Actually yeah, there aren't that many supes for a virus to transmit through. Unless normal people can be carriers. A virus would fizzle out in months. Could also use Soldier Boy to burn out V.

Homelander was actually never given compound V. He is more or less a genetic experiment to create the world's best superhero. His father is soldier boy, and he was born with his abilities as that woman, Betty, mentions in the laboratory when Homelander kills the doctors. "You ripped her (His biological mother's) guts out, and then levitated into the air." So, he was never actually given Compound V, because he was already a Supe. Its possible Compound V can be passed onto offspring, but that would mean Ryan has it too most likely.

That would likely mean that his strength and durability comes from Soldier Boy, and the rest of his powers come from Compound V, as well as V strengthening his powers. If Ryan has no V, then I think it's very unlikely the Virus would affect him, but there's also no guarantee that he doesn't have V in him.
