LiS2 is CRIMINALLY underrated. Whilst being a new story it kept the same vibes, a similar (but improved) art style and still made some small references without relying on the first game’s story. I streamed it and my girlfriend tuned into the last 3 episodes (she’s only ever played/watched the first game and BTS) and she loved it, especially how more diverse the endings are and how your choices actually affect them. Could’ve been considered one of the best in the franchise if people had acknowledged it.
I'm looking forward to the next video about Life is Strange 2! I also think this game is underappreciated and a bit overlooked compared to other Life is Strange games. Thank you for making content about it, and thank you for all your other videos. They really feel sincere and genuine to me.
Some of these theories really were a throwback. Life is Strange 2 is my favourite one in the series, i even have the wolf brothers tattoo(and Chloe’s tattoo) because i loved the brothers that much. Man looking back now, some of the theories we had were a little out there lol, but it was so much fun speculating back then
I love LiS 2, It's my favourite in the franchise and I think it's great they did a different kind of story but still kept the "LiS feel", I just think they should of given it a sub title like True Colors instead of just putting "2" at the end as it made a lot people believe it was gunna be a direct sequel to the first game. Something like "Life is Strange: Into the Woods" would of been a better title. I've at least seen a lot more love for it these days then back when it first was releasing and I think the slow episode release schedule is one of the main things that made people turn away from it too. Great video!
My personal issue with LiS 2 is just how depressing it is. I've played through it twice, and I felt emotionally exhausted both times. It feels like the brothers just can't catch a real, lasting break throughout the story, and it's not like the endings make up for it. Like a light at the end of the tunnel sort of thing. I don't really like any of them, and even in the best ending (Parting Ways) the brothers are still separated. The only ending where they stick together (Blood Brothers) requires you to teach Daniel to be a shitty person, so that sucks. Redemption feels like a total waste after everything you went through to avoid the police and get to Mexico, not to mention Sean losing over a decade of his life. This brings me to another problem I have with the story - that it doesn't let the brothers just wait for the police at the beginning of the game. Objectively, I think everyone would have been better off that way. Even if (for some reason) Sean still goes to prison, it would be for a much shorter amount of time considering they haven't gone on a crime spree across the country. The issue with this is there would be no game at all, so I guess they had to make a stupid decision to kick things off. You can't turn yourself in until the very end, and at that point it's way too late - so why even bother? I sometimes hear people defend the game by saying that haters are just LiS and BTS fans who are upset it's not about Max or Chloe, but that's not a very good argument. I quite liked True Colors, and the only returning character in that is Steph. Wavelengths was really cool, as a quick side note. Really immersive, like I was working at the record store myself. TL;DR Story is depressing, endings are unsatisfying, and the brothers are stupid for only having the idea to surrender when it's far too late. My dislike for the game has nothing to do with it featuring new characters as I enjoy True Colors just fine.
its so crazy last time i saw you, you were at 500 subscribers and now its reached 1k. keep up the good content! lis 2 is probably my favorite game out of the bunch due to the complexity of it and the many endings that come with it(compared to the first) i also love the sibling relationship and the complications of sean trying to figure out the new father figure type of role he had to take on considering what happened, also the subtle interactions with daniel during my first playthrough that i didnt even think to notice that affected the future stakes of their relationship. i didnt feel for lis1 as much as i did for the second one for sure.
