THANK YOU!! I was about to dump mine - frustrated...but saw how you could take the carburetor apart...thought it was a sealed unit. Took it apart - cleaned it out - running like a top !! THANKS!!
@@PNWSmallEngineandLawn YES! Your RUclips video and instructions were so good, that I immediately did the same to mine! Just followed what you did! Fantastic job!. But now, the battery shows 'green' light (fully charged) but only does a bit of a buzzing sound when pushing the button. Unit is about 5 yrs old(?). bad battery - or bad starter???
I have this exact model and would like to replace the carburetor but cant seem to find a replacement. I find several on amazon but they have the spring loaded choke instead of the switch choke like in this video. Any suggestions?
I would go to websites like partstree, ereplacementparts, or Jack's small engines and see if you can find a diagram. From there you can either buy the carb or get the part number and look by part number
I have tried your suggestion of moving the red plastic lever to the Off/Stop position, holding the choke open and then sliding the choke control assembly onto the carb. The results are the same, the choke control lever will not both open and close the butterfly. My linkage is the same as yours. A three position hard plastic, red choke lever. A carb that has an upper post that engages the inside curve of the red plastic choke control lever. When the red control lever is in the Off or Cold Start position the butterfly is closed and the lever is not in contact with the red choke control lever. The red control lever does not want to move from Cold Start to Warm Start. The red control lever makes contact with the post on top of the carb but just pushes against it. The butterfly will not open. Separately the red choke control lever as well as the choke butterfly move easily.
Im haveing trouble getting the main jet out, looks like it may be stripped. Any ideas how to get that out? Or can I clean it with out removing the jet all the way?
If it is stripped in the past I have used a smaller flathead screw driver and tapped on it. Smaller easy outs can work but it destroys the jet. Best idea is true get some carb spray and try cleaning it without removing it
Thanks.....I'd like more detail on carb cleanout.... I'm aware of float valve getting crud. Not confident on removing those other items to clean.. would help with close up...
Thanks for the info. I have started lowering the angle and getting closer. I wouldn't be to worried about removing everything else. If you do and have any questions feel free to let me know and I can answer your questions
I have that unit. Trying to get the electric start to work before selling it. I have never used the electric start. the pull start works fine. The battery is fully charged but pushing the button does nothing. No crank. Any suggestions?
I would take the starter off and connect it to a battery and see if it is any good. If so make sure the switch connections are good or if there is a bad ground
i have the exact same unit, I removed and cleaned the carburetor, no problem. What"s the trick to re-installing the choke lever onto the carb? The lever does not rotate the butterfly to the open position, it just pushes against the butteryfly post.
first time to try and start power washer (Subrau) why won't battery charge? Pluged in all night it wont click or anything thing! Dose water have to be truned on just to start?
O hace it, on mine the Bendix went away inside the electrical starter. Now, I can’t find the Bendix or the Electric Starter it’s still working but with the rope. It’s 3,100 psi.
Does the battery matter when trying to pull start this? Mine battery is dead and I am trying to pull start with no success, sounds like it's the carburator huh?
@@PNWSmallEngineandLawn so I changed the carburator, change the spark plug, still wouldn't start on pull. Then I Bought some starter fluid, sprayed it like you did and it started on the first pull, any thoughts on what's wrong with my unit?
I have the same power washer but mine . Had to pull start or will not start on the starter button took the spark plug out will crank with that out but not with it in have you seen this before
Yes. I would say either the battery is low or you could have to adjust the valves. If the valves are out of adjustment the compression release isn't working and the starter can't overcome the compression
If you turn the switch to the run position then you can put the bracket on then the air filter housing. Put the two 10mm nuts on and turn the switch to choke. After that make sure you see the choke is closed. If it is then just put the air filter on and the cover.

Glad to help. Always like it when a machine can be saved

Luckily this is my personal machine. I will take a look when I get home. I can take a quick video and get it posted
Yeah just fixed one 2 weeks ago. Drove me crazy..leaking. Cleaned carb...new bowl gasket....finally it was the needle. Thank God I had a needle
Leaking fuel drives me insane. It never leaks when everything is apart, only when everything is put back together
Great video! Thanks.
Great video good job explaining everything.
And the video with the carburetor was awesome thank you I did the same thing
😊
great video and instructions were excellent. Now, where can I find carbeurator parts for my power washer?
Partstree.com or Amazon are good places
Wow, my problems are solved! Thanks.
Glad it helped
Great video. Fixed it myself. Seems to idle much higher now.... Is that a problem?
I would make sure the linkage on the throttle isn't bound up
Awesome video! In depth!!
What did you spray at your video 3:27 ? Carburetor clean spray?
Yes. You can use brake clean or carb clean

If it has the same switch as mine you should be able to turn the switch to off and open the choke. It should slide on. Do you have a metal linkage?
first time to try and start power washer (Subrau) why won't battery charge? Pluged in all night it wont click or anything thing! Dose water have to be truned on just to start?
It does have to be turn to choke or run before it will allow the starter to run. Of not then it is probably a bad battery or maybe bad starter
And the video with the carburetor was awesome thank you I did the same thing
Another job well done sir 🤠
Excellent
Are you in the Pacific Northwest which city?
I am about 30 min outside Portland Oregon

Probably the carb. Battery wouldn't have an effect

So. Ours will not start via electric.
Only with rope.
Battery is good.
Suggestions?
I would check the battery again. It isn't spinning the motor fast enough. It could also be a carb problem. Needs a cleaning.
I have the same Subaru power washer I have a problem with the switch I don't remember how it goes back together can you help me

The jet is too tight and I could not unscrew it. I probably striped it. Any suggestions?
Only other suggestion is a easy out but it will ruin the jet
So overall is this a good buy for residential cleaning jobs? Or waste of money?
Ya it is a good machine. Just make sure it doesn't run low on oil
Thanks!
I’m about to buy this same pressure washer from someone for 50 n he said the battery is just dead can you make a video on how to change the battery
I can. I will probably make it and hopefully have it up in a few days
Sometimes the carb buoy gets stock and overflows
Ya. Just had that exact same issue with another model just like this
And those green gaskets....SUCK
And the video with the carburetor was awesome thank you I did the same thing
