That's how I feel because my friends assume I can't go anywhere cause I have a "strict" mother. She just sets rules for me and boundaries. My friends parents let their children do what they want whenever they want. They also created a group chat for themselves

You feel guilty thinking that it's right of your friends to ignore you after all you hangout with them less, you want to hang out with them more but you can't! Because of your parents ! yet you still want them to call you , text you, come over at your house and please please please try adjust themselves due to the rules set by your parents! But reality is often disappointing, you're feeling lonely as you scroll through your feed and see a group photo of your friends hanging out which your parents might have allowed with some convincing and then you want to call them and ask that why didn't they ask you? On their birthdays you make gifts and cards and stay up till midnight to congratulate them but the only response you get from them is - ' thanks' I mean c'mon! It would have been enough for me to keep going but it's okay right? If I put in a little more effort, we might grow closer. Because I don't know where I am going wrong! Well one time that happened to me too, i was talking w my bestie (now ex bestie) and she started to be toxic and she even said that she will took screenshots of our chat even thought she started it. So like the next day we went to school and she spreaded the rumors about me being toxic asf even thought SHE was the one who was being toxic on our calls and texts, i tried to not cry because she even telled almost all of my secrets to her "besties". But she didnt post the screenshots to them, it was all good then but then she started to talk w my bestie so much that she even hated me a lil bit and when i hangout with her and my friend i wasnt talking w them that much bc i was on a swing and she even said, is everything ok? I was like bro can't you see? I am being bullied by your "bestie" When she called me one time she said if she can add my ex bestie and i wanted to say no but she still added her And we were playing a game. I did something accidentaly And i said sorry but then i did it again but on purpose how she will react. That's how I feel because my friends assume I can't go anywhere cause I have a "strict" mother. She just sets rules for me and boundaries. My friends parents let their children do what they want whenever they want.

(Yes!!!! And the thing is you can't blame them even if you want to! You feel guilty thinking that it's right of your friends to ignore you after all you hangout with them less, you want to hang out with them more but you can't! Because of your parents ! yet you still want them to call you , text you, come over at your house and please please please try adjust themselves due to the rules set by your parents! But reality is often disappointing, you're feeling lonely as you scroll through your feed and see a group photo of your friends hanging out which your parents might have allowed with some convincing and then you want to call them and ask that why didn't they ask you? But you're afraid! You're afraid that you're going to get the disappointment through their answer and you don't call. On their birthdays you make gifts and cards and stay up till midnight to congratulate them but the only response you get from them is - ' thanks' I mean c'mon! I put in that much effort and I'm not asking for anything big but just a little appreciation, even if you would have smiled and said ' I love it! It's great!' It would have been enough for me to keep going but it's okay right? If I put in a little more effort, we might grow closer. Because I don't know where I am going wrong! I want to call you, talk to you but I feel you're avoiding me, talking to me with politeness but that's not what I need! I want to villainize you and think that you're not worthy but I can't because I feel guilty thinking that if my parents have been more easy going, would we have been best friends? Would you have hung out with me? Laugh with me? Play with me? Would you have done that? most of the time I say it to myself that it's not their fault after all I never come when they invite me even if I want to but then I couldn't help but think that could they not adjust themselves a little for me? Change timings from 8pm to 6? Or maybe 7? 7:30? I can compromise ! See I can! So can you please do it as well! Just a little! Just a tiny bit!)~ me

I can relate to this, one of my best friend had a birthday party a month ago and let’s call this person Lexi, and when they texted me about it they clearly stated ‘And no sleepover this time’, the ppl there were my best friend, me, another one of my best friends and let’s call this one Mattie (all three of us have been besties for years now) then a couple other girls I didn’t really know. Mattie had left already and I was kinda being left out at the party so when it came time to leave I went to get my shoes and they thought I already walked out the door. So next thing I know I hear Lexi say ‘So now we can talk about the sleepover.’ (These were random names cause I don’t want to say their real one, also sorry for the random vent I guess-)
It hits really hard especially when you can’t unfriend your friends because those are the only friends you have :(

Well one time that happened to me too, i was talking w my bestie (now ex bestie) and she started to be toxic and she even said that she will took screenshots of our chat even thought she started it. So like the next day we went to school and she spreaded the rumors about me being toxic asf even thought SHE was the one who was being toxic on our calls and texts, i tried to not cry because she even telled almost all of my secrets to her "besties". That's why I've always wanted to have just one friend. My "friends" have never invited me to go with them, not even once. They weren't really my friends.
