Cause JSU has always had a very dark sound. SU used to have a light sound that fit them perfectly, but they’ve made some changes and they are starting to sound like every other SWAC band smh
When judging a battle one has to consider multiple factors. Here's one factor, when you have a band has huge as TNSU or Talladega etc. you're expected to sound loud and full ESPECIALLY when you add euphoniums into the picture in which I believe both Talladega and TNSU have. So when you put them up against a Jxn State or Miles College who sounds just as strong and arrangements are just as nice. It gives you a better perspective on how to judge I dare not discredit TNSU or Talladega, more so TNSU, I like TNSU and believe they're a solid band
It goes in order of the actual performances on the field because they don't have enough room in the stands for all of the bands at one time. When on band is preparing to enter the field the two are in the stands playing selections. Others are outside of the stadium warming up.
