The disgust and shock when he says “Bunch of goddamn fucking hippies?!” killed me 😂
I thought it was funny how he could instantly recognize it was a car full of hippies.
Mee too 🤣🤣🤣
@@bengonzales1182 If a crappy car is parked in the street of a rich resident area, of course its would be the hippies.
@@bengonzales1182 in the dark 😂😂😂
My favorite part of the scene.
I love how he yells at them and then takes a sip straight from the blender haha priceless acting
My neighbor is always pissed and always drinking. During summer always drinking margaritas strait from the blender. He calls it the extra large size.
Ikr! Everyone knows a neighbor like this! Hilarious!
WhoKnownsAndWhoCares? Depression?
Peter Swinkels
Anger management issues actually. No one in the neighborhood approaches him to often considering he owns a few guns
@@whoknowswhocares885 Don't piss him off. He might have a flamethrower in his tool shed.
Tarantino is awesome! He gave us Leonardo DiCaprio in a housecoat and slippers, in a driveway yelling at some hippies, drinking a frozen margarita from the blender.
I couldn't stop laughing XD
@@estrategacreativa Funny enough you can see the girl by Tex trying not to smile and laugh a bit if you look closely.
That classic look 🤣 I mean we have seen it before especially in Pulp Fiction with Eric Stoltz and Tarantino himself, but this one was a step notch with that margherita in a blender. Oh bless DiCaprio, just love it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
America
He also gave us Brad Pitt tripping on LSD taking down 3 Manson heads.
Most people say Brad Pitt stole the movie, which I initially felt as well. But after second viewing, Leo’s acting in every single scene was on another level.
agree leo carried the movie
Nah, both complements themselves. Cliff is the handsome guy and chill dude while Rick is the political but cool and funny dude
They were both awesome but I think cliff was still more entertaining
Not really, anyone could have done Leo's role
@@criticalem Man please stop.Being an actor and playing the role of an actor in a move is not everyone's cup of tea.I would rather say Brad was just playing himself and he did great coz he is so cool. Leo's character had multiple layers to it.
The Night Rick Dalton And Cliff Booth Change History
Truth. First time seeing it though, him walking out there ratcheted up the tension.
(LOL- that angry swig at 1:20)
If only they were real
John Wilkes Booth was real
Yes.
Lol
I’m completely convinced that Tarantino was pretty much venting his anger towards the Manson family through Rick in this scene. Rick is pretty much throwing all of the insults that Quentin would have thrown had he been there 😂
Yeah he must HATE the Manson Family. Understandable, especially because of what they did 1969. May Sharon Tate, her & Roman Polanskis unborn son, Jay Sebring & the others rest in peace. 💖
I think Cliff's scene is more in line with what Tarantino thinks should have happened to the manson family.
Considering what they say later on about trying to let media influence their actions, this could also be Tarantino saying "Fuck you" to all the mass shooters and people who blamed his films for being so violent and that he was responsible for what happened.
Not a fan of Tarantino or his movies but his execution and subject matter are worth at least some merit.
@@tortillas.56710 tarantino movies are postmodern
“The hell are you lookin’ at you little ginger haired fucker?”
Kills me everytime hahahaha
It's comedic perfection
I used to work in a bar with a ginger haired woman, she loved Tarantino and I'd say that to her all the time
😂😂😂😂
This is one of the best movies ever
Iknoowwww🤣🤣🤣🤣
"god damn private road...property taxes up the butt..." Legit empathize with Rick
0:30. That line delivery is fucking perfection
agreed. I also like how his eyes were darting around on every syllable during that line
🤣
I love, “fuckin private road, property taxes up the butt”.
The disgust 😂😂
It’s just funny to me how Rick is pretty chill the entire movie except when it comes to hippies. That’s the only time he loses his cool.
1:47. Leo is awesome with the insult
Hahahahahaha I laughed hard at that when I saw that first time
Criss Reznor I replayed that so many times! 😂😂😂😂
Oh, my gosh. I love that line. I'm gonna say that to whoever gives me "the evil eye".
I’m a ginger and I couldn’t stop laughing 😂😂
I'm waiting for a redhead to stare at me so I can say that line 😂😂😂
"TAKE THIS MECHANICAL ASSHOLE AND GET IT OFF MY FUCKIN' STREET!!!"
I laugh my ass off every single time
ME TOO!!!!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅ME too....every time!!!
