Is the user ever prompted to enter their address if not detected within the known company network? Are there any options to require them to enter the address when off-site? What if they are joined to the company network via VPN but still at home?
Hi there, there are a few options around this. 1 - The roadmap will have notification pop ups (that will last about 10 seconds) in teams when a location is not detected, or confirmed. 2 - Admins can setup a custom banner that asks users to enter their address, and once they do, the banner can be dismissed. More info here: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/what-are-emergency-locations-addresses-and-call-routing#custom-emergency-disclaimer This is out today. 3 - Note that if an address is not confirmed, calls are still sent out as per the guidance here: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/emergency-calling-dispatchable-location#emergency-address-classification-and-routing
If you outdial 911 while in a Teams meeting, because the call is not tied to a user but rather a conf bridge, it will be sent to the relay center to determine location, as you mentioned.

How do you like Teams 911 capabilities? Anything you'd like to change or is it perfect? 🙂
Thank you, extremely helpful!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it 👍👍

What happens if you call 911 during conference call? does it auto route to relay center?

I've been trying to solve a 911 issue at work for MONTHS. Teams is just not recognizing the ChassisID of one of my switches no matter what I try.
Oh no, haven’t run into this one myself. Microsoft support able to assist?
@@CollaborationSimplified not at all. Ticket has been open for months now
