Overall she's amazing, top tier, but shouldn't just be viewed as a "xingqiu upgrade" as that typically isn't true. I went over most of this at 3:27 onwards (hydro application especially) but wanted to clarify on the damage as well, in case you were still wondering. Hope this helps!

When taking into account the added bonus of reducing ER needs in some teams, then yeah it’s worth considering, assuming you’re going for more vertical investment to improve current characters than getting more characters.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think everyone reported a partially true fact. The passive for The Stringless DOES work off-field, but the weapon is more suited to on-field Yelan due to the EM stat. When using her off-field, that EM stat on The Stringless is utilized much less, since she won't trigger as many reactions the way that her on-field playstyle does.

As well as giving bonus energy, Yelan c1 nearly lets you sprint indefinitely, assuming that your ground isn't too bumpy. It makes exploration a lot less tedious.

i accidentally pulled her when saving for kazuha when she first came out and i was really upset at first but now seeing what she can do im so glad i got her
I personally think 160% energy recharge, C1 Yelan would be enough to keep her burst up on cool down. I tried to use Favonious Bow and made her ER up to 200%, turns out it is overkill. I think 200% would be enough for C0. But if you are above C1, I think 160% is enough. However, adding ER in her stat would automatically boost her Burst if you use 4 set of emblem severed fate. So adding ER with that 4 set is just win.
Raiden(EM) + Nahida(as main dps) + Xq + Yelan = strongest team in game. Also very good for exploring because of Yelan (even better at c1 = x2 skill = more running) + bow user in team for some puzzles in open world (do not need to switch) + we have dendro for a lot elemental based puzzles in Sumeru, same will happen in Fontaine (many hydro puzzles), and this team already got you covered :) I can reccomend try using EM Raiden with Yelan in OW, it is super fun, and kills most enemies from range with only her (Yelan's)charged shot because of Raiden's E(elemental skill). My Raiden have 1k+ em and her E hits for 10k by reacting with another 15k from Yelan's "special hydro charged" shot, if someone is not dead after that - just use Yelan's E (that hits hard by itself, and also will react with Raiden's E) and it will most likely reset "special charged shot", repeat if nesserery, but really it's rarely needed.

I just got Yelan as new player ar 41. She's very flexible. Absolute insane with my Bennett and my dendro traveler. I either end up vaporizing, bloom or burgeon. Now gives me options for healer section with Dori, Qiqi or Yaoyao or even have a shielder . With Yelan's hydro application, fighting is such fun now.
Didn't see mention of her E skill allowing faster sprint on hold while recharging your main stamina bar. C1 makes this ability almost infinite sprint everywhere in the game. This is the primary reason I pulled her C1 as it already feels faster moving around with C0, C1 is nuts

220 pulls for this banner and I got c1 for my Hu Tao, Yelan, c6 Xingqiu, Aqua Simulacra and Homa. Won both featured character 50/50s and got Simulacra then Homa 30 pulls later my first time pulling on the weapon banner. Best luck I've had in the game! Loving Yelan a lot and getting c1 Hu Tao made me go from liking her to loving her. Thank you for this guide as it helped me figure some things out I had questions about!
Other than maybe Xq and Raiden. I do think Yelan is one of the best units an account could get. I genuinely think she's the closest thing to the perfect unit.

I remember when people were shitting on Fav bow cause everyone got one for free and they thought it was shit lol. People didn’t learn about ER requirements and consistently burst every rotation leads to higher DPS until like a year and a half into the game.
@@Aliens1337 the problem was more like bow was the worst weapon to have favonius on. it kinda still is but whatever Amber needed CRIT, Fishcl need ATK/DMG (she batteries enough), Venti's EM/Crit requirements, Diona procs Sac, and the others are Pure DPS -- at least you should admit EoSF changed that sentiment
I have to say, based on the upcoming Baizhu stuff, I'm looking forward to running him side by side with Yelan for my Alhaitham Hyperbloom team. Xingqiu's edge has always been him providing more damage reduction versus Yelan favoring pure offense.
I just got her at C1 I"m so happy. At the same time I pulled Xingqui twice putting him at C6. 4 of yelans artifacts boost her HP so I have her at over 40K. I use the Hydro and Millelith artifacts for a sub dps.
just got Yelan today after pulling Xiao on his banner a few weeks ago. 40 days into the game, AR 45, 1 welkin and 1 BP in and 2 dollars for primos for some reason. Greetings Mr. Socks, it seems to me you have neglected, purposefully or not, one of the best DPS hypercarries in the game that works very well with Yelan: Eula. Not only does the elemental reaction freezes the enemies, basically rendering them useless, Yelan can also buff Eula s damage with the use of her 4th Ascension passive Adapt With Ease, which increases your active character DMG dealt by 50%. Another character that i strongly recommend running with the aforementioned is Raiden Shogun, since she is able to proc the elemental reaction called Superconduct, which , as i am sure you know, reduces the Physical RES of all enemies in the AoE by 40% for 12 seconds. There is also the case of applying Electro and Hydro, but it more complicated that that, according to the Elemental Gauge Theory and Internal Cooldown of Elemental Applications. The 4th slot in your team is extremely flexible, as you can run another cryo battery such as Rosaria, Diona or Shenhe, depending on your taste. However i would recomend Jean, since she is a hot mommy, just like the other 3. As i am writing this, i sincerely hope that in the next guide you make, you will include the best DPS in Genshin Impact, Eula.
I was on Hiatus when Yelan was released, and during both of her reruns, and to this day, I could not be more frustrated with myself. Next time she shows up, I'll be ready. I'll be more than ready.
Characters with hp/def/em scalings like Yelan, or characters that get a lot of ATK from this stats like Itto or Hu Tao. Also characters who deals a lot of damage with transformative reactions: EM Kazuha, Kuki/Raiden in hyperbloom teams. Also reactions like spread and aggravate is stronger with 90lvl.
Thanks for the guide. Won 50/50 and got Miss Yelan at 16 pity. She has been doing great with my Heizou driver and my Cyno Aggravate (now Hyperbloom) teams. I was wondering if you would consider an updated Lisa guide, if you feel it’s needed? After getting her new fit I’ve been trying to build her too as burst DPS/support. I feel bad for forgetting how fun she is! She’s the only catalyst in this game that actually feels like a mage.
Last few months have been good to me. Haven't lost like 3 50/50 and able to get Raiden, Ayato and now Yelan. I also got Kuki character that I really want previously eventho she isn't in character banner. Only buy welkin once a months and glad with what I got.