Sakes. Same. 😂😂😂😂
"Hey! Dennis Hopper! Move this fucking piece of shit!" Is what gets me😂😂😂
It is one of the top movie lines of the past 30 years.
The bewilderment and disdain when he looks out the window and says, "bunch of goddamn fuckin hippies"... it's really just the best line reading of all time...
People crapping on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will never understand that this Film is basically a Love Letter to the Final Year of Hollywood's Golden Era.
Wow! Deep but so true ❤️
And at the same time the last original movie by Tarantino himself. His upcoming Star Trek flick will be his last.
So true ♥️ I regret I watched afer 2 years of its release. Reallly loved this movie. Quentin nailed it again.
The cars, music, period correct ads, and the references make it incredible. I don’t understand how some people don’t like the movie
Yep
1:46 This line is freaking hilarious 😂 and the way Dicaprio delivers it especially with the accent just cracks me up😄😄😄
Hilarious...I laughed so hard I have to blow my nose. Brilliant delivery.
“Ginger haired fucker”
as a fellow ginger haired fucker, I agree.
@@jakethemajikdog369 🤣🤣
0:31 for me it's better, the way he says that line :))
This point forward makes it 100% worth sitting through the entire 3hr movie
@Blue Space Kid so people have a low IQ for having an opinion on a movie?
Agustin Camejo ik🤣
Agustin Camejo I really liked it though
@Blue Space Kid I never said I only enjoyed the ending. I'm not the OP.
@Blue Space Kid movie was boring as fuck. Left you wondering what the fuck was going on the entire time.
I dont know why its funny but everytime he says hippies i die laughing and the way he curses the word its great
"Bunch of god damn fuckin hippies" 😂😂😂
@@skepticz730 the fuckin hippies aint, my buddy and his dog killed two of them, i torched the other one.
"Fucking hippies, motherfuckers."
I SWEAR !😂
It’s that valley accent.
"paying property taxes up the butt!"
Brother I can relate 😂
No shit! Haha
😂😂😂😂😂
LMAO
"Hey, Dennis Hopper, move this fucking piece of shit", lines like that are the reason of my happiness... thanks Quentin!!!
He was thinking of Easy Rider era Dennis Hopper. Lol.
Dennis Hopper touch is so awesome 🤣🤣🤣
1:45 - “The hell you looking at you little ginger haired fucker??”
LMAO 😂😂😂
" What the hell you are looking at you little head gingerfucker "
kills me everytime ,
mad leo is the best 😂👑
The last half hour of this movie is pure gold!
The entire movie is pure gold in my opinion, but the last half hour is what made it my favourite film of 2019!
The best part about Dalton was his utter destain for hippies. I feel the same.
Coupled with his bickering about property taxes. I was all on board.
“Mechanical asshole” lmao even the car got insulted
This was the funniest scene in the whole movie. The way Rick comes out drunk af, raging about hippies gets me cracking up every time
Something about the way he yells, the condescending tone, his disdain .... the casual sip from the blender.
This is beauty.
Really remarkable.
I fell out my chair laughing at this whole scene. Leo losing his shit is always classic
"Now take this mechanical asshole" is probably my favorite line in the whole movie 😂
I was dying in the theaters when he took a sip 🤣🤣🤣
DiCaprio is golden in this movie
Rick immediately became one of my favourite DiCaprio performances
Both of them knock it out the park, Leo and Brad.
It's so easy to get tricked by DiCaprio that he is really the character he is playing. You see pathetic, unremarkable Ernest Burkhart, and then come back to this and notice all the things about Rick Dalton you didn't the first time, the haughty attitude, the rich celebrity persona. Then you go revisit Wolf of Wall Street and find a completely distinct sort of snobbiness from Rick Dalton. Shutter Island, you get lost in the mystery in his eyes. Aviator, the feverish need to do something great and the pain of mental illness. Revenant, the stoic almost dead-man-walking coldness and loneliness. Master of his craft. He just makes it all so seamless. Greatest actor alive.
How Austin Butler kept it together with Leo drinking out of the blender is beyond me… Apparently Tarantino was laughing hysterically at that improv
Behind Video Village.
Leo didn't know he was yelling at Elvis Presley
When was the improv?
