I was 5 years old by then. But the 2000s were great really and by this meaning that 2008 was great too. Back in the day when there wasn't any crisis bullshit for anyone to care for that much, but when everything wasn't so futuristic but rather mixed-up, when old school met new school. When none this bullshit of these days happened with this worthless pandemic. Back when everything was laid back and so were the songs, cars didn't sucked like nowadays, everything sucks nowadays. Gta 4 will stay the same. Long lived be gta 4 and it's songs along with it's decade. Back then when they put their hearts into anythin' they've produced, from songs to cars, games, movies and TV shows etc.
Actually insane they managed to get Francois K, one of the legendary NYC DJ's, to mix this set. The song selection and mixing is on point. Shame of the superdistorted bass though.
Yeah man I downloaded it and play it through a mixer now and tweak the bass a bit
About the distorted bass I suppose it's like this to make it sound more realistic, like a real FM radio.
The development team (and Francois K) did well to get a number of big names in the mix - One + One, Boys Noize, Simian Mobile Disco, Justice, and more.

Throwback to simpler times in '08. Messing around at the airport and glitching into the main terminal building in multiplayer lol. So many great memories. GTA V Online is nothing compared to the good old days.
Ahh. I remember playing Free Roam, taking a helicopter out to the Sultan RS Spawn, then taking it to the pay and spray, *going in and out about 40 times just to find your favourite colour*, then driving carefully all the way to the airport for some guy to either blow you up or whip you into the ocean with an annihilator whilst driving down the run way after you've spent all that time getting the car lol, the rage. Good times though.
Too right. It was a hell of a lot more fun that way though. You had to actually put in some effort to get stuff, and it could be taken from you just like that. Not like in GTA V where you can just buy a cash card, get an Adder, call mechanic, and you're set. Then just get a respawn if it gets blown up. No fun in that at all. I sound like a grumpy old man, but it's true lol.
What really triggers me at GTA Online is that, you can't just play with random people like in GTA IV, they will always just blow up your car and/or kill you for no reason. It's literally like a playground for kids.
Nana Yeah I agree. On IV I always used to run into people on Race/Free Roam that were really cool and passive and then would end up making friends with them on PSN. Hasn't happened once on GTA Online.

I was 7 when it came out I was living Barcelona back then, I remember seeing that the main character was called niko like my name nicolas. There was a summer that my uncle and I had to take care of a house of one of his friends, he had the ps3 and Gta 4, man that was a nice summer. This station along with Liberty Rock Radio, the Journey and Integrity (Lazlow's talk show) became very synonymous with GTA IV to me. Every time I hear any of the songs featured on those channels I'm taken right back to 2008 and playing this game as a teen. "The Devil In Us" is probably the one track off of this station that provoke the strongest nostalgia for me and I got really into BDDC. I remember actually having Bernard Fevre as a Facebook friend back in those days. Great times, I often miss 'em.

Saw François K at Global Gathering in the UK I was off my rocker on acid but hands down best set of the night and one of the best nights I've had.
I was on the prime of my life; just turned out 20/21, forming as a pilot, starting to travel the world, had a great girlfriend that was outgoing and experimenting as hell… i was having a blast indeed. Yes, it was a hell of a fun time. Remember first time turning the console off, going out and hearing Pjanno by Eryc Pridz… some time later and it went out to be the music from TBOGT expansion, my god you guys can figure out how balonies i got when i heard the music in game for the first time.
Not a while after rockstar released the trailer from GTA V. I remember being absolute trash, but in the trailer they said those words

Whoever does the track mixing for the radio stations needs to get a raise. It's so professional. Although now that I think about it, The mixing has always been pretty good in GTA.
15:40 is when you slam the pedal all the way down and just feel yourself flying at however fast you dare to go. Of course I mean in the video game :) of course.

So much nostalgia!! Getting a helicopter to glitch underneath the gokart track, flying underneath the map for a bit and getting inside of the airport hanger. Driving the sultan RS across the map to show it off to the other people in the session...

This used to be one of my least favorite stations in gta 4. Nowadays I realise that it's full of straight heaters. Rockstar really knows their music man

Hanging out in the Middle Park East apartment, either cooling down from rampaging or browsing the net 💯 though I hadn't heard the whole list until recently starting to play again. Make It Happen was one. It's super addictive!
