you'll be fine.
I have this setup and I haven’t found a game that has screwed with me yet. It runs perfect with great FPS across the board. I also run VR titles with huge amounts of taxing mods with ease!
Yeah I mean you'll be running maybe 20 fps less on some games that run at like 250 fps already so it's an unnoticable difference so this setup is perfectly fine
2-minute long intro. Then 1 minute of info which could have been a lot faster. No hate but I suggest going right to the point. I'm tired of skipping all the time.
Warzone at 1440p max setting with the two CPU’s compared would of helped and been interesting. I think the 20fps difference at 1080p might not of been there.

I just bought a pre-built rig with this combo. I mainly play singleplayer games at 1080p on a 1920x1080 monitor. Before I had a GTX 1060 (3GB) with an old AMD FX 8300. So I definitely think I have upgraded
none of these games bottlencked, not every performs the same but none of them bottlenecked. its a perfectly good cpu for 3070, maybe not for 3090.. no reason to make ti as dramatic as the video sound :) ..
I'm just trying to be as safe as possible with my projected estimations.
@@ScatterVolt would this pc be good for streaming warzone ?
@@kripton9ite445 yes for sure! the ryzen 5 3600 handles gaming and streaming/ recording perfectly fine, but if you are a little unsure you could save a bit more and get a ryzen 7 3700x. then you will have 8 cores and 16 threads and that will handle streaming even better but you can't really go wrong with the 3600. Remember that ryzen 5000 will be out soon though.
@@prozz_nv I might wait for the 5000 series then thank you

I have an AMD 5 3600 6-core processor but whenever I play games like Warzone I get well more CPU usage than GPU usage. My CPU usage will sometimes even go as high as 70 or 80% whilst my GPU is sitting at maybe 20-40%. Any way I can fix this without buying a new CPU?
Do you play 1080 P or 1440 P?
@@MrAk74killer 1080p.

Sad to say prices vary in every region, got a 2060super at 444 USD 1st week of September. A couples of days later nvidia 30 series came out, tho not available in our region.
However 2060s still a good combo with a R5 3600 "sweet spot" for a budget recording/streaming + games I guess :)
I'm running my 3600x with a 3080. not ideal but its honestly a huge jump from my 2070s. still thinking of going to 5800x or 5900x but i can hold off since the 3600x is doing a decent job.
did you end up upgrading your cpu? And if you did, what to?
@@Bdot888 yup got a 5900x and a nice B550 board. Also going 32gb dual rank memory was a good boost in FPS too.
@@benson556 awesome eventually ill get a 5900x as well, especially with how cheap they have been. But im going to wait until 4000 series cards drop since im happy with my 3600x and 2060 combo. But i want to experience 1440p 144hz gaming eventually
@@Bdot888 that's probably the way to go. 4000 series and see how games are. To upgrade cpu for you is so easy.
This is my set up and no problems with 1440p on ultra setting in Cyberpunk. Also using balance DLSS. Worth it.
I have a 3070 FE and a 3600 and I am only playing on 1440p and I'd say for that it's completely fine cuz you are putting more stress on the GPU. but for 1080p go for a different CPU :)

So would a Ryzen 7 3700x be the sweet spot?
A faster 6 core with better single threaded performance like a 10600/k or 5600X would be that sweet spot
@@ScatterVolt why would u rec that i5 with the price of it plus a more expensive mb? also the 5600x is only better at 1080p
Your content keeps getting better. Keep the videos coming!!
Anybody else wondering how it will do with the Ryzen 7 2700x? (Also the same price)
If u oc the 2700x with a good cooler and oc some fast memory you won't see a difference at 1440p or 4k. 1080p it will be maybe 10 frames behind a 3600 on average depending on game and ur settings, some games it will be the same performance.
It'll work fine, similar performance to the R5 3600 or slightly worse but not enough for a major bottleneck.
I just upgraded from a 2600x and gtx 1070 to a 3900x and 3070 just to play Cyberpunk 2077. I plan to pick up a 3080 and 5900x once they become back in stock.

6 is the magic budget build number during first quarter of 2021. Ryzen 3600, RTX 3060, 3600mhz CL16 Ram, Samsung 860 Evo 1TB.
probably the 3060 ti it's gonna be the best card for this cpu
Thing is no one would have paired a 2080ti with anything under 300 so it’s weird how changing the price makes us reconsider
Well when the 2080ti was priced insanely higher than the 2080 super with diminishing returns it’s assumed that if you have that kind of money you might as well fork out the extra on the cpu. Just like no one is going to pair a r5 3600 with the 3090 cos you’ve pretty much already established money AINT an issue. Make sense ?
Mujtaba Kazim ye that’s really the way it works
Hi, I already built my PC. It has Ryzen 3700x, and I'm planning on getting a RTX 3070. I mostly play multiplayer games like Rainbow Six Siege, will this pair be okay? I also play at 1080p.
Hey bro! My pc has Ryzen 7 3700x and GTX1080, it will do all games fine 60fps 1080p. I think if you are getting RTX 3070, you should play 1440p because it will be OVERKILL for 1080p
3070 is the sweet spot for 1440p at least for me
Unless you have a 240hz panel or something, than I would get a 1440p 144hz monitor because that CPU and GPU combo can do a lot more than 1080p.
Wait for the 5600X bro trust

Also, does it matter which *brand* i go for... im seeing MSI, GIGABYTE, TWIN EDGE and so on? are they all the same size?
I don't know if you still need an answer on this or not but the 3070 should just slot in right where your 2060 was. It doesn't matter what the brand is as they should all roughly be the same size (though there may be some differences if it's a dual fan vs a triple fan model). As long as your case is large enough you'll be fine.
This is gonna be my build! I got a few days till my 3070 reaches then im gonna build my pc. Wish me luck
All of you are mad or what that GPU is better than 2080ti then have u ever heard of pairing 2080ti with a budget cpu ...therefore go with r7 3700x
