Gotta love how the last bit just shows how much Mauga is capable. He has a goofy, positive personality with an underlying sense of malice. How the man power and guns of basically a small squad of troops and is smart/clever enough to get the job done in his own destructive way.
Yeah, he's thought it through and reacted in his own way! Covered everything there...
I love how he fits right in at Talon a bunch of big personalities connected by slightly similar goals.

Magua is a character I feel like we have been waiting a long time for. Yeah, it was nice to have your stoic and other times tragic characters. But it feels like it has been too long since we got a character who just loves what he does. A charismatic character that felt like it has been too long (or at least I can’t recall another one at the moment outside of Junkerqueen maybe… Junkrat perhaps?).
That and for all the talk of how Magua being as smart as he is strong, this was a nice way to showcase that by not only having him grab the thing they wanted the blueprints for, but to make it where there was seemingly no evidence left behind because the ship blew up and there was no way to send a signal out because he scrapped the relay.
Hard to say if the next couple of heroes will be as engaging as Magua, but he just brings a smile to my face whenever I see him.
He's a fun out there character with a bit of extra character depth from the short story :) Good to see him problem solving the situation in a different way!

I can’t express how much I love Mauga so freaking much from this spectacular short
I even love how despite acting so reckless and carefree at glance, he’s very calculated with how he handles the situation. It makes him both unpredictable and dangerous
Imagine how big a parachute would have to be to carry him.
And his guns????

Blizzard should just give the overwatch IP to an animation studio and let them handle it. Clearly that'd do their characters more justice than any of their games ever could.
I mean, these are often written by the Blizzard Narrative/Central Story Team in conjunction with the Overwatch Writing Team...so, the combo is pretty fun here! This is a total 80s cartoon caper - but Genesis was an interesting one!
Dare I say it, the Arcane treatment...

We all know damn well overwatch is capable of making a series.
Just simply adore this character, from the way he looks, him being the fun frantic character in Talon, and especially his fun personality, can’t forget that. 😂Also i would watch the hell out of an overwatch anime like this.
If only they would actually make an animated series like we’ve been asking since the beginning
Between this, the Doomfist origin stories, all the origin stories, Genesis.....so good!
Ow gameplay is atrocious now a days. The only good thing about it is the cinematics so an animated series would be awesome

Exactly my thought! Seeing this animated short made me sad that we don't get to play an MvM-like match with mauga
I’ve been a sombra main since 2016-2017 partly because of how much I love sombras kit and her fun personality but for the first time in so many years, Mauga is probably gonna either rival or dethrone her for me. it’s been so long since we’ve gotten a fun and goofy character that isn’t just a stoic or tragic loner.
Also this short heavily reminded me of the stuff I used to watch growing up on adult swim and Cartoon Network so it felt nostalgic to me👍
He's a smart guy - funny how he goes about things his own way! Yeah, it gave me big 80s/90s cartoon vibes :)

I liked the short. Really showed why Mauga is a dangerous tactician as much as a brawler.
I just love to think that Mauga the whole time just wanted to kill the bird but then realized that it was the distress signal so he went to get all of the plans

I love having a lighthearted Talon member in the lore. I think he has a chill vibe. I like it. Also glad to see more Talon operations. Offers them as a true parallel to Overwatch.
I think Ramattra betrayed Talon. Either that or Talon made a deal with Ramattra that they will help start his war and then they will start killing each other.
Sounding like he wants to profit from the conflict! On brand for Doomfist!
I need an animated series.
As far as the rest of the world is concerned, the ship suffered more damage than expected in Gothenburg and sank with all bots lost at sea. With everything going on in the Overwatch world I doubt Null Sector would spare time to salvage the ship soon enough to recover the security footage.

Mauga kinda gives the Gibby vibes from Apex Legends even if they don't share the same voice actor.

Quick advise for the future I saw u tinkering with the audio i dont know if u tried to make it fitting for you or for the audience, but for me personaly i think it was too quiet. So maybe if it was too loud for you, you could have the audio that will be in the video separately the next time so we can enjoy it with you :)

The thing I’m confused about is isn’t 2D much harder to do than 3D animation? I’m curious why they chose this right. I believe Disney literally made all 2D quit their job cuz they’re moving on to more 3D era styles.
Two things
First it would have been nice if they got the same people who did the doomfist cinematic to do this
Second is why are they stealing from Null Schecter when they're supposed to be working with them?
They are likely going to double cross each other sooner or later.
They only formed a temporary alliance.
Also, I’m pretty sure this is the same team who made the Doomfist origin story.
