I went kneeboarding in Brisbane river today and to get on the kneeboard I have to swim 20 m away and stay in the water for like 30 seconds. I am now really worried about the potential bull shark attack. I probably not going to do kneeboard again
While I couldn’t guarantee anything, I see people nearly everyday of the week wakeboarding and kneeboarding in the Brisbane River, and there has never been an attack on a person. So while the risk is there, no attacks thus far puts things into perspective.
Hey mate, if I recall correctly, it was a size 10 hook connected to 400lb wire trace which connects to a 150lb mono leader which connects to 50-80lb main line. Half a fresh mullet or freshwater eel does the trick. Best bet is to wait for the summer months when they’re super active.
here's a quick video of me releasing a bully with bolt cutters all over in 10 seconds and I'm not leaning over getting my hands too close to its mouth, since then Ive gone a larger set of cutters, also notice much larger heavier duty welders gloves. ruclips.net/video/6KNiAU0lZLI/видео.html But good videos , always enjoy watching this stuff.
A quick cut to where the hook is a fast release too. Mad backdrop with the city behind you!
Amazing to see - right in the middle of the CBD
Most infested shark river in the world!
Great videos mate keep it up 👍

they don't attack lol unless your bleeding
Those small sharks are so strong, no wonder attack victims said they were dragged around like a ragdoll.
Yeah it’s crazy how powerful they can be!
There's a couple with Costal Chaos videos who do their fishing up at Fraser and they hook a 10 ft female, you might like that video .

Seriously Bolt cutters, as a 100kg sharks gonna rule you way

Should make or buy a shark dehooker before you lose some fingers 😅 loving the vids though bud
Yeah Stevo I was getting a little too close for comfort this time. I’ll have to check out my options👍🏻
What kilo/ pound line did you use? And what bait and hook because I would like to catch a big shark in the Brisbane river
