Haven’t had popcorn for a long time. But when I saw one hour on the clock, had to pop some corn.
Had some whiners around me complaining as to what is that irritating tapping sound and to what I’m watching. I said it’s the new musical by SLB lead works. Can you imagine to the sound of their ears, one hour of tapping.
    Anyways, thanks for the documentary.

Hey Stuart. Looks really good as always. You really need to sort that plumbing torch out 😉😅 i feel for you. Have you tried taking it apart a little bit. Maybe take the nozzle off and check for spark? My torch packed up a few years ago and it turned out some saw dust or something went down the tube. I cleared it out and its been perfect on the trigger ever since. Cheers 🔥

Hi, what's the reason for marking the timber roll please?(24.24) can it be done without it?
I'm a slater & tiler but I cut and weld everything whether it's front trays back gutters ect, my welding is a similar standard to yours but I was never taught to do bay roofs, timber roll work ect. Given the fact I work with lead every day and I'm already a good welder I'm planning on giving it a go as I've got a little bay window job that needs doing. The bossing round the timber roll is something I can do a couple of practices of in my shed but I'm slightly unsure about the upstand at the abutment of the wall.
    Thanks for sharing your work.

Great videos. Is there another product you can use that isn't building paper? As a flat roofer it's the worst thing and is the cause of a lot of fires as a lot of building are wrapped in it as well.

    • @slbleadworks

Thank you. You’re supposed to use building paper all the time. I’ve known some lead workers to use breathable roofing felt. But I suppose that’s just as flammable.

Nice job lad, better to use stainless instead of copper, as copper reacts to lead (been doing this for 49 years) fleece better than building paper as the paper sticks and restricts the movement of the lead, not criticising at all, keep up the good work