@@RxyaltyFN Apparently Leo drinking out of the blender after yelling at Austin Butler was improvised. Apparently the actors have a lot of fun making Quentin laugh while staying in character
I dont know why... but the hole scene just gives me so much joy
*whole
@@mrdecoco6896 TY
well yea ... If it only went down that way in real life instead of the other way..
this is one of my favourite scenes of all time
Probably once a week when I get angry I watch Rick Dalton yell at hippies and I feel better.
This was awesome! “Mechanical asshole!” Lol
IKR! Who but Quentin Tarantino would come up with a line like that! Brilliantly funny!
Favorite line of the whole movie
That "mechanical asshole" line is from the movie Christine from 1983, which is based on a Stephen King novel. QT definitely put it there as a reference to that movie.
@@bengonzales1182 Yeah, I caught the Christine reference. Darnell (Ronert Prosky) says it to Arnie when he first drives Christine into the garage.
@@criticalem What are you talking about?
Calling that car as “mechanical asshole” is savage! 🤣
"It's a bunch of god damn fuckin' hippies" gets me everytime🤣🤣
That was the best acting Ive ever seen in my life...
Then you need to see more movies. Heard of Brando in On the Waterfront? Pacino in Godfather Part 2 and Dog Day Afternoon? De Niro in Taxi Driver and Raging Bull.
@@missdee4927 You obviously dont understand my comment. What did the little girl say to Leonardo?
You need to watch a movie properly before making a comment!
The first time I saw this I honestly expected that Rick would get his head blown off, as soon as he passed that second headlight
Same.
Same.
I thought so too, especially because DiCaprio's characters usually end up dying
This is a great moment in cinematic history.
I hope I turn out with this kind of attitude in my mid to late forties!
save your money and buy a home with space. don't rent
@@blobcity3591 I'm already there with owning a home! My next dream is buying an acre of land out in the sticks to get away from this world's craziness!
The ‘YEAH ASSHOLE!’ in this scene kills me every time
That’s my part.. I die laughing
"I'm talkin' to YOU!"
I love how despite his flaws Rick is normally a really nice guy, but when a hippie is nearby he just shows a deep hatred for them (and this is before he finds out they have murderous intentions).
Damn he roasted the shit out of those hippies.
Cliff and Rick are loosely based around the real lives of stuntman Hal Needham and his best friend actor Burt Reynolds. TWO HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS.
I can see Burt Reynolds doing that kind of freak out.
1:41 Rick almost made Tex cry
He’s high as fuck on acid so anything that happens is 100 times more overwhelming.
@@MultiMuchacho plus the adrenaline at the thought that he's about to kill someone.
See and if that actually was how it went down, them tripping on acid and willingly killing a pregnant woman, that's so fucked. I praise nature and all it's beauties when I've tripped before, having a thought of killing someone would instantly give me a bad trip. Acid isn't PCP, it's unfathomable if people truly can be that evil during a fucking acid trip. Wow..
Great acting by him too
Rick's genuine disdain for hippies is hilarious 😅
"HEY!!!!! DENNIS HOPPER!!!! 😂😂
I died the first time i watched the movie and heard this 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Such a perfect reference 😂
Leo’s reaction to noise is hilarious. Seriously awesome .
0:01 This is what AI art grabs when you prompt "American Man in 1969"
I really like how even though Rick didn’t know he was dealing with some dangerous people he’s not afraid to put any one in there place and didn’t hesitate to cuss out and check a pair strangers the first half of the movie showed him as kind of a diva but in this scene it shows he’s also gotta rough side
8 whiskey sours and a blenderful of margarita will help.
Another Oscar performance by Leonardo Di Caprio. Outstanding actor:)
‘What the hell you lookin’ at, you little ginger haired fucker.” HAAAAA! My favorite line in the movie!
A lovely story. I wish these strange guardian angels had actually lived there
We all wish the same 💖 Sharon and her friends am sure are smiling from up above nodding in agreement
If only....
"TAKE THIS MECHANICAL ASSHOLE AND GET OFF MY FUCKING STREET" Brilliant LMAO
Omg! I could not stop laughing! Quentin Tarantino is a damn genius! Leonardo acting during this scene is unbelievably real! Thanks for posting this snippet! Lmao!
RIP Rick Dalton! You saved your neighbors’ lives that night! 14 Fists of McCluskey was awesome btw!
And Clif Booth. He tried
That margarita is a nod to kill bill when bud makes a margarita for Elle. I love how he incorporates a little bit of all his films together ❤️
Rick Dalton is Cartman's dad.
