To be fair, the only thing i didnt like in this game is that when you enter battle... The same damn music starts over and over again. On other hand. Soundtrack is epic.
+MasterNikslg Yeah that was the game's real low point that made the werehog seem more taxing than it actually was. I think people general feel that they should've had a "battle version" of every night theme to make it less jarring when it kicks in, though I'd honestly be fine without a battle theme as well. That being said, I think it worked great as a battle variant for Skyscraper Scamper
Great medley and great points in the description. Even after 11 years (good lord) i think your analysis still holds up. The quality of this soundtrack is astounding to this day. The way they managed to incorporate so many vastly different styles of instrumentation and still create an incredibly cohesive soundtrack is nothing short of incredible. Ohtani and the rest of the sega sound team are so good at what they do. Also damn, that transition from skyscraper scamper to arid sands. Nice.
Perhaps the greatest ost ever made in a sonic game. It sure as hell is one of THE GREATEST ost's I've ever listened to! Perfect mood and tone for every level, boss, mid-level, and cutscene. I felt like I was traveling the world meeting new people and places, all along the way to stop everyone from perishing from a dark creature. The game is good already but the music made the game far greater than it ever could be without it.
Me personally I actually liked the night time stages more, only thing I couldn't stand was the battle theme. especially how it played everytime an enemy was near. outside of that it's a creative and unique change of pace for sonic.
I LOVE Sonic Unleashed(mine from ps2)... but I HATE that the XBOX version is WAY BETTER, because THE ENTIRE GAME WAS REMADE, except the storyline(wich is still good)...

I finally find someone that doesn't mind the werehog.

ah how I love his medley and how I love the game it came from.
Now this is solid. Thanks for making this.
