I think both mom and sister in law has very old taste in clothes. Bride’s second outfit was wayyyyy beautiful than the one she picked and groom’s outfit with anarkali was really nice and modernish
So true. Her 2nd outfit was so pretty with that pinkish red color, the shimmering lehnga as well the softer and simpler dupatta. The 3rd one was gaudy tbh. The groom's anarkali bottomed kurta looked so unique and regal.
Pooja Dutta I think on a program you can’t always appreciate the true color or the beautiful detail. What bride needs to hear
a negative word about her choice. If she and her family like it , that’s important. Everyone has different tastes.

@@marybarry6408 it really was not her choice if you saw she went with what mummyji wanted....she loved the 2 nd dress but also needed to have it altered for longer blouse and less v neck in a week that is not possible....she compromised in that outfit...and the groom was of no help....

Oh hell NO Mother in Law! Your Son is getting married to his lifelong partner, not you! I don't care what religion people are, but having a MIL that doesn't cut the cord is a recipe for disaster!! It happened to me, I married the Son, not the MIL, so after 25 years I had enough and left!!! Best decision I've ever made!!

To make MIL not look insane
They better live far from the MIL, she's always gonna use that line "But, you have to listen to me".
Sorry you had to go through that, my MIL passed away before we got married and my FIL was amazing, treated me like his own daughter and I miss him every day.
Who say something like that? I mean they're both adults who are getting married, and besides MIL already had her wedding. Times change, what becomes acceptable changes. I can understand being modest, but I can't understand being controlling.

How do they all fit the outfits so perfectly? With the other traditional wedding dress shows, they have to use clamps to fit the dresses. With these male and female outfits, they seem to fit perfectly.

@Ann Green In India (atleast in the south) Bride's family pays for the groom's wedding attire and the Groom's pay for the bride's.
Regardless of who's paying, they should buy what the bride/groom likes because they don't have the liberty to pay for themselves (again because of the culture to buy one another's wedding dress). So it's quite complex.
ruclips.net/user/shortsOfCudZTeiVY?feature=share
I wish the MIL is reading all the comments and feels ashamed of the " You have to listen to me"
and the SIL both were horrible and inconsiderate to the brides opinion and the groom also he needs to start standing up or considering his brides opinion. He let her down big time.
Yeah I hope she reads all these comments and feel ashamed of herself. She’s a disgusting person for treating this young lady so terribly.
This is why you have to bring your own friend/ family member.
Here in India, we would not even look at these outfits they're so early 2000s in style. We have so many beautiful designers and Coutures catering to all kinds of budgets
Exactly !
Indians in USA are a lot more traditional. With that said, there are beautiful outfits here in the US. This is one of many, plus it depends on the customer's choice and many of them prefer that older style.
Maybe this show was shot in the early 2000s and is airing only now?
soooo true !!
That's a shame that you think they're dated. But I've also noticed that there are indeed, new sari designers in India. And they are different than the traditionals.
This episode proves that it is important to take people with you that have YOUR vision in mind for YOUR wedding. Auntie is very traditional and she wants tradition at all cost. Including at the cost of what her son and his bride want. They were beautiful on their wedding day; but, what would they have looked like had they had the dress the bride loved.
this is the way it is in most Indian families. respect is always shown to the MIL even more than the bride. She is joining their family and takes direction from her MIL even more than her own mother.
Ha ha she didn’t choose whom to take to this appointment coz she can’t 😂 MIL can actually call off the whole wedding !
Mother in law is idiot.
I agree. The thing is it's upto the groom to handle this type of situation and support his fiance to avoid a full blown arguement between the MIL and bride. Also I never understand why MIL get this way sometimes because they already had their moment so why are they trying to ruin someone else's? That's just mean and selfish.
She looked gorgeous in the 2nd outfit ❤
And the moment MIL stood up and clapped that she liked it .In short that was her warning and bride should have brought someone from her family as well .at the end she is someone's daughter so treat her nice MIL.