Hello :) I enjoy some Life is Strange 2 love ^-^ There are definitely theories I wish would’ve come true in the game (particularly, Karen having powers), but either way, it’s interesting to look back at them! I remember considering the “Karen is the reverend” theory while playing through the game, but I’m glad that this turned out to be wrong :) Never heard of the Court theory, but I kinda like it! While I think the culmination of Life is Strange 2’s choices is great the way it is, I love the implication of getting a different sentence for Sean depending on your choices - imagine the Redemption Ending worked like that, and you could get anything from “innocent” to “fifteen years”! Obviously, that would’ve been a little bit too much work, but hey, it’s fun to imagine :) Other theories that come to mind, not all of them my own: Brody is a Prescott: He totally could’ve changed his last name to Holloway, and I think this theory makes his character even more interesting than he already is :D Daniel’s cough: I thought it was similar to Max’s nose bleeding, but would end up killing him in the end if he used his powers too much D: Jinx came from Beaver Creek: Since Penny’s boyfriend shares a last name with the officer that visits the Reynolds at the end of Episode 2, it’s only a little bit far-fetched to believe that Jinx originally lived in Beaver Creek! A last assembly: I kinda hoped all characters Sean met during the journey would meet up in the end to help him reach Mexico :) Redemption is the canon ending: Since it is the longest ending, has a different time skip than the others, brings the game full circle by making Sean and Daniel visit the woods, possibly features Lyla in the flesh, reveals Joan’s fate by giving Karen her jacket _and_ is the ending that made me cry the most, I always thought that Redemption was the ending the developers “intended” you to pick. Mind you that it isn’t even my favorite ending (I love Parting Ways and Blood Brothers much more), but I couldn’t help but notice how much it stands out among the others … What are your own LIS2 theories, Noer? :) I’d be interested to hear them! Edit: Format
This ending would have been so much better Imagine a heartbroken Daniel just having to sell his brother out or an evil Daniel you’ve raised having a malicious laugh whilst selling his brother out Or they fight until the very end, sticking together and defending each other with all the love and kindness Daniel was taught It would have resonated so much more thematically than the half baked endings we got And fuck you can keep those endings too as a result of the court cases but at least we see further the consequences of the kid we’ve raised for better or worse What’s worse is every character that felt random and didn’t have much time to shine due to the poor episode structuring and road trip would have a chance for closure and depending on your time with them could add or detract from your case It reminds me of True Colors scene in the bar where people can either side with you or not It’s sad we’ll never see this It could have skyrocketed an otherwise problem filled game and tied together everything to eliminate most of those problems This is how they seriously dropped the ball
Life is Strange 2 is actually the best game in the series, has better characters, better setting, better graphics, better writing, better narrative, better pacing, and much much more…
@@mikaelsantos3001 God forbid people have an opinion you disagree with. If they think it’s the best Life is Strange game, then let them instead of replying with “nah bruh 💀”
@@Owen01 yeah that’s why I just said no . Because I disagree that’s my opinion. Did your mom drop you on your head or were you just born slow? I don’t think it’s that hard to understand.
Just started playing life is strange for the first time yesterday. Up to ep 2. I watched a full playthrough when I was kid and fell in love with it. The court idea would have been amazing and could have been so detailed. I still enjoy the endings we have however this could have also been an option if the boys didn’t cross the border, therefore probably leading to another 2 endings.
I also really would've loved the trial ending but I'm still very happy with the endings we got :) Life is strange 2 is very overhated and my personal fav
A trial ending for redemption would have been pretty interesting, it’s a shame we never got it, but instead we got a Daniel and Sean bonding in the woods 15 yrs later scene, which I think is better.
I just found your channel through my suggestions and I’m really into these Life is Strange videos. You’re doing awesome for such a small channel! Just one lil thing: I’ve noticed in some videos there’s times where you stumble over your words and repeat what you were saying (happens to the best of us), but it felt like you probably meant to cut it out and may have missed it? Aside from that, keep up the good work!
I don’t think he is because in Captain Spirit or LIS2 EP4 there’s a letter or a note saying that his Dad might or did send Chris to live with his grandparents so he can get the help he needs
@@Audiomaker49he’s talking about the endings for Blood Brothers and lone wolf where Daniel is in Mexico and can’t stop the bus from falling into the lake.
What about the Throwback Theory that Daniel would help save the Earth from an Asteroid impact? Oh wait, that was only me. (Penny: "You can't hear? Only me.) But I'm still hopeful since the Double Exposure trailer that I was right but just 2 games too early.
I feel bad for LiS2. It's definitely not as good as LiS1 or BtS, and it commits the unforgiveable sin of "being different," but it's still a good story. I feel that the comparisons to the original game which sharing the title provokes did not help it. And then there's True Colors which is... fine.
True Colors was good and did better than LIS2. The problem was that they called it LIS 2, implying it'd a sequel when really it's not I think they realized that and decided to just call the Franchise Life Is Strange and no longer give it numbers.

Is it just me or do you look like an older version of Chris?
that’s his secret..😂
LOL I can't unsee it 😂
If they ever do a sequel with adult Daniel and Chris they better hire me.
@@Noer1987It's possible Chris could be in Double Exposure if Max visits Away at the time that the Redemption Campfire photo was taken.
