Does Air Canada usually fly the 777-300ER this route? Seems a little big for such a short flight.

Depends on the season and whether they need to reposition the aircraft between cities. It’s not super common, usually the A220, A320, or A330 is used on this route

@@WillAviation thanks for the info! Yes, I know some airlines use larger jets for domestic flights, but this one seemed especially short. Kind of defies the "extended range" capability that its meant for, but I guess it must be a busy route so still cost effective for the airline.