“She checks if I ate, she checks my hair!” So basically she treats you like your mum?
She basically behaves a normal girlfriend
Evidently you have never been in a loving relationship because there's definitely a difference lol
But since he's so ready to give in to what his mother says, maybe a mother is what he wants in a wife. Go from one apron string to another.
I don’t see what’s wrong with taking care of your loved ones. If you’ve never done either of those things in a relationship I find that odd. You wouldn’t glance and maybe fix, if needed, your man’s hair before y’all go out? Don’t you want him looking his best and wouldn’t you expect him to also fix a hair that’s outta place if he notices on you? And asking your man if he’s eaten is not weird, especially if you ever cook for him. You’ve never asked your man if he’s eaten cause you wanna do something nice for him and surprise him with a meal or snack or something? There’s so many reasons for both of those things to be normal and not excessively mother-like so I find it highly odd you’re tryna portray it that way and questioning it like you are..
...my goodness 🤦🏾♀️ I feel also bad for the Wife, her MIL is a problem now & she’ll most definitely be a problem later🙄

I really like to see the bride and the groom pick out their outfits together. It's so different from the western culture. Blessings!
@Ann Green why?
Originally the bride's side buys the groom outfit and vice versa.
@Ann Green Says who? We pick our wedding clothes together. There's nothing like we're not supposed to look at their dresses before marriage. Although we have a cultural rule of bride and groom not seeing each other on the wedding day, all decked up.
ruclips.net/user/shortsOfCudZTeiVY?feature=share
@Ann Green This video is not about western culture though. Its a culturally indian family. They'll follow indian traditions. And their traditions says that the opposite side gifts their new member their wedding attire.
Also for the comment above, are you sure "your" people didn't do all that. if yes, you are kidding yourself and go have a history lesson.
@Ann Green did i? Weren't you the one who said the groom shouldnt be here as if thats the norm for everybody? i was just explaining that for hindus, the marriage outfit is a gift from the groom's family. Its supposed to be reassure the bride's family that the groom can afford to give her a good life. The groom's family has to be here because they are paying for it.
and traditionally they are the ones who chose the bridal outfit.
I can’t believe only leaving it only 1 week for wedding outfits, but Nazranaa and Shia rocked it as usual! Loving every Saturday morning I watch the show 2-3 times so I don’t miss a thing, I wish it were longer!

When his mother was doing the language change up...That was a red flag to me!
English isn't her first language & we tend to speak in our mother tongue to express our thoughts better. Although her opinion about second outfit was bullshit.
The SIL is here to agree with everything MIL says, what a waste
I loved how Shashank was constantly concerned about what the bride and groom like irrespective of what the mother feels.
"But you have to listen to me!". I am sorry, what? My own mother wouldn't say that to me let alone a soon-to-be-MIL. Very hurtful and demeaning. They know they're being videographed, why would she say to Daljit. Very sad.

I love the groom's reaction to her 3rd outfit "we should've started with this one, let's get married right now " ♥️
I absolutely love these Indian wedding outfits, the bride and groom always look like like royalty.
The only people that say love at first sight is not real are those that have never experienced it. It is very real!
I experienced it with my husband. We are celebrating 20 years of marriage this year. The love does change and grow, like with all relationships, and it still takes work to maintain. 💘
Of course it's true...But, there is a difference between "LUST" at first sight and "LOVE" at first sight...Love feels lustless and deeper in the soul...It's as if you belong together, even if sex were not even in the picture...My husband of 28 years was a very handsome man and women always lusted after him...They poured over him like butter...I on the other hand found his every eye wrinkle and flaw, from first sight...He was 34 and I was 32...I was also very pretty and had many suitors...A lot more educated than him and with better financial futures...We dated for 5 years before we got married...He would sabotage all my dates by following me with his dates and telling them I was his sister, then he would say something out of line among siblings, on purpose...His mom and my paternal grandmother made friends and I could no longer get away from saying no...He didn't want to marry me either, because he wanted to be the eternal bachelor and parallel to the "Playboy Charles" of England...He died of cancer 4 years ago and it feels as if half of me, is waiting on the other side..Though as a widow, by all religious and legal rights, I am free to remarry and find someone to end my life with in happiness and love...The kids don't want to hear of it, though...😂...Many blessings to all, always...🙏😘💖🌹

It’s called infatuation at first sight it’s a difference. Love is more like an ability than a feeling 🙃 love takes time to develop and people who say love at first sight is real are just experiencing infatuation or “puppy love”. I would know because I’ve experienced both sides of the spectrum, falling for someone the moment I laid eyes on them as well as a slower burn type of romance.

i dont understand why these people have such dbl standards afterall they dated and didnt have an arranged marriage so why the fuss over short sleeves
Cuz she could expose her clevange during bending and stuff like that
The length of sleeves of the first blouse is shorter, it seems that the neckline is wide, that may be the revealing part.
Just being modest...

