hi did you do it? my g37x '09 is awd and looks pretty much rhe same, the only problem is i cant take the rack out, there is not enough room between the transmission and rack, any help would be appreciated i see your comment is recent.
Thanks for the video bro, question how did you block your steering when removing the steering shaft? Just by locking when u turn off the engine or u used the seatbelts to block? Sheers
I made the steering wheel lock or i made sure the steering wheel was straight when i took it off and never moved it when re installing. I did have to adjust a few times so making a mark on the shaft would help a lot.
@@bobaganoosh88 oh man I’ve been smacking this thing with no success. Does anything else have to be loosened off other than the 2 12mm bolts on the shaft? Thanks for your reply:)
@@bobaganoosh88 oh I’m talking about the lower/upper steering u joints. Seems it’s quite seized. Tried heating up,breaker bar, penetrant spray. At this point I think I might be doing something wrong lol
@@joshkullman505 like the ball joint similar to the tie rod ends? Need a good size hammer and really give it hell or one or more pickle forks in there. I've always had them come out with really hard hits from a hammer. Im in Michigan so usually I get some of the worst corrosion, when I do a little heat goes a long way.
Great video. Helpful for g37x models as well!

What about that electronic thing that screws into the rack? I cant get my off
Should be a pinch clip holding the connector onto the rack if I remember correctly.
great video!!!
Good job, but next time, don't spend half the video on removing the cotter key lol :) jk
Any more rust and it would've taken 3/4 of the video! 😜
