The Warning are 3 sisters from Mexico and Band Maid are a group from Japan, after meeting at the After Shok rock festival they realized they had been fans of each other’s music for some time. They spoke of how they actually shared fan bases and thought it would be cool to do a show or tour together. In June of 2024 they made it happen and got together to write some songs together and shared the stage for this song. Both bands are very different and from different parts of the world, but share a lot of the same fans. Thank you for checking them out.

I can't speak to Band-Maid, but The ladies of The Warning are incredible. If you were to go watch some of their very early videos when they were just starting out, you would know that these Mexican sisters were not yet little bilingual Catholic school girls when they first got into music at summer camps. Mom's a dentist. Dad's an engineer. He used to run a recording studio. They grew up listening to their parents' rock favorites and watching concerts on TV. The kids all learned classical piano first, then discovered Rock Band, the video game. Suddenly, they were choosing instruments. Dany started guitar lessons at eight. Pau started drum lessons at six. Ale started bass at seven, a few years later, as she's the youngest. They were a great cover band as LITTLE KIDS. But they rarely do covers anymore. They are as good as, or better than the bands they covered! And in most cases, they are more fun to watch. Their first two albums were crowd funded and independently produced! Before watching any more of their music, I'd suggest you watch their two TEDx Talks on the University of Nevada channel, from way back in 2016 and 2017. Perhaps also watch The Warning: The Mexican Rock Stars Who Happen To Be Sisters [TIDAL Rising Documentary] on the TIDAL channel. Maybe watch Mayday in the Making, parts 1-6. As much as you like it now, if you know who they are, and where they come from, their music will make a lot more sense. These ladies are now 19, 22, and 24, and just sold out their Spring tour, 19 dates in Europe and the UK. They're also back from Japan and a stint in L.A. for the launch of their new album, now in Europe and headed on to Canada, the USA, and other places this year. They already sold out a 10,000 seat arena in Mexico City for next February, and added another date there, due to demand. Their fourth album arrived June 28, and they performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live the night before. They were on MTV Push during July. They played Pol'and'Rock and Wacken Open Air festivals in Europe before tens of thousands of fans.Their superpowers are LIVE performance, music COMPOSITIONAL skills, LYRICAL depth, STAGE presence and charisma, and personal integrity. There’s so much to say about both bands, specially of The Warning since they have documented their whole history each day. Let’s keep it simple and say that both are Hard Rock bands full of talented artists and people should start listening to them cuz they know how to rock 🤘🏼😎
Here is some introduction to The Warning: The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". Their 4th studio album "KEEP ME FED" came out June 28th, 2024. And 6 singles off the new album have already been released: "MORE", "S!CK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", "QUE` MA`S QUIERES", "AUTOMATIC SUN" and "SIX FEET DEEP" The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #51 original songs (not including the remaining songs from the upcoming 4th studio album). Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many. Drummer Paulina recently won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. This is my personal take on both bands. Band-Maid = 5 piece rock band = Japanese = In their 30s = More complex composition = More technical playing The Warning = Power trio = Mexican = 24, 22 & 19 = Simpler more melodic composition = Super catchy riffs and choruses

The Warning are quickly gaining popularity after many years of hard work. They’ve toured the UK with Muse and Royal Blood and opened for Foo Fighters and Guns ‘N’ Roses. They’re amazing live and next year they play Brixton Academy in April, their biggest UK headline show so far.

Thanks from Japan 有難う。 I witnessed the live debut of this song that was played as the encore & finale of the special concert by Band-Maid & The Warning on June 12 in Roppongi, Tokyo . My seat was located on the 2nd floor but in the center meaning in front of the two drummers. I was in bliss! It looked to me that Paulina and Akane literally and happily competed to see which drummer can break their bass drum first in the joint performance. Band-Maid is one of the best bands in our country, especially in live performance. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and any type of rock can be enjoyed here now, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)

Fun reaction, Teddy. I have only become a fan of Band-Maid through The Warning, so I can only speak of TW. If you're interested in exploring more, I definitely recommend watching The Warning live as their energy and charisma totally jumps off the screen. As far as tunes to react to, for some punky vibes, I would suggest the song "S!ck" performed on the Jimmy Kimmel show. For a sheer vocal showcase, I would recommend "Hell You Call a Dream" from the Pepsi Center. And “Automatic Sun” (more hard rock/grunge), really shows a different side (they did that on Kimmel too, or check out their original video in front of a huge festival crowd). Highly highly HIGHLY recommend 'Hanabie.' and 'ATARASHII GAKKO!!' for some more Japanese music goodness. I feel like K-Pop tends to overshadow a LOT of the incredible talent that comes from their neighbours in Japan, but such good music comes from Japan and you'll defo appreciate it

BAND-MAID is a Japanese rock/metal band and The Warning is a Mexican rock band. Both bands are very interesting to listen to. It makes me very happy to see them together, they are very talented❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
The Warning are 3 sisters from Mexico and Band Maid are a group from Japan, after meeting at the After Shok rock festival they realized they had been fans of each other’s music for some time. They spoke of how they actually shared fan bases and thought it would be cool to do a show or tour together. In June of 2024 they made it happen and got together to write some songs together and shared the stage for this song. Both bands are very different and from different parts of the world, but share a lot of the same fans. Thank you for checking them out.
Band-Maid and The Warning crossed paths at a rock festival in the States in, I think 2022. They were both excited to meet and said they were fans of each other.