“Buncha goddamn fucking hippies... What the fuck?””” 😂😂 had me so dead
The fact of just how much in disbelief Rick Dalton is, in the sight of hippies. Just so unbelievably hysterical!!! 😂👏🏼 well done!!
Its like hes looking at Aliens LOL. so fucking funny. I died when I first saw this scene.
@@HipHopRylan Hey now, that’s an insult to the aliens! LOL 😂👍🏼
DiCaprio had me cracking up in this scene. Well done by everyone involved.
That tone when he says "Bunch of goddamn fuckin hippies. What the fuck?!" I knew something savage was about to happen XD
Why do I laugh at this anytime I see this? 😂
“Mechanical asshole” is hilarious 😂😂
“Buncha goddamn fuckin hippies” hahaha
1:47 my favorite line in the whole movie
What the hell you looking at you ginger haired fucker?
I’ll randomly just say, *Goddamn hippies* because of Rick Dolton.
Austin butler has come a long way
Funniest part in the movie 😂😂😂 “LOOK CHIEF!”
Rick is a savage 🤣
I was flipping channels one night and stumbled upon this scene and watched towards the end. I was like "wtf did I just watch?!" Awesome acting from Leonardo.
You’re lucky to stumble this great scene!🤣
Dirty fucking hippies” 😂😂😂 every time he complain about hippies is hilarious !!!!!!
This scene was hilarious I was hurting from laughing so hard😂😂
Literally made tex cry 1:40
This is my favorite scen from tha whole movie! Bunch of fuckin hippies! Hey Dennis Hopper!
I love how this interaction alters the course of history
I've watched this part 100 times! 1:16 That time Rick Dalton made Tex Watson cry. 😂😂😂
Love this scene, esp when he looks out the window. LOL!
I swear you just know he is going to flip out when he realizes its hippies. 🤣
So cathartic watching him yell
Love the way he mixes up that margarita
Rick is making a margarita in the same way Budd did in Kill Bill 2, and both of them are using the same jar to drink from.
It's a blender...
Ice cube tray is the same as well.
There’s also a scene where they mention that an Italian movie is produced by Antonio Margheriti (the made up name from Inglorious Basterds)
Well, Rick wanted to pour the margarita in the jar, but he ended up drinking straight from the blender.
Thats why Leo is the goat of acting 😭😭😭
I love it when Rick yells, "Hey! Dennis Hopper! Move this hunk of shit!." Rick must have seen Easy Rider.
2nd best scene in film history behind apocalypse now beach raid scene.
one of my favorite scenes, especially as someone who also loathes hippies
I still find it hilarious how he called the car an Asshole LMAO
I like the contrast between Rick and Cliff encounters the hippies, Rick encounters them with hatred verbally yells at them drinking a margarita, Cliff all high after smoking weed, He laughs at Tex then Cliff and his dog physically assaults them, Cliff gets hurt like a stunt man but Rick gets all the credit being the hero
It was Acid not weed
Leo’s characters are always so unique when it comes to Quentin Tarantino films. Some of the most unique lines you’ll never hear in a Scorsese film.
That’s literally my dad when he sees hippies
Your dad has his priorities straight.
"what the hell you lookin at you little ginger haired fucker" omg hahahaha
Funniest scene in the movie. I DIED! 😂
This is my favorite scene in the movie! 😂
Really feared for Rick's life watching this scene first time. Thought he was going to get blown away
Tarantino's ability to put together a movie just for this scene, is something that you don't see often in cinema these days. The what ifs, are some of his best movies. He thinks what if the Manson family messed with the wrong house, cause home defense for someone who loves guns is this scene on a good night here in America!!!
oh man Quentin's finest scene just perfect .... :)
Not gonna lie, that margarita looks fu..cking good 😋
“TAKE THIS MECHANICAL ASSHOLE AND GET IT OFF MY STREET”
😂🤣😂🤣😂😭😭
I love rick dalton
1:13
Now take this mechanical asshole and GET IT OF MY FUCKING STREET!
To be accurate with the Mechanical asshole line.....it is from Stephen KIng's "Christine"
😂😂😂
This is seriously classic to the Nth degree and it’s 2 years Old
Movie like a time machine
When i first saw this in theaters I for a moment thought this is how it would end. Just drunk rick scaring off the hippies and everyone goes to bed with no blood spilled. What we got was still cool but man what an insane ending that would be.
