I stopped using the 1-minute chart and found that the 5-minute timeframe works best for day trading… especially on high-volume momentum strategies.

Ok I finally figured it out. Webull ppl very helpful too.
I usually use Standard Candles to analyze my entries, and I usually use Heikin Ashi Candles time my analyzed exits.
The 1-minute timeframe is too impulse, unless if the indicator of the reversal becomes confirmed on the 5-minute timeframe.

I agree with you about the 5-MIN being a good reference point for the 2 or 1 MIN chart. I still prefer the 1-MIN chart because I can see the topping formation much clearer. I use thinkscript code to plot the 5M High and 5M Low so it's like trading transparent 5M charts :)

So, I just want to thank you. I am now using Support, Confirmation and Trend and really striving for all three before placing the trades. Also, following the 5 min over 1 min has removed quite a lot of the nervousness out of my mind when holding a position. You're a good teacher!

INTC is fantastic for day trading. The volatility is amazing. A $34 stock can fluctuate 10%. It is fantastically undervalued and will be part of the AI craze. At only 140 billion it could easily 10x if its new chips prove to be better than nvidia

5m works best during trending markets..when ranging however, still keep an eye on the 1m or 2m.

During consolidation, Swing Traders can also make money with Options using either the Straddle Strategy or the Wheel Strategy.

Cash-Secured Puts - between swings (depending on the trend).

It depends on what kind of stocks you trade. For sure, Tesla needs not only 5 min but often it's better to go with 15 min charts on it.

Am in that maze of trying to find better TFs, sometimes greed makes me go to as low as 30seconds..crazy...I mostly lose in such a case...it's true 5 minute is ideal, sweet spot...

Do you ever use anchored VWAP?
AVWAP on a min chart is very volatile and just conforms to the choppy nature of the timeframe. On a 5min might be smoother and better.