I'm trying to decide who to get, Yelan or Hu Tao. I need a dps to go with Nahida so I wanna get whoever would work best with her. Any advice? She was my second banner after Ayaka and even today at almost AR 50 she’s carrying my LV 80 team at only C0 LV 40 (currently finishing Inazuma and didn’t start the chasm quest yet) my favorite combo is combining her with my favorite supports Sucrose and Xiangling with great attacker like Yanfei or Ningguang.

Yelan was a pull I don’t regret. She wasn’t someone I sincerely needed but she changed my account. She made them all stronger and she’s only at lvl 70 w a regular build and she’s alr doing incredible. I already had a built XINGQUI but with her in my teams my DMG increased and I’m able to kill things way faster

Favonius Series is just so good. You can run that shit on burst reliant teams like. National variants and hyperbloom variants.
I remember when people were shitting on Fav bow cause everyone got one for free and they thought it was shit lol. People didn’t learn about ER requirements and consistently burst every rotation leads to higher DPS until like a year and a half into the game.

Amber needed CRIT, Fishcl need ATK/DMG (she batteries enough), Venti's EM/Crit requirements, Diona procs Sac, and the others are Pure DPS -- at least you should admit EoSF changed that sentiment

I have to say, based on the upcoming Baizhu stuff, I'm looking forward to running him side by side with Yelan for my Alhaitham Hyperbloom team. Xingqiu's edge has always been him providing more damage reduction versus Yelan favoring pure offense.
I just got her at C1 I"m so happy. At the same time I pulled Xingqui twice putting him at C6. 4 of yelans artifacts boost her HP so I have her at over 40K. I use the Hydro and Millelith artifacts for a sub dps.
just got Yelan today after pulling Xiao on his banner a few weeks ago. 40 days into the game, AR 45, 1 welkin and 1 BP in and 2 dollars for primos for some reason. I don't really love her as a character and was really tempted to pull for Hu Tao, but opted for a slightly more "logical" decision. thank you for the guide zyox and mashallah 💙

Greetings Mr. Socks, it seems to me you have neglected, purposefully or not, one of the best DPS hypercarries in the game that works very well with Yelan: Eula. Not only does the elemental reaction freezes the enemies, basically rendering them useless, Yelan can also buff Eula s damage with the use of her 4th Ascension passive Adapt With Ease, which increases your active character DMG dealt by 50%. Another character that i strongly recommend running with the aforementioned is Raiden Shogun, since she is able to proc the elemental reaction called Superconduct, which , as i am sure you know, reduces the Physical RES of all enemies in the AoE by 40% for 12 seconds. There is also the case of applying Electro and Hydro, but it more complicated that that, according to the Elemental Gauge Theory and Internal Cooldown of Elemental Applications. The 4th slot in your team is extremely flexible, as you can run another cryo battery such as Rosaria, Diona or Shenhe, depending on your taste. However i would recomend Jean, since she is a hot mommy, just like the other 3. As i am writing this, i sincerely hope that in the next guide you make, you will include the best DPS in Genshin Impact, Eula.

Characters with hp/def/em scalings like Yelan, or characters that get a lot of ATK from this stats like Itto or Hu Tao. Also characters who deals a lot of damage with transformative reactions: EM Kazuha, Kuki/Raiden in hyperbloom teams. Also reactions like spread and aggravate is stronger with 90lvl.

Last few months have been good to me. Haven't lost like 3 50/50 and able to get Raiden, Ayato and now Yelan. I also got Kuki character that I really want previously eventho she isn't in character banner. Only buy welkin once a months and glad with what I got.

Edit: I just did one 10 pull, thinking I wouldnt get her, and figured I would still get pity for Hu Tao if I decided that I wanted her instead. But then i got Yelan at 23 pity LOOOOOOL

She was my second banner after Ayaka and even today at almost AR 50 she’s carrying my LV 80 team at only C0 LV 40 (currently finishing Inazuma and didn’t start the chasm quest yet) my favorite combo is combining her with my favorite supports Sucrose and Xiangling with great attacker like Yanfei or Ningguang.

Yelan was a pull I don’t regret. She wasn’t someone I sincerely needed but she changed my account. She made them all stronger and she’s only at lvl 70 w a regular build and she’s alr doing incredible. I already had a built XINGQUI but with her in my teams my DMG increased and I’m able to kill things way faster