That Lehenga she chose was so outdated
Yeah , nothing new and there was no contrast between blouse and lehenga ,too much of gold design was going on
I loved that Lehenga. And I do not see any importance in being the newest fashion. The idea is that it is beautiful and classic and elegant, and it is all of that. I would absolutely love to wear that dress to own wedding, but that would not be appropriate, since I have a completely different heritage.
@@torkakarshiro5170 as Indians we know what's outdated it's not about classic things. You'll easily find classic red lehengas with much authentic designs

The last words of her mother in law: Garry and diljet have choosed their outfits 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💁♀️💁♀️💁♀️
I adore the woman employee ( owner) she is always so patient and gracious, she just sounds so congested, like I do when I have a sinus infection. Maybe she has allergies (?)
that's just her NEW JOIZEY accent
True I have always wondered about her sore throat.!

I did like the 3rd one the best. Is a great color, drapes over her shoulders perfectly, and has amazing embroidery that does make her look royal.
DO NOT GET MARRIED!!!!! You don't want that mother in law!!!! You must be your own person & don't allow others to control you. What a disgusting mother in law!! this is a sign of things to come!!! RUN!!!
Love at first sight does exist, we met in high school, I fell in love with him the instant I saw him, it’s been 49 years now.
Lovely show. Once again mother in law rules. I wish the couple best of luck in their marriage.
I know this is probably Indian culture but that couple should’ve left mother-in-law behind but they chose their outfit. Why didn’t she bring her mum and her sister? Mother-in-law wants to keep him as her little boy and she will rule every thing they do.
I believe it is customary that grooms family buys wedding outfit for bride, but I do agree bride should get her preference.
The groom’s family traditionally purchases the wedding attire and may times the mother-in-law or groom’s family members come along to approve of the purchase.

I love these dresses. I am shocked at the price difference between a American wedding dress and these dresses. American dresses are so much more expensive but to me these dresses have so much more detail & labor. Stunning! Who wouldn't feel like royalty in one of these dresses! His 2nd outfit change to red pants. Done. I love that 2nd outfit. Looks very different
Keep in mind that in Indian weddings, typically we don’t just have one wedding dress, we have multiple. Like the original red/pink dress for the wedding ceremony, then another similarily priced lehenga (dress) for the wedding reception. Usually the ceremony is in the morning and the reception in the evening. And there’s other wedding ceremonies earlier in the week where the bride also has to buy fancy dresses for like the Sangeet (basically a dance party) and the henna ceremony. There’s other ceremonies too so that’s like minimum 4 expensive dresses. Granted, the wedding day dresses will cost more but with hair and makeup and jewelry it adds up to around the same.
Thank you for putting the wedding pictures at the end. They looked perfect
She really was in love with the second one . How sad 😞
When the bride said I disagree with both mom and sil... the mil turns and gives the look "say what bitch"? 😄😄😄😄
To all the controlling family members I'd like to say, just live and let live. It's their wedding. They should get to decide what they want to wear. The mil attitude is horrendous. "U have to listen to me"...And why may I ask that is? Atleast the bride spoke up.
And MIL gave the outfit a standing ovation to make her point!! 🤦♀️
Lol...
Omg...i need to get invited to an Indian weeding. These outfits are divine. I must wear one of them at least once in my life. They r sooooo beautiful. Sending u ALL love from Brazil 💜💜.

His mother is so stinkin cute! He walked out in the second outfit and she was like “Nope”. Even though I don’t speak their language I knew exactly what she was saying. Loved her.