I can't speak to Band-Maid, but The ladies of The Warning are incredible. If you were to go watch some of their very early videos when they were just starting out, you would know that these Mexican sisters were not yet little bilingual Catholic school girls when they first got into music at summer camps. Mom's a dentist. Dad's an engineer. He used to run a recording studio. They grew up listening to their parents' rock favorites and watching concerts on TV. The kids all learned classical piano first, then discovered Rock Band, the video game. Suddenly, they were choosing instruments. Dany started guitar lessons at eight. Pau started drum lessons at six. Ale started bass at seven, a few years later, as she's the youngest. They were a great cover band as LITTLE KIDS. But they rarely do covers anymore. They are as good as, or better than the bands they covered! And in most cases, they are more fun to watch. Their first two albums were crowd funded and independently produced! Before watching any more of their music, I'd suggest you watch their two TEDx Talks on the University of Nevada channel, from way back in 2016 and 2017. Perhaps also watch The Warning: The Mexican Rock Stars Who Happen To Be Sisters [TIDAL Rising Documentary] on the TIDAL channel. Maybe watch Mayday in the Making, parts 1-6. As much as you like it now, if you know who they are, and where they come from, their music will make a lot more sense. These ladies are now 19, 22, and 24, and just sold out their Spring tour, 19 dates in Europe and the UK. They're also back from Japan and a stint in L.A. for the launch of their new album, now in Europe and headed on to Canada, the USA, and other places this year. They already sold out a 10,000 seat arena in Mexico City for next February, and added another date there, due to demand. Their fourth album arrived June 28, and they performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live the night before. They were on MTV Push during July. Even though it is not the Villarreal sisters' (aka The Warning) native language, they all speak pretty "unaccented" (from a U. S. perspective) English and are very, if not totally, bilingual.
Trilingual. They also speak French. For Band-Maid, the guitarists have a better command of English than Saiki (the lead singer), but she's coming along. Band-Maid usually sings in Japanese with heavy sprinkles of English. The Warning records in English and Spanish.

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Here is some introduction to The Warning:
The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR".
Their 4th studio album "KEEP ME FED" came out June 28th, 2024. And 6 singles off the new album have already been released: "MORE", "S!CK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", "QUE` MA`S QUIERES", "AUTOMATIC SUN" and "SIX FEET DEEP"
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #51 original songs (not including the remaining songs from the upcoming 4th studio album).
Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many.
Drummer Paulina recently won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

This is my personal take on both bands.
Band-Maid = 5 piece rock band = Japanese = In their 30s = More complex composition = More technical playing
The Warning = Power trio = Mexican = 24, 22 & 19 = Simpler more melodic composition = Super catchy riffs and choruses

Thanks from Japan 有難う。 I witnessed the live debut of this song that was played as the encore & finale of the special concert by Band-Maid & The Warning on June 12 in Roppongi, Tokyo . My seat was located on the 2nd floor but in the center meaning in front of the two drummers. I was in bliss! It looked to me that Paulina and Akane literally and happily competed to see which drummer can break their bass drum first in the joint performance.
Band-Maid is one of the best bands in our country, especially in live performance. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and any type of rock can be enjoyed here now, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)

Fun reaction, Teddy. I have only become a fan of Band-Maid through The Warning, so I can only speak of TW. If you're interested in exploring more, I definitely recommend watching The Warning live as their energy and charisma totally jumps off the screen. As far as tunes to react to, for some punky vibes, I would suggest the song "S!ck" performed on the Jimmy Kimmel show. For a sheer vocal showcase, I would recommend "Hell You Call a Dream" from the Pepsi Center. And “Automatic Sun” (more hard rock/grunge), really shows a different side (they did that on Kimmel too, or check out their original video in front of a huge festival crowd). Hope to see more of The Warning on your channel soon!

Highly highly HIGHLY recommend 'Hanabie.' and 'ATARASHII GAKKO!!' for some more Japanese music goodness. I feel like K-Pop tends to overshadow a LOT of the incredible talent that comes from their neighbours in Japan, but such good music comes from Japan and you'll defo appreciate it
