Great video! Reminded me of my first time tent camping lol. Not sure if it would work, but try plugging up the hole in your tent with your pillow stuff sack. Maybe that will keep the creepy crawlies out haha.

A tent gets really hot even with one wall or partial roof in the sun. You will be thankful for that vent. Me, I like your hammock with a rope above it to hang a mosquito net and tarp. Good job! Great video!
Another great video Becca keep it up. I also love to go fishing. I think I have my tent collecting dust somewhere lol. You inspired me to do some camping again but I think I will stick to sleeping in my suv or cabin, my old queen self needs 4 sturdy walls for Arizona high country/bear country. That's a beautiful place WOW has to be Rhode Island. Everyone should experience for once in their life just how much of a pain in the ass putting up a camping tent is especially if you've never done it before. You did an awesome job. Nice campsite and steak and asparagus YUM!! I recommend a little horseradish sauce with a medium rare steak.

Ok old timer speaking here. New cheap tents are not treated. They make a Seam sealer. It's like a wax it fills the holes from the stichings. And also a water proof spray. To make it water proof. The tent is not bad for the price and the footprint size.
I definitely would say the mike is good but you don't need to be holding it up actually sounded good when free.
And a slice of bread for the bottom of the fry pan clean up. So deliciousness.
Not a roast just sharing experience with you.
Best small tent I ever had was a Coleman Hooligan. Super easy set up, held up well in rain and definitely didn’t have a zillion holes! They were like $80-90 last I saw.
Indeed... hard to beat Coleman tents.
The best thing are the tub floors that keep you so dry.
Might I recommend ALWAYS giving one's tent the water hose test.
Swimming inside your tent at 3:00 am.. kind of sucks.

I love Ozark trail fishing gear like Ozark trail fishing lures and fishing rods and reels Becca this remind me of when I whent camping for memorial day weekend and it was cool at first but the 3 day there was a big wind storm and I got scared and frick out that I got out of the tent ⛺ because it collapsed on me it was the most scariest thing
Agree. Ozark Trail isn't fancy but its cheap and gets the job done. Don't overlook it just because it's the Walmart store brand.

Hey there your so brave to camp out there by yourself. My mind would be going a mile a minute especially when those two men passed by and you were like nothing...lol I would definitely not be able to camp out there the moment you said sand fleas I am highly allergic to them!. Also it was 92 here today in tampa florida so I would gladly exchange weather with you with the heat index it felt like 100. Btw, there was never a problem with the sound on your videos I can't stand negative feed back but of course your going to get them regardless. The mic is cool and sounds great but a bit of advice. It sounds good even when your not holding it to talk. To bad the tent had holes if not It looked like a cool tent hopefully you'll get your money back for it. you don't need to cut the wood. just put the end in and as it burns and get smaller, just push it further into the fire. fire and heat goes up, so keep the piece level with the ground. that will prevent the fire from growing outside the pit area

Hey I love your channel I’m 40 years old and I wish I did this when I was your age as far as setting up a tent just takes a couple times and then you’re a pro but I will say that I have seen some hysterical fights at campgrounds between couples setting up a tent
New subscriber...love your passion/perseverance, Becca. Also recommend duct tape for unexpected "curbs". You could have jammed your pillow bag in the larger hole too. Good luck. Tiny alligator clip attached to your mic cord = easy fix.🐊
i would recommend letting the cast iron heat up first before throwing the meat on but that's just my opinion. beautiful area though, wow.

Always bring a roll of duck tape with you. You could have ran duck tape over the holes for peace of mind. Duck tape fix ever almost. Nice video.

Just a heads up B. Not supposed to cook on a fire starter log ,it's really not good for you lol, you would have been fine with just starting it with the kindle and placing the bigger branches over top. Great job and sweet vid 👏 !!!

I feel we lost ambient sounds without the GoPro mic. Your voice is clearer with the wireless mic. But it also picks up when you breath into it. And there is a loud pop when you speak too close. It sounds the best when it's half foot to a foot pointed at your mouth. I hope others will provide feedback too. Keep playing with it but still consider returning it within the return window if it doesn't work out.
I'm going to start car camping in my 98 Civic. I have a two-door 98 civ and I can fit my 8-ft kayak inside my car and close the trunk because I have no interior except for the seats the dash and the door panels no headline or no carpet no panels in the back no rear seats. She was on her way to becoming a race car and then gas went to $5 a gallon so I sold my minivan and started driving my Civic. But the seat's pretty cool it folds perfectly flat so I would have a nice bed and there's a lot a lot of room inside of a Civic with no interior. And you gave me this idea so thank you Becca and another great video but don't buy that 10 again cuz that was a crappy tent lol.

Sup Becca. Great video. Still in Maine? I suck at setting tents up lol, that looks like survival tent? Asparagus and ribeye are my favorite,, makes pee stink but tastes great🤣. I remember telling someone about ice fishing adventures with friend, cooking 2" ribeyes 2 nights a week and she said was glam camping🤔😂. Always bring duct tape👍. You did good girl👊. I have packs of little bags for seasoning, or can get them real cheap on ebay, all sizes. Was told never cook over a fire started with a fire starter brick? Chemicals?. When use wood can make a dirty steak, or wood charcoal, just lay it in fire after moving coals around, it's not dirty tho the coals and ash if any fall off. Proves you can survive! Girl Scout badge lol🤘🤙. Tyvm tc
