I've noticed the increased stickiness too. Your sunk cost point is spot on, but there is now a lot of grinding involved. This is great for fuel selling and revdis by itself. And if you don't want to grind for OW, there are other options which is key I think.
I liked the beta but stopped playing. I'm curious to see the pricing. Shards were harder to get at a certain point, and transactions were slow but eventually worked. I ran into bugs, losing holos and higher-tier catches. (Like way more than 20 times) Then, real life caught up to me, so I haven't played in weeks. I bought six other games during the Steam sale and had just as much fun without the bugs (just saying). I'll give it another try this weekend, but I need to know the fuel and shard prices before I go all in.
I 100% agree that the T0 stages are not as fun and engaging as higher tier stages and I worry it will hurt people first impression. Unlike testnet beta people will have to pay for T1 access and I worry people will not pay money if they arnt sold on T0s. I think T0 should be unique illuvials and not just a few that span all types. Thoughts?
What do you mean by mass marketing..? 🤔 Kieran is currently going on an AMA tour. The Airdrop campaign is the mass marketing. Web3 marketing is not Web2 marketing. Web3 native gamers will find Illuvium naturally. Web2 gamers still hate NFTs so no point in wasting any time with those people. They'll come around once we go mainstream.
tbh everything is on mobile these days. even if it gets 100k players, the OW should be considered a hit. interested to see how ILZ do on mobile though.
Hearing you talk about people dropping $1000 a year or $100 a month as you said is fucking ridiculous. I've played EVE online for 10+ years to the highest levels, multiple accounts at the same time and it was at its maximum $60 a month.... for multiple accounts, not just a single account like this.... And over time it became cheaper to play, paying for my subscription in game with PLEX, so no real money spent in the end. This though.... this is fucking moronic.. "A fool and his money are soon parted" The funny thing is.. if i tried to RMT the money i have in EVE i would make tens of thousands of dollars, BUT theres a reason most games frown upon RMT lmao. Probably make more money than this game ever will for anyone.
the beta was definitely hectic with all the testing and random changes, but people are getting paid. I don't believe you know what a scam is. This team has worked too hard in the last 3 years to blow it all away on a "scam"
@@metsrus didn't say they scamed, read what i wrote again. I'm talking about the last minute change they do in events and people don't like this. seeing this objectivley and not as a fan boy.
@@NKnightK some of the decisions seem to be made on a whim and haphazardly, but i'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it's beta testing. Testnet is basically rehearsal and they're gonna get some things right and some things wrong. Hopefully there will be more stability in the upcoming future with the true release on mainnet.

Getting the game right for main net is significantly more important than anything else. Thankfully they have switched up to month by month seasons which should alleviate this issue.
@@Guttan2k Would just be speculating. But he kind of took it upon himself to take an ownership role on the Illuvium team. That's how it felt listening to him talk. Might have butt heads with Kieran a little. I could see that happening. To be honest, he's a good guy, but I didn't see him as the face of Illuvium. And with all the content that he was doing, I'm actually glad he left. But with that said, I do think he's a really good guy and wish him the best.

Yeah they overly nerfed it. The balance is very tricky tho
Lovely! Thank you for sharing.
Illuvium will be huge!
It absolutely will be! I can't wait
One week to go! Was super cool seeing the trailer on the IGN RUclips channel!
Oh for sure. It would be a life long dream for any game studio!
this will make it so much cooler
It will have a profound impact, even if its just on perception
OMMGGGG THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT ...LLLFFGGGGGGGGGGGGG
I KNOW RIGHT!!
What weapon are you using scoriox? The homing skill of your weapon has very high damage.
The swords had homing shots, but this video i recorded ages ago, a lot has changed haha

I'd actually like to see Tier 1 Illuvials become free and appear infrequently in stage 0 zones

I play at Illuvium and i love it. But the best IP is cross the ages by far.
I need to learn more about cross the ages clearly. Shoot me a msg on discord if U wanna explain it to me

People spend 50k on mobile gacha games. And I spend thousands on Pokemon cards. Everyone is different
It's boring. It#s only a little bit sticky because of the airdrop. Imagine no airdrop who wants to play this. It's f... boring
I want to play it. I enjoy it, and I couldn't give a flying f about the airdrop
After the airdrop bullshit and the last minute hollo and dark hollo added they are building a pretty scamy reputation if you ask me 🤷♀
