i just gotta say........your jam piece for the JTC channel called "feeling fine" has some of the most organic tastiest tone and licks i've heard. i still try to dial in that tone to this day because it just breathes like its alive, almost like its your actual voice coming through the guitar!
I don't think I've ever seen Alex rocking out in this style, he is flat out awesome at it!!! I'm a huge Ibanez fan but for this type of thing the Strat is the clear winner.

Love the way that Ibanez really does embody that metal sound, while the Strat has that classic flutey Yngwie/Blackmore tone. Alex has maxed out guitar; he's cracked the code: he can play ANYTHING.
Excellent chops and phrasing, very tasty. Thanks for sharing! Tone wise I prefer the Ibanez with its humbucker sound. The Strats single coils sound as if they are only halfway distorted due to the much lower output. But to my surprise it still sounds good. I guess it's because my ears are so familiar with both the tones from listening to 80s shred albums.

What a legend you are, I remember when I heard you for the first time, it was the song "Rock and a hard place" in JTC, and I was absolutely impressed in a section around minute 0:44 where you do some consecutive sweep picking that when listening to them I almost died and to this day every time that I hear it again is like the first time. Maybe one dedicated video for that? and not only the strat, I'm having difficulties to keep other types of my guitars to stay in tune. Not sure if i like the Strat more as i am more used to listening to mr Harmonic Minor Yngwie on a strat sound so my ears are trained. This was a great video and interesting topic i have been thinking of for a while....
I love how this exposes all the gear snobs. If you hand a great guitarist a cigar box and broom handle guitar strung with barbed wire they’ll play your ears off!
Always been a Strat guy Alex. Tried a Floyd Rose Ibanez and just didn't like the time it took me to tune it, remembering the order to tune the strings etc ! Even with my strats I tend to block the trem ( sacrilege I know :) ). Quite like the look of the newer Ibanez AZ series Ibanez. I fear GAS coming on again 🤘🎸. Great playing as usual Alex. Cheers.
