Magnet stories were mainly a sea of fine print but there were usually half a dozen illustrations. In the early Magnet stories Bunter was nowhere near as fat as he was later and when the (quite sturdy) Johnny Bull was introduced as a regular character Bunter was given those checked 'Bags' (Trousers) so readers could tell them apart.
Used to love this when I was a kid.
Classic stuff from early TV
Very good we need them back on TV
Doubtful if they still have the tapes
Oh Lord , it 's Quelch !
Yarooh!
What I want to know is how Bunter managed to totally disregard the school's uniform code with check trousers and bow tie...
Good one! He got away with a lot (sometimes), don't know how I missed what was so glaringly obvious!

Elton John!
Don't tell Elt!! He'll have one of his hissy fits!
Where is the diversity? I've been lied to, they managed in 1954 without it.
Why don't we have good wholesome fun like this these days instead of not fullly swearing talentless comedians
And I'm
NOT a prude in any way
Innocent times, it's hard to say why it all went wrong to today's quagmire
Must be a later episode - no Kynaston Reeves as Quelch and an awful electronification of the Vaughn Williams theme music.
Portsmouth intro.
I preferred the orchestral version which sounded great.
